“Tolerable Stay But Improvements Needed”
Hotel location is very good, however I feel breakfast spread could be better, on our last day, they had allowed fried rice that was already spoilt to be served, and when my husband informed the staff that it was spoilt AFTER he had tasted it, the staff replied ‘I know’ and just took his plate away. Front desk staff were ok, however I feel generally all the staff need to be abit more friendly. They were unwilling to give a late checkout without charging, even if it was just for an hour, which I feel could be reviewed given that we stayed a few days, however they allowed us to store our luggage at the reception as our flight was only at 11pm. They do not clean rooms everyday, which I find odd, not even neaten the rooms, but they changed towels daily. The hotel has a very worn feeling to it, and rooms look quite beaten down, even the aircon flaps were missing which made the aircon in the room look very dirty like any insect might fall out of it anytime. They allow smoking right outside the room, but then send you a notice of a 2k thb fine for a ‘cleaning’ fee due to cigarette smell in the room, however it is not humanly possible for cigarette smell not to waft into room when you open the door, especially when the table to smoke at is literally at your front door, however they waived off the fine when we explained the above theory to them. Just find it ironic that such a fine would be imposed when they don’t even clean the rooms each day, and there is no carpets in the room, so what this is something that is very redundant. Other than this, I think it was a tolerable stay, but I would consider other hotel options the next time I visit Krabi.
