"You can’t beat the hotel’s proximity to the State Capitol, downtown shopping, 6th Street restaurants and night life, bike-jogging-walking path along the water. Hotel staff is extra friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. The traditional room, queen bed, (which was so extra comfy I asked what type of pillows & mattress!) is a bit smaller than a lot of the newer hotel rooms. However, considering the historic value and age of the hotel, you’d never know you were in an older room as far as decor, amenities, size of bathroom, closet. We were in Austin to have fun, which we did, thanks to being so close to everything we wanted to do! Totally recommend!!"
