Room is spacious and cool

Great place to stay if you drive. It has its own car porch. Breakfast is not buffet spread. But food is good. Staff are friendly.

Wonderful toilet, horrible room.
Jacuzzi with TV, Personal parking lot, Room ambience controller, Complimentary snacks and drinks, Big super king size bed, 10 -15 mins walk to train station

Quite a bad experience staying in this Motel. (Well, it's not a hotel)
Room with mosquitoes,
Smelly and dirty carpet with cigarette burnt marks,
Slight smoke smell from cigarette,
Stained blanket cover fortunately with no unusual smell,
Unfriendly and rude staff at reception and restaurant,
No daily make up room service,
Big and bright Exit and Fire lights which affect sleeping,
Knocking sound at night and early in the morning.

This is a motel for lovers to go, nice and romantic decor. It is good to us to drive our car in and stay overnight. Its location is convenient and value for money.

Interesting hotel with room selection

Staying in Shantis is very interesting. Each room is unique on its own with different design. If you happen to be there when the rooms are not fully occupied, you can choose which type of room you want to stay. The hotel however did not make our room after a night stay, maybe you need to inform the receptionist you want the room cleaned. There is also individual car park for each room. Very interesting experience.

Great location with excellent rooms

Have read good and bad reviews about this hotel when we made the booking, so we came in here with an open mind. We were plesantly surprised! Check-in was a breeze, being over in 30 seconds, and our room were big and comfortable, with a gigantic jacuzzi, where we relaxed and watch our favourite Taiwanese variety shows at the same time.
The location of this hotel was also a plus, within walking distance to the train station, and also 5 min taxi ride away from the Carrefour supermarket and night market.
The after 8pm check-in time did not make this place perfect (as in all things), but we just spend the evening happily shopping at the night market and arrived in good time for a good rest in the hotel room.

Weird Motel with Bad Service

This property is a strange concept.
At first glance, it seems to be a spa hotel. Yet, my room had no spa. It was more like a 3-level townhouse built for 2 people.
It is a motel, so the first level is for parking, and the second level is the living area.
The third level is the weird part. All it contained was an extra shower and toilet. It opened up into this large outdoor area that contained . . . nothing. It seemed as though it had been designed for spa use and later decommissioned. So now it is useless.
The worst thing about this property was the service. When I tried to enter the lobby, the office lady blocked the entrance and said the Chinese equivalent of 'What do you want?'
This property is also used as a Love Hotel, so they rushed me out at check out time. And the worst thing is that you cannot check-in until 8pm so they can rent it out for 'a rest' during the day. You could tell what the previous guests had been doing by the semen marks on the carpet and couch.
It is also located far from anything of interest in Chiayi.
So, just avoid it.

hotel provide taxi calling service.
however, should be more flexible on the check in timing.

nice room!!! it made me more surprise!!! the room was clean, widely, with a big jacuzzi!!!!! surprise !!!! it does not has door or curtain for bathroom!!!

Very beatiful hotel

i love this hotel room, but the check-in time is very odd. the staff require us to check in at 8.00pm. i told the staff whether can we check in early as we reach the hotel in the noon.i also told them that my husband was not feeling well as he had suffer an asthma attack early and need a room to rest.however, the staff was not even helpful and insist that we can check in at 8.00pm. so we spent the whole afternoon outside walking to kill time. the hotel roon is very beautiful inside but lack of facility. there is no warerobe to hang and store our clothing.

Interesting & Nice Hotel
Great for self-drive tourist & couple

interesting experience as the parking area is part of the hotel room. the room nice and clean. staff is nice and attentive.
however, breakfast is abit too cold.
overall, the room is great for couple or tourist who wants to experience 汽车旅馆。
