"It's a good experience to spend a few nights in Cradle Mountain, we saw Aurora lights! The resorts park provided different kinds of accommodations and I was in the dormitory. Kitchen was spacious and very useful. Hot water, shower.. nothing to complain. Wifi at the reception only but that's enough. Groceries weren't very expensive. Eg: Postcards A$1 Devondale 1L milk A$ 3.3 Eggs 6EA A$ 4.8 Shin Ramyeon Noodle A$ 3."

"We had a spa cottage. Lots of privacy and surrounded by nature. Bring your own bubble bath:) We spotted wallabies and echidnas near our cottage. Meals are generally costly in cradle mountain area. We felt that the Hellyer's restaurant at cradle mountain wilderness village served wonderful meals for lunch n dinner. We paid about $30-$40 per pax. However, it was too costly for breakfast- $25/pax for eggs done in different ways on the menu. The kitchenette was fully equipped which allowed us to cook our own breakfasts. We happened to try dinner at Peppers Lodge as well as Cradle Mountain Hotel- both served yummy fare. Expect to pay a lot more at Peppers Lodge. Location was great- 10 min walk to the Visitors' Centre where we took the shuttle bus to the starting point of various walks at cradle mountain. Wonderful stay!"

"Thank you to the staff at Cradle Mountain Hotel! I have always received unfailingly helpful and polite service over the phone or in person. I had originally booked 1 night in a Standard and the next night in a King Split, but when I checked in the lady at the front desk offered to upgrade me so I wouldn't have to move to different room for the time I was there and I spent my stay in the King Split option. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of amenities and a lot of options and incentives to be environmentally friendly with your use of room service. I LOVED having the juliette balcony to look out over nature, and that the hotel had a small nature walk nearby. It's an extremely convenient location and I'll stay here again when I'm next in Cradle Mountain! "

"After a full day's walk in Cradle Mountain, it is great to know that a good dinner will be ready when you return to Cradle Lodge. The chef may ask you what you might wish to have for dinner the next day, and the dessert will always be something familiar, but with a twist. "

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge and used it as a base to climb Cradle Mountain. The cabins are quite simple but spacious and warm. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well located with little meandering paths everywhere. The hotel left complimentary port and cookies in our room which was almost as nice a surprise as the wombat, possum and wallabies that roamed around our porch and the hotel grounds - completely unafraid of us. We loved that there was no t.v, and that the room was huge. The bed was a little bit lumpy and could probably use an upgrade and there is a small amount of maintenance required in the rooms (i.e. the heated towel rack was broken), but overall this was an exceptional getaway to a very beautiful and underrated part of Australia. The three course meal we had at the restaurant was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Everything served was perfect. Do steer clear of the Bistro though as the meals are almost as expensive as in the restaurant and no where near as good. "

"I dunno why you are considering this accommodation, but I booked this because it was just 800m from Tasmazia. And less than an hour from Cradle Mountain. We got the Loft Studio which is very spacious (can sleep 5), and has a gas fireplace, which the proprietor was nice enough to start up for us before our arrival to warm up the place. Lovely! And my wife ALWAYS loves a place with electric blankets (because I always bring her to cold, god-forsaken places for holidays). We had one nice day with sunny weather to enjoy Tasmazia, and a drive up to Cradle Mountain, but the rains came back after that and we couldn't use the other facilities like the play equipment for children, and the treehouse. My daughter would have loved that! "

"Clean, well equipped and very cosy cabin perfect for our pre-Overland Track hike. Delicious (massive!) breakfast basket available on request, very helpful and friendly staff. Literally 2 minutes walk to the Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre and an easy 15-20 minute stroll to the Cradle Mountain Bistro&Bar for dinner, with plenty of wombats and pademelons to see en route! Will definitely stay again the next time we’re visiting Cradle Mountain!"

"Gorgeous hotel in the middle of Cradle mountain-lake st clair national park. House may look simple outside but its very nice inside. Well stocked kitchenette with the necessary pots, pans , knives, bowls and cutlery. The peeler in our room was not sharp and we gave up peeling the potatoes we bought. We enjoyed standing outside our house under the gorgeous starlit sky. May be quite expensive if you book during peak period. "
