this grand old hotel is within close walking distance to many sites of interest and the retail stores. the heating in our room seemed to fluctuate during the course of our stay, but apart from this the room was very comfortable.
we really liked the location of this place.

Good location, nice but a bit too small for family
good location, attractions in walking distance.

we chose pedro palace because of its location, where we can walk to main attractions. room is a bit too small for our family (two adults and two small kids). breakfast (price not included in hotel charge) is ok, not so many choices but come with fine quality.

Very well located hotel

Very well located and convenient to walk to several major sight seeing sites including the Hermitage and the Issac Cathedral. Levensky Prospect Street is walking distance and you can go there every evening from the hotel. The river cruise are also nearby. Eating places plenty nearby. However, this hotel is an old property and looks bit run down. The building is older but the hotel itself has been in this building just about 6 years.

Perfectly located hotel

i have stayed in the hotel a few times and it is my place of choice in st petersburg. highly recommended. one word of warning though, make sure that you inform the taxi driver accurately of your departing terminal when leaving, as it can be expensive to go from one terminal to another by taxi if wrong. as i found out.

It may not look very modern but rather a more nostagic feel. The room is spacious and has the basic amenities, eg toothbrush and toothpaste which most hotels do not offer unless you request for them. Definitely a very comfortable hotel to stay in. Also, it is very near to many of the tourist attractions. It is just about ten minute walk to the hermitage.

the hotel is in the very good location, easily to access in central area as nevsky prospect and metro station only 10 mins walk. in addition, you can go to the tourist attraction on foot around the hotel or take metro only 1 station from nevsky station. many restaurants around the hotel are good especially japanese food

Excellent location and a service from staff that excels many previous experiences in Russia. I arrived shortly before midnight and there where no available restuarant with food in the hotel. It made me a little disappointed. The sky bar is open till 2 a.m., prefect for beer (and smoking), since lobby bar is non-smoking. Small protected parking in the court yard and free parking outside entrance.
On the total a good stay, good smooth service level. For looking at St Petersburg sights, location excells. I recommend.

this was my second stay in this hotel. everything was fine, except very expensive wi-fi service in room. you better go to atrium and use free wi-fi there.

When you come out of the hotel turn right until the corner of the building, then turn right again and walk until next intersection. You will find Antrekot restaurant, food, service, everything is very nice.
