It's the best value hotel. I chose it because of the large public bath, and the room condition was top-notch. It was very clean, the refrigerator was small but effective, and the heating and cooling could be easily adjusted. The windows were safely operable, allowing for good ventilation. Particularly, the bathroom was relatively large compared to the room size, and the bathtub was not small, clean, and the facilities were state-of-the-art, leaving no room for complaints. You can truly experience the bathing culture of Japan. You can take a half-body soak in the bathtub in your room and use the public bath and open-air bath comfortably. Since Tokyo travel involves a lot of walking, my knees hurt and my feet were sore by the end of the day, so choosing a hotel with a public bath was a stroke of genius. So I highly recommend Appa Hotel over other hotels in Roppongi. The hotel size is larger than it looks from the outside, and the lobby is nice, which made me feel good since check-in. Also, I don't think you need to upgrade for a Tokyo Tower view room. You can see Tokyo Tower while walking nearby, and after enjoying the great night view from the 52nd-floor observatory at Roppongi Hills, it didn't matter if I couldn't see it from my room. Although I stayed in a Tokyo Tower view room, it was blocked by the Azabudai Hills building, so you could only see half of the Tokyo Tower. If you request a higher floor, the views are all great. Since Azabujuban is also close, I highly recommend taking a walk there; the streets are very pretty and you can buy high-quality sashimi, sushi, and lunch boxes at a low price from the supermarket, which are much tastier than convenience store food. The location is just right for walking to the subway station. When going to the airport, it’s very convenient and nice to buy tickets at the Grand Hilton Hotel right next to Roppongi Hills and take the limousine bus to Narita Airport.
