จองเข้าพักไว้ล่วงหน้า แต่มาช้า พนักงานก็ให้พัก ไม่มีค่า charge และวันที่ check out โรงแรมกำหนดไว้ 11.00น.ถือว่าเร็วกว่าที่อื่น แต่ก็ยังใจดีให้ฝากกระเป๋าไว้ได้ เลยได้ไปทานอาหาร ซื้อของ ก่อนจะเดินทางต่อ
สบู่ ยาสระผม ไม่มีให้ก็ไม่ว่ากัน แต่สำหรับการพักห้อง standard Air Con ไม่ได้ซื้อห้องพักรวม 8-10 คนสักหน่อย น้ำดื่ม ไม่มีให้เลยสักขวดหนึ่ง

ที่พักราคาประหยัดใกล้แหล่งชุมชน

เป็นโฮลเทลที่สบาย แต่พอกลางคืนของกินในตัวเมืองจะหายากหน่อย แต่ถ้าตอนกลางวันจะอยู่ใกล้ตลาดสด ทำให้หาของกินได้ง่าย ห้องพักก็สะอาดดี โดยรวมก็ประทับใจ การตกแต่งก็สวยดี รวมความเก่าเข้ากับใหม่

ผมยังไม่เคยพักแบบโฮสเทลในภูเก็ต ก็เลยลองเลือกพักที่นี่ เพราะว่าจะสะดวกในการต่อรถไปยังหาดกะตะ และหาดป่าตองที่สุด ห้องพักเป็นเตียงสองชั้นจำนวนสองเตียง รวมพักได้สี่คนต่อห้อง ห้องน้ำรวมดูงงนิดหน่อยที่ติดกระจกไว้ตรงโถปัสสาวะ ห้องน้ำชายมีสามห้อง มีเครื่องทำน้ำอุ่น และน้ำก็แรงดี โรงแรมมีคูปองให้แลกเครื่องดื่มได้ที่ร้านด้านหน้า เขียนว่าแลกได้ 7.00-12.00 pm แต่ผมกลับมาที่โรงแรมตอน 8.30pm ร้านก็ปิดไปแล้ว แต่ไม่ได้ซีเรียสอะไร โรงแรมให้เครื่องนอนมาจัดการปูผ้าปูที่นอนและปลอกหมอนเองด้วย
คำแนะนำที่เที่ยวกลางคืน:
ย่านถนนเยาวราช และถนนกระบี่ ไม่ไกลจากที่พักนัก มีร้านให้นั่งดื่มมากมายเลยครับ สำหรับนักท่องราตรี

ห้องพักแบบ Standard Air Condition เป็นห้องที่อยู่คนละตึกกับฟร้อน เลยไม่มีทีวี ตู้เย็น ตู้เสื้อผ้า มีแต่เตียงนอน แต่ก็ยังดีที่ยังมี WiFi ให้เล่นไม่งั้นเหงาแย่เลย... ไปตอนแรกพนักงานบอกว่าใช้ไม่ได้ เลยขอเปลี่ยนห้องเขาก็ยอมให้เปลี่ยนนะ น่ารักดี แต่พอลอง connect ดูก็ต่อได้ เลยไม่ย้ายห้อง แบบว่าไม่ค่อยเรื่องมากขอให้นอนสบายก็พอ เพราะปกติไม่ค่อยติดทีวีเท่าไหร่ ติด internet มากกว่า

Unlike the aircon rooms which are located in a reconditioned building a few doors down the road, the fan rooms are at the rear of the main building – adjacent the small garden area.
You will find bigger, less expensive fan rooms in Phuket town but I keep returning to Phuket Backpackers because of its good position (adjacent the fresh food markets, a 24 hour 7-11 supermarket, the bus stops to the beaches and close to town central shopping and other businesses) and its good travel desk (now at the main bar) where ferry tickets to the islands are appreciably cheaper than at the pier and include free van transport.
My room was just big enough for two people and their gear and had a comfy bed and pillows,an old tv and an easy chair. It was just about due for a repaint and some tlc. Being out the back it was pretty quiet. The bathroom had good hot water, towels + toilet paper but no soap. Lighting was okay. Main complaint was that heat soak from the roof made it pretty hot – the fan was okay but people who like their cool should maybe look at the aircon rooms.
The backpacker kitchen is nearby to brew up a cuppa or prepare a meal (there are also plenty of hot food choices out on the street and in the markets) , adjacent the kitchen is a tv/video/free computer (only 2 these days) room and the lively pub/lounge is out fronting the street.
Wondering if pub noise had spoiled the partly-overhead dorm area I went up and checked it out. The good news is that sound proof doors have been installed which keeps outside racket to a minimum (including 4am set-up noise at the markets which used to be a problem for dorms overlooking the street) – the doors also keep in cool air from 2 big aircon systems so even though the dorms are classed as fan they were appreciably cooler than when I have stayed up there. The dorm area including bathrooms was as spotless as usual.

we came in on a late flight into phuket (nightmare at the airport btw) and our cab dropped us off around 1am. there were friendly people at the reception and also there is a bar with pool tables so the place was fairly lively. living area at the back so it was pretty quiet for us to sleep though. bathrooms were old and pretty dirty. windows didn't work either. it was cheap and we just needed a bed for the night. ok for price.

its an average hostel, suitable if you just looking for a place to stop for a while before continuing your travelling. but very clean and neat.

A great Backpackers, all you could need!
Reasonably prices, did everything they said they would but they need to keep the restaurant open later!

We enjoyed out time here enroute to Phi Phi (as most are I guess). We had a double room, close to the reception area. They helped us hire a bike to explore the Island and also had lots of DVDs and Games to play when looking to Kill time.

Good position for ferry travellers
Clean, great travel desk; 10 minutes to ferry; central position close to markets, shopping, some nightlife, transport to other Phuket locations.

Phuket Backpackers has an ideal position for people landing in Phuket and wishing to catch a ferry south. It is only a few km from the pier, has an excellent travel desk that manages to sell ferry tickets considerably cheaper than at the pier (go figure) and the price includes free van transfers to the pier.
The central position within Phuket town is pretty good too – adjacent you have the fresh food markets, the songthaew (small public bus) stops for the beaches and most other Phuket island destinations, a 7/11 and several budget priced Muslim general and vegetarian restaurants. General shopping and some night-life venues are pretty close.
I’ve stayed many times in Phuket Backpackers squeaky clean budget backpacking dorms but this is the first time I’ve used their double rooms. These used to be in a small garden setting behind the backpacker area but it seems recently they have purchased and refurbished a hotel about 3 places north on the street which has given them an extra 20 units minimum. Our room was clean, spacious, king bed pretty firm but not the killer some Thai beds can be. Quiet aircon and fan no hanging areas for clothes. Okay bathroom with good hot water, towels, toilet tissue but no soap. All rooms are set back from the street so miss the market set up noise that begins maybe 4am.

-Your security door electronic disk works on the entrance to the backpacker section which is handy if you want to access the free computers, movies on the big screen or hot water/cooking facilities in the small kitchen.
-The backpacker section has a new bar/reception area streetside – your taxi/shuttle will drop you here. If you are staying in the backpacker dorms it might pay to ask for one not close to the street to avoid the bar’s noise plus traffic and market set up stuff which begins before sunrise.
-The market is a terrific source of fresh and cooked food. The cheaper section is across the road up a small lane. There are also some good budget clothing places up there.
-There is a bar/restaurant playing cool live music within 10 minutes – turn right out of PB, walk 80m to big roundabout, turn left, walk another 80m or so.
