Best Vacation EVER!”

My fiance and I chose to go to Anantara Layan Phuket Resort and found ourselves in Heaven. The staff and facilities were outstanding, one of the best resorts in the world. Other than the location, of being super far from the main towns (Phuket Town and Patong), with shortage of transportation and really expensive taxi rides (grab), the resort was THE BEST. The staff are too nice to even compliment, the facilties and water sport activities are awesome! There's too much food to eat with so much varieties. Except for a baby cockroach that somehow came in the showers, the room is over the top! Definitely coming back!

Perfect resort for quiet and relaxing holiday”

Some people say this is the best resort they have ever been to - which we agree. Most quiet Anantara resort in Phuket. We spent three nights here from 17-20 April as a long weekend getaway and birthday celebration. All the team members are great - everyone is so great and has a consistent high service standard. They are all friendly and are ready to help. Special thanks to our villa host, Ethel (and she is from HK who of course speaks Cantonese and Mandarin); the chef in Dee Plee the Thai restaurant, Pitak (he gave us a superb Thai cooking class and market tour), Alif (the bartendar who gave us a great cocktail class), and everyone else who made us very welcomed. Food and beverage - Dee Plee is the best Thai restaurant in Phuket. Pitak is a very talented chef creating many innovative dishes. There is nice romantic seaview you can’t miss. We also had private dining in the Chapel for birthday dinner and private BBQ in villa. The arrangement, decoration and food are all very nice (admittedly they cost but they are worth the money). Spice Spoon cooking class (instructed by Pitak himself!) and the cocktail class (with Alif as instructor) are of super fun and high quality. Spa treatments - anantara spa is of very high quality, with very good therapists. Nice pool-villa: we booked the beachfront layan pool villa in which there is a hidden direct access to the beach. Very big villa with separate living room and bedroom. Beach activities: they got a nice quiet beach, with kayat and pedal board, and you can take a long tail boat (around 2k TB) to a nearby small island for snorkeling. But tidal effect is huge - you can only do all these high tide (half a day). No beach activities during low tide, but you have a very beautiful sunset walking out there. Nearby renovation: there were some constructions going on over the hill side building some luxury mansions. However the constructions seem to be finishing by the time we were there.

Great services & food”

I have to say, if you expected to stay in a very luxury hotel, Anantara Layan is not. But if you crave for good services and nice food, this is your choice! The location of the resort is pretty remote, but then it gives you a quiet environment, right? and the food served in both restaurant are lovely with reasonable price, which is highly recommended. And the staff are just lovely, they care you all the way, and honestly, they are so sweet to notice your needs from time to time!

A Luxury Resort with Great Service”

A Luxury Resort with Great Service. Excellent food quality of the buffet breakfast. The environment is great. But one point I think they can be improve is the waiters who serve the breakfast always forget which table they have been served or not after they asked you to get tea or coffee. I kept asking them to have the tea and juice for few times but they still forget it. Anyway, the overall of Anantara Phuket Layan is still great.

First Experience with Anantara”

First time staying with Ananatara and like any other people who had experience staying with them, it did exceeded our expectations in lots of ways. Booked 5 days 4 nights for our wedding anniversary and stayed at the Family Pool Villa. From the moment we checked in till the day we left; we were treated with excellent service by dedicated staff members. The villa we stayed in was in very good condition and housekeeping was excellent. One of the best breakfast buffet we ever had so far compared to other resorts we have stayed. There was an upgrade renovation going on opposite the restaurant thus seats are a little bit limited. Will definitely come back and stay with Anantara Phuket again

Maybe the best value for money luxury option in Phuket”

First things first: I love Thai food. Real Thai food. And Anantara is great at that. The dishes were authentic, spicy and real. The menu is long enough to eat in the restaurant twice a day for a week without getting bored, but not so long the quality suffered. I have been a Thai food fan for years and this is the best resort I've tried as far as food goes. And then the privacy: The resort is small-ish. You can be private without issues. The very, very nice private laguna beach only caters a small group of people, the pool is the same and of course, I could be totally on my own in my private pool villa. The staff was fantastic. Personal and friendly and attentive without being "used car salesmen". A few less positive observations: If you want to use the south of the island this is not the best location. My villa would benefit from a brush-up, especially the patio. But all in all, if you want a near-luxury experience with good value for money I find Anantara to be the place.

Anantara really impressed me. This is my first time with Anantara, and I will put this resort to the top of my list to go back again. Staff was incredible friendly , professional and great service mind. It was my birthday, we asked them for a cake for celebration. They said the bakery was closed but they will bake a new one for us if we could wait for three hours. Three hours later, room service came to my room with the cake, candle and light!!Moreover, it is free of charge! The room was really great, breakfast had plenty of food even there are not many guest. The beach is not the best but there service make everything wonderful. It is better than I expected.

Anantara at its best”

I have been to many Anantara Hotels and all of them are extremely good but the Layan is by far one of the best Hotels. Everything I am looking at a Hotel, small, unique, luxury, extremely good food (the breakfast is one of its kind), the staff, the accommodation, everything is perfect! This was my 3rd stay and there will be more to come in the future for sure!

Fantastic, as usual. It was my second stay in Anantara in 6 months and it was great again. Big clean room with huge bath & balcony. Very helpful staff. Tasty breakfast with champagne :)) Private beach with free rental of sport equipment. One of the best hotels on Phuket

Extremely impressed!!”

This place really impressed me during my stay for 4 days and 3 nights. When I was checking in, the reception was very nice and helpful. All staff here were well trained, nice, and respectful. I stayed at Premier room and Sala Pool Villa. The rooms were spacious, clean, and exquisitely decorated. Really enjoy numerous facilities and activities available at the hotel. You can ask all the staff for any information or support from them. Moreover, I also tried the spa here and really impressed by the service, the places, and the vibes. An AGE restaurant is something worth trying once during the trip. The hotel is not too far from the airport but quite a distance from Phuket City, so well plan if you plan for any business or dining in the city. Anyway, the private beach, the bay, and the view from the hotel is fascinating!!! Highly recommended for anyone finding the joyful vacation in Phuket.

Beautiful resort with a pool overlooking the sea. Beach facilities are very good like the beach beds/ availability of staff/ etc, though the beach is not very good- it is not for swimming. But amazing views and other facilities, cover up for everything. Breakfast spread needs a special mention. Rooms are just as amazing as you expect. Only hiccup is the wifi. The staff will keep telling you that IT team is working on it- but it will never happen. So, ask for a separate route which they happily provide. Gym and pool is just outstanding. Bagghi is available at a moment's notice. The resort manager is very sweet and polite. This resort is meant for those who need a peaceful beach holiday away from the nightlife and jostle of patong. Travel is not easy - only resort taxis are available which is 5 times of usual taxi price. I have mentioned all pros and cons , but overall this resort is just fabulous!! Worth money spent...

Perfect for a relaxing weekend”

Superb stay in this amazing hotel! The room is very big, with a nice balcony and great amenities (nespresso machine, apple TV, toileteries, etc). The 2 pools are great, with the spa pool being quieter for some relaxing time. Great service of all staff as well. The amazing food has played a great part in this relaxing weekend! Delicious food from both restaurants (the appetizers are just amazing!!) and the breakfast is definitely 5-star, with so many healthy options! We loved the whole experience! This Anantara is definitely better than the vacation club in Mai Khao, we definitely recommend it to traveller!

Best Phuket Honeymoon”

We stayed in a suite and it was amazing !! The food, service and grounds were awesome. We even got GREAT weather in August , which we were nervous about since it's rainy season. This hotel feels like you are on a deserted island. Nothing else in view except gorgeous scenery!! Also - you can swim there unlike other beaches in August in Phuket which normally have red flags. Since it was an isolated lagoon, the water is calm and you can actually go in it without fear of rip tides ! They have free water sports on the beach everyday and the pool is great ! We loved happy hour by the pool! Fantastic resort. Fantastic honeymoon !!

Really chilled environment and the great service! ”

The resort is about 30 minutes away from the airport and is located close to the natural reserve area. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The environment of the resort is nice and comfortable. We had a great time staying with Anantara and will definitely chose the group next time when we travel.

The best hideaway ever!”

The service was excellent, the staff will treat you like you’re king and queen. The hotel has a lot of activities for you to do such as kayak, surfing, riding bicycle to the near by national park. The facilities are great. A very fine 5-star hotel. During the Covid-19 period, all the room are sanitized, they also provide you a free mask and alcohol gel. There’s a fruit basket in the room and even ice! I had the best experience in Phuket thanks to this hotel, all the helpful staff and very kind hotel manager!

Best hotel Ive stayed in my entire life”

Breakfast was included with my Pool Villa and both the food and the room were amazing. Breakfast was the best buffet Ive ever had. There were sufficient Vegan or plant-based options during breakfast. Room was comfortable and the private pool very nice. Location is good and is not far from most tours. I think location is comfortable even if you go all the way north or south of Phuket. Staff was the best during my stay in Thailand.

Everything was awesome. Hotel staff were very humble and down to earth. They were very helpful. I would highly recommend this property. We have even thought of booking anantara for other locations.

Beautiful resort, villa and beach. Love their signature spa. Breakfast is good. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Limited amenities can be improved. The food in this resort is very expensive as compared to many 5 stars resorts in the region. With only 2 restaurants in this resort, it’s very restricted. Overall experience is good.
