Friendly and helpful staffs”

My family and I spent 4 days in Phuket this time, staying in Angsana Villa Resort Phuket. We had a 2 bedroom villa near to the swimming pool. Upon check-in we were brief by the front desk friendly staffs, then the concierge took us to our villa, gave us a tour of the villa and pointed out the important features. The villa was clean and the services were good and prompt. When we requested for late check-out because we spent the last day at the Phi Phi Island, and our flight out of Phuket was late at night, the helpful staffs gave us a shower room upon our return from Phi Phi Island trip, it's a 3-BR villa with private pool! We would like to mention Angsana's staffs who took care of us and left us with a good impression of the resort. They are Top, Bell, and Nina. Great job, keep it up!

Spectacular and relaxing villa”

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with the own private pool. Staying at this villa is the best decision I made on this trip or else I wouldn't have enjoyed Phuket as much. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful and upon checking in, there is a welcome drink and a cool towel, which I thought was very thoughtful. After you check in, they will arrange a golf cart to drive you to your villa as their resort is quite large. Once we got into the villa, we were in awe about how huge the villa was. The living and dining room is very spacious and there is a flat screen LCD tv and a DVD player which you can rent 2 movies per night free at their reception. The private pool is great, the length is good enough for a few laps around and there are lounge beds around the pool if you want to lie down and tan. Having your own private pool makes a huge difference compared to staying at a regular hotel! The master bedroom is just so huge, even the walk in closet is enormous! In the master bedroom, the bathroom is really half the room... it's really that large. There is a very spacious bathtub in the middle and a standing shower space beside it. We enjoyed the fact that the resort has its own private beach where you can have their staff to shuttle you to and from the beach free of charge. Also, they deliver free continental breakfast to your villa every night so you can put it in the fridge and take it out every morning and enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your own dining room. We also booked a BBQ package where they lend you a gas BBQ stove and they provide meats, salads, and sides for you to BBQ in the comfort of your own backyard. I really think that families or a party of 4 or more will enjoy staying here because you can basically relax and enjoy the features of the resort and the Laguna resort already. However, if you enjoy night life a lot, you just need to be prepared to fork out 600 BAHT one-way to Patong.

beautiful villas resort”

Meet the five-star standard. The scenery in resort is really good, we take a lot of pictures. the room is far away to front desk, it needs to call a vehicle of hotel to go to anywhere. the kitchen is large and tools is complete, we are all regret that we didn't buy some food to cook. the swimming pool in 3 bedrooms villa is to deep for children to swim. BTW, there have two angsana villas resorts in this district, our driver made a mistake with these two hotels. we have to wait for 20 minutes for this hotel send a car to pick up us. so please tell the driver exactly address to save your time.

The hotel name is confusing causing wrong booking, but amazing duplex apartment.”

1. The former name of this hotel was call `Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort' which was confused with the other similiar hotel called `Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort' which I wanted to book originally. 2. Now it has been changed to `Angsanna Villas and Resort' which is confusion with the other hotel in Laguna called `Angsanna Lagunna Phuket'. You must clearly tell the taxi driver of the destination because these hotels are far apart. 3. The location of this hotel is at the periphery of Laguna which is far away from beach 4. The hotel is small with one small swimming pool and restaurant. The quality of food is very good. 5. It made me supprise the room is a duplex and enviornment is good. I was totally satisfied with all the facilities here. It is good for a family. 6. You can hire a bike to travel around laguna. 7. It has only a shuttle half hourly going to Canal Village. If you want to go to other Laguna hotels, you must get change of Laguna shuttle at Canal Village. 8. I still rate this hotel 9/10 mark although it is a bit far away. I will come back here if travel again to Phuket.

Fantastic Staff, Good Resort”

We stayed at the Angsana Villas Resort Phuket. The staff are respectful, attentive and great. The resort is good and could do with some minor upgrades. More bathrooms near the main pool. There were not enough staff at the pool area if you wanted to order poolside food and drinks. Overall due to the location and proximity to town, it would also be great if there was a variety of onsite restaurants and accessibility to buy some groceries.

A great getaway, away from the hustle and bustle”

My partner and I really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Outrigger because of its exclusivity and the fact that it is away from the city area (we loved the private beach. sand was like powder and water super clear.) I read other reviews commenting on the inconvenience of getting around the resort due to waiting for shuttle buses. Actually, if you don't mind the extra exercise, they provide complimentary bicycles which are great for getting around because the other resorts are actually not that far away. You can cycle to the restaurants at the other resorts if you don't like the food at outrigger. You can also cycle outside of the resort; the provide good-quality bicycle helmets. We stayed in the 2-room villa and it was very clean and comfortable. Decent kitchen with all the necessary cutlery and appliances (they even have a washing machine!). You can rent DVD at the reception to watch in the villa for free. Room service was better than expected. We ordered the steak and it was surprisingly tender. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay there. But I must say this is not suitable for those who are looking for an exciting night life and to be in the hustle and bustle, because it is true that outrigger is very inconvenient in terms of location. So only if you're looking for a short and sweet getaway, outrigger would be a great choice.

Quality apartment with resort facilities”

Upgraded to 2 bed room duplex. Living room with spacious open kitchen on the lower floor, 2 bed rooms on the upper duplex with fantastic bird view over the pool and pond. The Angsana Villa rsort is located at the comparatively silent area of Laguna but you can enjoy most of the facilities offered by the groups of resorts like Laguna, Xana Club, Banyan tree, etc. through the complimentary transfer. Good value for money, I will definitely come back again.

Very good”

The villa was very clean and service was great! However, the 4 bedrm villa was rather dated and things did look like it was starting to fall apart. The villa definitely looked much better in the photos. We also had problems with the water in the shower as well -- extreme fluctuating temperatures of water across all bathrooms and no hot water at all in one bathroom. It was frustrating especially with kids on the trip. The hotel staff were quick to send engineers down. The hot water was restored but there were still fluctuations in water temperature, just not as extreme as before. We just learnt to manage it by manually adjusting the mixer. We accessed the beach through the sister Angsana Laguna resort and found that the facilities and ambience at Angsana Laguna was a lot better. If you do not need a 4 bedroom, I would recommend getting a room at the Angsana Laguna instead and forgo the private pool at Angsana Villas. I suspect you might get better value at the newer resorts.

Great family-friendly resort”

Great 2 bedroom villas with a wonderful pool at our backyard within short walking distance. The kids club is wonderful for the boys to spend some energy. The pool in front of our breakfast kitchen Panache has a great view as well. The connection to the rest of the Banyan Tree hotel group including Angsana Laguna Phuket with the treehouse kids club, the Poolside restaurant, and Bodega & Grill is fantastic.

Good service and deluxe house for big party except hot water in washroom”

This is my third times stay at Laguna Phuket. I traveled with my friends ( total 7 people) in four rooms private villa for 4 nights. Everything was great when i meet hotel reception. As our party arrived early ( check in time at 3pm), hotel reception staff offered 50% off discount for us enjoy first meal in Phuket, this was a good way to solve the problem and raise up profit for hotel. The villa is perfect except the hot water apply in washroom (three washroom), it is not stable to provide hot water when bathed. Also, that have a problem of air-con in the bedroom on first night. We did contacted with operator several times, but air-con still not working ( two rooms). On the second day, we informed the situation to housekeeping cleaner, she reported it immediately and fixed it before we back.We are truly thank you for her afford. Except the hot water & air-con problem, everything was amazing and perfect. We borrowed a BBQ set and enjoyed a wonderful time with friend in villa.

Nice hotel but not a worth value of money”

I selected to stay in Angsana Villas resort (Laguna Fairway) which is located quite far (1.5 km) from Lobby and restaurant. The room was nice, but the facility is not good as expected especially kid club. In kid club everything is quite broken in both Angsana Villas and Angsana resort.. For Angsana Laguna resort which is located 5.6 km away from Laguna Fairway. The restaurant "Bodega Grill" is excellent. However, the service of resort golf car driver is awful. He refused to transfer us to the restaurant and give the reason as the car is not big enough for all of us.

Great stay, Helpful and Friendly staff”

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel, for my son 5th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, my son hit the back of his head on the first day at hotel lobby (he played around the sofa area, and hit on the edge of the chair). The hotel staffs were very helpful, brought out the first aid kit (but don’t know how to do first aid). Luckily, there was a nurse (a guest) at the lobby helped us, she did a quick clean up. Hotel arranged a transport, like in a second, to get us to the clinic in Laguna village. The people in the clinic were helpful and my son got 3 stitches on his birthday. The driver waited us outside, and made a special arrangement to drive us to the restaurant (their vehicle is only for drive around the Laguna village). After we got back to the hotel, we sent us a get well recovery gift, with animal billions, fruit plate and a note. Later that evening, they sent us a birthday cake which I previous arranged. The hotel room was upgrade to 2 bedroom suites, facing the garden/swimming pool. Not close to beach but they offer golf car to drive you there at certain time. We had our breakfast there, food and selection is fair, not best. The swimming pool is relatively small but it is still okay. I like the environment, very relaxing and quiet. The hotel is close to other sightseeing sites and Laguna is located in the center of Phuket, easy access to other area of Phuket, like 20 min to here and 20 min to there.

Superb villa for big groups n families”

Welcome by friendly staffs at reception. Very efficient group of service people who promptly brought our group to our villa, showed n explained to us villa facilities n services available getting ard. The 4 bedrooms villa was really awsome, very clean villa n pool water temp just nice compared to some which are icy cold. Resort provided daily make up for villas thus ensuring clean n comfy accomodation greeting us daily after each tiring day back to villa. Free shuttles (which u call e receptn n ard 5 mins they pick u up at ur villa door) r provided to the reception area. From there, u can take their free shuttles to canal village ( Supermkt area) to do shopping n buy neccessities. There is aso free shuttles to bangtao beach which take ard10-15mins to reach. Just a note , families with young kids , pool is 1.4m deep. Other than that, highly reccomended villa n v worth the value!

Beautiful villa's and great facilities & service.”

traveling as a family with both young children and an older teenager and this was a great options for us. large sized villa meant everyone had their own rooms and plenty of space for everyone. and the private pool was perfect. the resort is a little out of the way, but it's not really a problem as they have plenty of shuttle buses to local beaches and a taxi anywhere is very cheap and accessible. the kids play room was brilliant and my son loved spending time there. there is even a baby elephant that comes to breakfast each day which is really cool. you can hire scooters through the hotel too which is much less risky than getting them from outside the hotel where i have heard of many insurance / theft scams. the roads are quiet too so our teenage son had a great time riding around. the service is very friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Staff is exceptional, location is gorgeous ”

I loved our stay here more than I could have imagined! We checked in quite late (around midnight) due to travel and the staff was kind enough to allow for a late check out. On top of that they offered us storage and the use of a room for showering before we needed to leave to our next destination (that’s a first for me!). We were excited to explore the Laguna area, we weren’t expecting to use the facilities that long, but we ended up spending so much time at the Villas and utilizing the shuttles around the area. Breakfast was great, the pool is clean (and family friendly), add in a view of the mountains and bikes for exploring and what else could you need? The villas provided excellent service and a nice change of pace from some of the other Phuket views.

Fantastic villas but local beach not great”

Just back from 4 nights at the Outrigger, we upgraded to a 4 bed villa at a very reasonable cost of about a a night. The 4 bed villa is much bigger than the 2 & 3 beds so well worth paying the extra as we were initially booked in a 2 bed. The villas have everything you need and the resort itself is very peaceful. The kids club could have been a little bigger but the staff were quite friendly and helpful. The local beach Layan is a bit disappointing, the hotel chairs are quite worn and it feels a bit grotty compared to Bang Tao beach were the Sheraton and the Dusit are. We hired a car so we could pop out to supermarket and for dinner whenever we wanted as the shuttles are not that frequent and the place is quite isolated. We ate at Bites Cafe one night and the food was very good although quite pricey when you compare it to the restaurants on the beack. Would recommend the Beach Bar in front of the Sheraton(need to walk through hotel)as food is excellent.All in all a really great few days!

Perfect for families ”

We stayed 4N in the 3-bedroom villa with private pool. The size of the villa was big enough to accommodate 6 adults and 2 young children. We even cooked some light meals in the villa for the little ones. The young ones enjoyed the kids' club best. There's a hotel trsf to Bang Tao beach which is 5 min away. The entire estate is very serene. Was hoping to see more variety for the breakfast spread though.

Exceptional”

Good place for family with kids, very friendly staff. It offers free shuttle bus in Laguna region and facilities in Angsana Laguna resort which has very nice big pool. Food is ok and we are comfortable eating in the resort for all meals during our stay

Quiet environment perfect for relaxation”

Basic facilities may not entertain families with older kids who won't like play house any more. The shuttle bus network connecting the hotels in the lagoon region is free of charge and convenient to hop on and off. All the friendly staff at Angsana Villas Resort really treated us as friends and wouldn't let us down. The birthday cake to my husband really meant a lot to our whole family.

Fantastic Resort”

We were visiting for a family wedding in Patong, the location was alittle farther out of town then we originally thought, but we rented a car and it worked out well. the resort itself is well kept and very clean, the 3 bedroom Villa was very spacious and the pool was great to take a swim in each morning before we headed out for the day. the resort has its own beach (Layan Beach) which is about 3-4 minutes from the main gate (the resort has shuttle buses to take you there), the beach is beautiful and the sunsets were spectacular.
