Nice location, very close to main historic sites.
This hotel is close to major attractions, just a short walk to Hagia sophia, Blue mosque and Topkapi palace. Very close to Gulhane park and tram.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, clean room and comfortable with good location (central). No sachet of coffee in the room, boring breakfast menu. Very good wifi reception. Hotel a little bit expensive to compare other hotel nearby. However, my email to the hotel prior to my stay was not able to get through.

Lovely hotel with great location

Me and my friend had a really pleasant stay at Raymond Hotel. The room we stayed in was really beautiful and comfortable. The hotel was in a really awesome and lively location which made it really accessible and also made it easy to walk to the main attractions in Istanbul. It is also just 5 minutes walk away from the Topkapi Palace and also 2 minutes away from great local restaurants. All in all, we the hotel really exceeded our expectations and its value for money. If we ever go to Istanbul again, we will definitely stay at Raymond Hotel.

Choose the restaurants wisely in Sultan Ahmed as you can actually dine for less than 25 Lira for two people. Most of the restaurants are aimed at charging tourists with high price.

Easy to reach from Basmane Station but small hill on the way may be your walk a little difficult. Room very very small but clean and no problems with hot water. Staff very helpful and warm. Building has no lift so if you are overloaded take a breath before go upstairs. TV had no channels in English. Breakfast fair.

From the street in front of the hotel just take left and walk free till see a large avenue. At other side starts all the narrow streets of the bazaar are. Walk through and you will have s very interesting way to reach the waterfront (Konak Pier)

Very nice small hotel in the great location.Tram stop only 1 min walk.All tourist attractions walking distance and you don't need to use public transport for sightseeing.Staff very kind and helpful, always ready to help. Rooms nice, clean but a bit small.Food average.Bedding and towels changed daily.

Hotel with small rooms

We are honeymooner and we are disappointed with the hotel, especially one of the staff at the reception (curly blonde hair guy) is not at all helpful. We book this hotel because of good reviews by other travellers. However, to our disappointment, there are many problems with the room we are given (no hot water after turning on the tap for over 20 minutes, water coming out from the bathroom wall, lights not working). We reported these to the reception and asking to change room, we are told that only one room on the lobby floor which was very dark and no view at all (looking at the wall of another building) could be given to us as alternative. The receptionist further say that the room given to us at first was good and nice and no problem at all (What lies he is telling!) With no other alternative, we opt to take the room with many problems and asked the hotel to fix the problems for us and finish our 2 not that happy nights there. The room is so tiny that there is no room to place our luggages. We have to place it inside the wardrobe and on the chair. Also,the breakfast provided here is not attractive with little choices though the staff at restaurant are nice fellows.
