Lovely warm hotel with a strategic location”
I had booked this hotel through Agoda two months before my date of stay and the reason why I chose De La Ferns was because it is still relatively a new hotel. I have heard negative reviews about old hotels having musky smell in Cameron Highlands. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the warm and attentive staff and we were led to our room on 5th floor (I had requested for a high floor room with a bath tub previously). The room did not disappoint. It was spacious, clean and well maintained, no musky smell or whatsoever. Had a really great time in Cameron Highlands. Plus point of the hotel is that it is located at Tanah Rata, away from the busy chaotic town of Brinchang, yet Brinchang is not far away if you have a car to travel. Strategic location, near to Smokehouse where people like to enjoy a cup of tea with their scones. Near to strawberry farms. Clean bathroom, the only thing I wished was that the hot water from the water heater can be hotter, it was not hot enough. Many had complained on Agoda about the noise issue from the Highway which did not really affect me because I am a heavy sleeper and the noise did tone down at night. The only complaint i have is probably the slow internet connection in the hotel which I took an hour to send my email. Morning breakfast was from 7.30am to 10.30am. I had my breakfast at 9.30 am and there was still plenty of food. The selection and choices of food did manage to impress me, I would say it is generally better than many hotels in KL. Though not the best but I find it impressive especially in Cameron Highlands. Hearty breakfast with wide choices, the only thing I wish I could have is non halal English breakfast which is a shame as the hotel has to cater for muslim guests. Overrall it was an enjoyable experience. I will definitely stay again in this hotel. No doubt!=) Thank you De La Ferns, for making my stay a magical one!

Nice hotel with service & smile and great location”
We had gone to Cameron highlands for 4 days and 3 nights - and having a nice, new hotel at great location just made it perfect for us. De La Ferns is exactly between Brinchang & Tanah Rata (2 kms each side) so you have a choice to walk down to either place. It's on the highway - if you get a non-road facing room (like us), it's a boon. The scenery is beautiful from the balconies; has a souvenir shop just outside of the hotel and the staff is always smiling with a proactive manager. The breakfast is complimentary so you don't have to worry to fill your stomach in the morning. All in all - just perfect!

Good hotel - quiet, clean, good location”
While the Hotel De La Ferns is not a "boutique" hotel (as it styles itself on the homepage - for that it is too large and rooms look too much like standard hotel rooms), it is certainly one of the best options in the Cameron Highlands for travellers looking for 4 star accommodation outside of the busy areas. When we arrived, the hotel manager greeted us by name (we arrived late in the day and were the only guests not having arrived for the day - but still a nice personal touch). We had asked for a quiet room with the reservation, and were pleasantly surprised when we saw our room - it was large, newly looking, and towards the back of the building, so no noise from the road. The hotel offers plenty of parking spaces, and it's only a 5 minute drive to downtown Tanah Rata with restaurants and shops. Breakfast in the morning was a good selection of American, Continental and Asian food. We would have liked to see some more fresh fruit, but the selection was generally good. All in all, we had a pleasant two night stay at the Hotel De La Ferns and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Good to stay Hotel”
Location is good, you just need about 5 ~ 8 minutes you can reach Brinchang town and 10 minutes from hotel is tanah Rata, is a very convenience hotel, i will said because the hotel is pretty new, thus all the facilities are clean and in good condition. they even have iron in the room, it supprice me. cause most of the hotel don't provide unless you ask. beside there is a lot of Fly flying around (in Cameron, you can see Fly everyway, so no so suprice), maybe the management should put some insect killer equitment in the restoran. but the waiter/ess are helpful, they light up some candel on the table to keep those fly away. i will said is a good experience to stay in this hotel. will still consider it in future if i would like to go to cameron highland

Hotel de la Ferns”
This hotel is in a great position just out of Tanah Rata, a very interesting small town featuring some excellent and cheap ethnic eateries. It is within walking distance of the town and some great trekking trails. The newish well decorated boutique hotel has large, spacious and comfortable rooms, most with a great view of the surrounding Cameron Highlands. The staff are very friendly and helpful, with most having some English. Meals are a mixture of Western and Asian cuisine, quite delicious and good value. I would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Review of Hotel De La Fern”
A boutique hotel that is new and clean, being only about 4 months old. We booked the triple room and it was quite spacious. The LCD TV was a good quality Toshiba although cable channels were rather limited. A DVD player would have been good to provide more entertainment options. The quality of the furnishings could have been better so that they will not deteriorate in the damp climate. Location is convenient if you drive since it is at the mid point between Brinchang and Tanah Rata, making it a shorter drive to both towns. Otherwise, it is not really a convenient walk to town along the busy main road. Our room was facing the main road and the traffic noise was quite annoying since the windows have to left open for ventilation. A mosquito screen covering the windows should be installed keep out any flying insects. Breakfast is good, with adequate selection and good quality food, although an egg station would have been great. Amazingly, there were very few flies compared to other hotels we have been to in Cameron Highlands.

cameron de'la ferns”
We landed in de'la ferns in March 2010 and though we had asked for early check-in we had to while away 3 hours roaming about before a room was available. This may be attributed to school holiday season, but we were convinced because of the friendly nature of the staff and didnt mind waiting. The hotel room was really neat and the hotel is very much accessible from Tanah Ratah town. They arranged taxis whenever we requested. The only improvement could be to add few more vegetarian items to their menu. Otherwise, our stay was very pleasant in the beautiful Cameron highlands.

Great hotel in a good location”
I sayed in Hotel De La Ferns Cameron Highlands for 2 nights in Family Suit on 5th floor. Room condition is so nice. Sceinary around the hotel also nice. You can see golf course from the windows. Their staff is very friendly. I can enjoy in-room internet. It's only RM5/hour. We have some problem with the only 1 bathroom for 6 people in family suit. It is very long que in the morning and before bed time. For over all of this hotel, I recommended to stay in this hotel. Hotel De La Ferns Cameron Highlands is worth for your money.

Gorgeous Hotel”
we previously researched this hotel an noted the comments about the room adjacent to the main road and the road noise. we had one of those rooms and the noise wasn't a factor. it is 1½kms from the town of tanah rata which was an easy 20min stroll. tanah rata would be the pick of the towns to stay at in the cameron highlands i believe.

Great place to stay in Cameron Highlands”
I am happy staying at this hotel as the room is very comfortable, stylish and luxury. The surroundings are a breathaking scenery Cameron Highlands has to offer. The location is great - not far from the attractions and most important it is not in the busy Tanah Rata and Brinchang town. Staff hospitality is excellent and the food provided fulfilled the taste buds of the local and foreign tourists.

Clean, strategic place. comfy. ”
in between tanah rata & brinchang, this place is near to both places. will be appreciated during traffic jam. Nice place to stay because its a pretty calm location compared to other place. During my stay, menu is nasi lemak, 1 type of chicken, mee/meehoon, pastry only croissant & bread - wholemeal & white, sausage, wedges, scrambled eggs, baked beans, salad - 3types of leaf & tomato with 1 dressing..not complaining, i think other hotel in cameron might offer almost the same thing. Next to hotel is halal steamboat restaurant, decent..also has other western menu. Since there is not too many people, my room is clean, no stain. But its carpeted. Not dusty so its ok. This place is near to taman sedia. If you wanna go jogging you can run at the side road for 500m then turn at the smokehouse, to taman sedia where the area is pretty nice. Im satisfied with the stay mostly due to cleanliness & location. Bed is comfy & water pressure good.

Definitely worth the stay...”
as newlyweds, we had the chance to stay in de la ferns for our short honeymoon period. the hotel was in a very good location, just between brinchang and tanah rata. right outside the hotel's premises is a steamboat/western restaurant and a large souvenir shop so even when you don't feel like going out, you can dine/shop for last minute gifts for friends & families. the hotel has a small but cozy lobby. my wife loves fresh flowers, and having a lot of flowers around the hotel and lobby was indeed pleasant. the staff, though somewhat helpful, could be more guest friendly; i was the one greeting them upon reaching the reception. the superior room provided during our stay was more than comfortable. it has a balcony facing the main road and being situated on the top floor, we had a good view of the surrounding hills of cameron highlands. the nifty little things like coffee & tea packets, toilets and slippers were also a nice touch, although it all depends on what you would expect, after all, a budget traveler, and splurging during my travels for an rm200+ room isn't something i do often. still, the standard of the room was to what i expected. the cleanliness was somewhat a hit and miss. the room was fine, but we did notice that the bathroom sink was not thoroughly cleaned and traces of stain (vomit?) in it. this was rectified after a call though. also, the in-room hair dryer was broken and though it was replaced soon after, but it does spoil an otherwise quiet, romantic evening as the technician had to venture into the room to inspect the appliance. the breakfast buffet was a treat. my wife and i were not common to buffet but judging from the taste and variety, it was more than pleasant. all in all, de la ferns is a good hotel, it made our trip to cameron highlands worthwhile and we would certainly come back for another lovely stay.

Great location, Nice breakfast and Clean room”
This hotel has a great location, away from the busy chaotic town of Brinchang and tanah rata, yet can get to towns in minutes by car. The room is clean, hot water for shower is perfect, balcony provides great nature views. Breakfast time is from 7.30am to 10.30am, there are so many choices of food and the food is nice. I had my breakfast at about 9am. About leaving the dining room, i noticed there are flies on buffet foods. I wish the staff can pay attention to it. Overall i enjoyed my times at this hotel and cameron highlands!

Lovely hotel”
The Hotel de la Ferns is relatively new. The room was extremely comfortable, serviced every day and bottled water was provided. The staff was very friendly and the manager most attentive - we received a complimentary fruit platter on our last day. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Asian breakfast was provided and in addition there were some Western items - baked beans, croissants and pastries. The hotel is situated about 2km out of Tanah Rata, but it was a pleasant walk to get in there, either down the road, or along the path through the kampong behind the hotel which led to a walking path through the jungle.

New and clean hotel in Cameron Highlands”
Hotel de la Ferns is a new and clean hotel. After reading a lot of reviews on other Cameron Highland hotels and about how most hotels lacked hygiene, we were glad that we found this hotel. The rooms are spacious and very light. We also enjoyed the breakfast on the porch of the hotel. A visit to the tea plants isn't too hard, there are tea plants nearby.

De La Frern Fern Cameron - A Choice to Stay”
It's a real stay. Located strategically between Tanah Rata and Brinchang, it's convenience to move around the places. The Steamboat restaurant next door is a plus ! It's worth spending the nights here. One thing I wish the hotel can improve is their landscape and flower arrangements...despite being in Cameron Highland where flowers blooms almost everyday, the hotel does not have the best flower and landscape arrangement.

Wonderful staff, wonderful stay”
my spouse and i had a wonderful time at hotel de la ferns. we really needed a break from kl city. the staff at the front desk, at the front entrance, in the dining area, and our female housekeeper were all genuinely helpful and friendly. we felt quite at home in a comfortable room with a view of cameron highland trees and mist covered mountains. the major suggestion for the hotel is to provide free internet service throughout the hotel including in the rooms. overall good value for the rate we paid via agoda. thank you agoda, thank you staff at de la ferns!

Very good, new hotel”
Hotel de La Ferns is a new built hotel. We stayed there for two nights and don't have any complaints. Very good service, nice staff, good value for money, the room was pretty clean and the location was near all important sights in Cameron Highlands. Breakfast buffet was above standard, and the hotel exterior is super, especially at night when the lights are on. We also had a nice view because we were given a top floor room after asking it when we booked.

Good place to stay”
It is situated mid way between Tana Rata and Brincham. I always went into Tana Rata if I needed anything. Fixed taxi fare of $10 Malaysian. Hotel itself was quiet. I had room 509 on top floor looking out over the valley at the back. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were very polite and helpful. Range of food available for breakfast was extraordinary. Complimentary bottles of water everyday was a nice touch. Met the owner one day and he stressed it was a family concern and he was very keen to ensure everything was OK. Ate in the restaurant each night (2) and their vegetables with the meals were really good. Try the Fish meuniere - delicious. Do also try their Steamboat. It was fabulous. Normally served for minimum of 2 persons but managed to persuade them to make an exception. Will definitely stay again if I come back to the Cameron Highlands.

Good Hotel in the Middle of Cameron”
I had booked De La Ferns after reading multiple positive reviews, and the hotel turned out to be a good place. We were 3 couples traveling to Cameron and had booked the hotel for one day. Since we were reaching Cameron in morning itself, I called up the hotel for early check-in. The staff were quite friendly and assured us that the rooms will be available. Upon reaching the hotel, we had an easy check-in process. We were however given twin beds instead of double. We mentioned to the staff that we had booked double bed, and they managed to provide us only 2 rooms with double bed. So, please ensure that you get a confirmation of a double bed booking before arrival! The rooms themselves were quite cozy and spacious. Being located between Tanah Rata and Brinchang, we had easy access to both the towns by taxi / cab. Also, being away from the main town helped in ensuring that we had a quiet night without all the hustle-bustle associated with towns. The breakfast spread was average - ticked off the essential boxes in terms of the items provided, without being very elaborate. All in all, a decent stay for the price.
