Charming hotel with thoughtful staff ”
We stayed at VH Albert Court to celebrate a special occasion. We requested for a quiet room with a nice view. They gave us more. We chose the hotel for its architectural charm. But the staff hospitality made us appreciate the hotel more. The lady at the reception was cheerful and pleasant and even accompanied us to the next wing to show us the way. When we entered our room, it was already cooled and waiting for us, with a nice little welcome surprise from Mr. Syed Ali and his team. (Thank you. We appreciate your thoughtfulness!) The doorman always had a ready greeting. Check in and check out were a breeze. The hotel exterior is very charming. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of a small garden. There are a lot of food choices practically at your doorstep. A little stroll brings you to Little India and Bugis. A short ride on the MRT brings you to Orchard Road. VH Albert Court is a great place for a quiet stay right in the middle of action in Singapore.

Fantastic location great renovation Singapore icon”
The Albert Court is a lovely throwback to an older Singapore, before the skyscrapers and subways - a row of shophouses beautifully restored which wraps a cobbled driveway and clock tower. Beautifully placed at the corner of Selegie Road and the Rochor Canal on Sungei Street, it faces Little aindia on Serangoon abroad while aligning with a series of malls and courts that flow through to Bugis and Raffles. For anyone who walks it's the best choice in Singapore. Renovation has taken every comfort into account - elevators for single floor rises, great buffet breakfast, security lifts and doors, safes, complimentary espresso machines in lobby, a half dozen good restaurants downstairs at street level. Truly an improved and highly recommended choice for a great Singapore stay.

Fantastic Location”
We loved our time at the Village Hotel Albert Court. Everything was so close. An enormous supermarket just across Rocher Road. Fabulous cheap eats just a 5 minute walk away in Bugis. Little india was also just a 5 minute walk away. And Orchard was just 5 minutes in the other direction. A perfect location to be based to explore Singapore. We wanted for nothing.

Albert Court Worth Conditional Consideration”
Overall, the Albert Court is worth considering for your business or holiday stay in Singapore. The convenience to 3 MRT stations is a big plus and the staff was extremely helpful when ever issues arose. However, it is clearly not a 4 star hotel (3 1/2 at best). The buildings were well done when converted to a hotel and it is a pleasant environment. No pool, but great to go to the Jacuzzi in the interior court yard of the main building after a day of site seeing in the hot weather. If you like Indian food and products, the closeness to Little India is a huge plus. Although the furnishings and amenities were not equal to what I had experienced in other 4 star hotels throughout Asia, the fact that it was among the lowest priced 4 star hotels in the Agoda listings has to be considered. Due to problems, we were upgraded twice. The final room, in the 2nd building across the small commercial plaza was at the high end of the hotel’s room rates, but was the one that had the kinds of amenities and furnishings that I've experienced as basic to 4 star hotels elsewhere. The previous rooms had no robes, no slippers (not even disposable paper ones), limited drawer space for clothes, limited bath amenities, etc. All in all the Albert Court is a convenient, clean, comfortable hotel with responsive staff and a fair price at the low end of the 4 star range. It is worth considering unless you cannot do without customary 4 star amenities. In that case, you should either book one of the top rate rooms or look at another hotel. One caution - If you are assigned an inside, court yard view room in the main building wing next to the restaurant, you should ask for a change. Our first upgrade was to room 227 in that wing. The courtyard has several fountains and the courtyard walls hold in the sound and channel it to the interior rooms. While the sound of the fountains is pleasant enough (a bit like rain on the roof), the exhaust louvers for the equipment-motor room of the hotel also open o

Great Location”
Though the Hotel is a bit old, the room was extremely comfortable. Most hotels in this price range around Singapore CBD have cramped bathrooms and basin sink is next to the bed. This was not the case at Albet Court by Far East, the bathrooms were relatively spacious and the basin sink was inside the bathroom. Location is great with lots of malls and restaurants within walking distance.

Great hotel and great location”
We very much enjoyed our stay at Albert Court Village Hotel and will stay there again when in Singapore. The location was ideal and turned out to be pretty central to many of the attractions we were interested in. The staff were helpful and the character of the hotel precinct was appealing. Our deluxe room was a good size and the queen bed comfortable. The bathroom was due for an upgrade (new grout in tiles) and the carpet needed cleaning/replacing,otherwise a good hotel in a great location.

Great Hotel!”
Albert Court Hotel met and exceeded all expectations. Arriving tired from our long haul trip with a small child we were greeted cheerfully by the reception staff and the porter helped us promptly with our plentifull luggage. After check in we were escorted to our room by the receptionist. Throughout our stay we were met with nothing but courteous staff who were making our resting period very enjoyable with their helpfullness. This hotel is simply great and on our next trip to Singapore we will stay here again!

Village Hotel by name and nature”
We had a lovely stay enjoying a small but comfortable room. The hotel setting looks unpromising as you approach but is actually very pleasant when you arrive and Albert Court has a village feel about it immediately outside the hotel. Bustling Bugis is on the doorstep and the MRT nearby..........we will look to this hotel next time we visit Singapore.

Lovely Hotel. Great Location”
Loved my stay here. Very helpful hotel personnel at frontdesk. Kudos to all at Albert Court Village Hotel. Keep up the good service and lovely facilities. But, would be awesome if internet's free. Normal rate of S$26 kind of expensive for a day access. Was offered promo price for a day access. Nevertheless, overall, I'm fully satisfied. Highly recommended for those with kids in tow and those who drive.

Beautiful hotel with character ”
We stayed at The Albert Court for two nights but would have liked to stay longer. The room was comfortable and nicely sized. The buildings and furnishings are older in keeping with the somewhat historic nature of the hotel (some of the buildings are converted shophouses). Very well maintained, as comfortable as any newer hotel. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, from the desk clerk to the cleaning staff, everyone we met was friendly, professional and helpful. We will try to stay here again on our next trip to Singapore

Overlooked before but a bit of a gem”
Booked into this place late as had big problems with my pre-arranged accommodation. Despite high prices for hotels in Singapore that week, was able to get a very good deal, including free wifi for well under $200. Hotel is old converted shophouses surrounding a pretty courtyard with bars and restaurants. Very pleasant and easy going. Upgraded to Club for a small fee and stay included breakfast (good) and evening cocktails and snacks (strange as these are in 2 different locations) and a much bigger room. Staff are great here, very friendly - Josephine in Club lounge deserves a special mention. Credit to Far East Group here, cos I can't always say same thing about their hotels! Only downside was quality of cleaning sometimes which was a bit slapdash, and noise in courtyard outside until very late. Unfortunate experience of a large cockroach in my room at 3:00am on first night but I was immediately moved. An offer of compensation would have been nice but did not push for this as overall I really enjoyed the stay.

Good location and nice style”
this was our second stay at the albert court this year. the price was a bit higher than in january, but they upgraded us to a “club” room, in the building across the courtyard. the room was bigger and the building had a private lounge area. do not, however, book a club room for the breakfast. it is served in the lounge, but is more limited in its selection than in the main building. we like the albert courts because of its location close to bugis village, the metro (mrt) and shopping even though the price is a bit high. we also really like the renovated "shophouse" look of the hotel with its colonial style out front (but not inside). the whole area just feels more private than the main building. the room did have free wifi and a tub with a proper shower. staff were great, both at the front desk, the main door and in the restaurant. the buffet breakfast was good with fresh fruit, cereal, chinese offerings, and an option for freshly made omelets. but it wasn't the best: the fruit selection was limited, the "yoghurt" turned out to be some kind of pudding, and the hash brown potatoes were the reconstituted kind. i also do not like seeing omelets made from an egg mixture sitting in a bowl for who knows how long. much better to order fried eggs that come from a freshly cracked egg. but this is a common practice at a lot of buffet breakfasts. the breakfast room is also very small for the number of rooms in the hotel and can be quite crowded. the club room is a good option if they give you a free upgrade. otherwise, watch for sales online.

Delightful stay at Albert Court”
we had a room across the driveway from the main bldg and it was very quiet, well appointed and comfortable. also there is an espresso/mocha machine in the common area of that bldg, which was a yummy way to start the day. there was also a big bowl of apples. be sure to book the room to include the breakfast as it is quite expensive otherwise. they had the best indian type bean daal along with western food and more asian choices in the buffet. efficient check in and very accomodating front desk staff. the staff at breakfast was also very nice. many of them are from nepal and having lived there, it was nice to hear a namaste in the morning. be sure to bring your plug adapters if you are from the states and need to recharge things. it is a little tricky because the sockets are on switches and in order to plug something in you would have to leave a light on and that doesn't always work when you are ready to go to bed! you will enjoy singapore if you stay at the albert court!

Memorable Stay at Albert Court”
I liked Albert Court Hotel because the entrance lobby and the facade of the hotel was great looking. When we booked for our 2 night vacation, we were so pleased with our spacious room and the bathroom was clean and spacious too. The bed was comfortable and I had a dresser as well. Our room had 2 big windows overlooking the courtyard and mall. It was also a short distance walk to Sim Lim Square and to Little India MRT Station. We will book here again when we are in Singapore.

Satisfied customer”
My first experience with Village Hotel Albert Court was satisfying. I spent the night in the club family room. The staff was helpful, room always tidied up, breakfast menu was varied, Asian and Western menu. Location was good, near bus stop, Rochor MRT station, and convenience store was easily found. Very recommended.

Beautiful Hotel and Hospitable Staff”
We enjoyed our stay at Albert Court Hotel during our Christmas Vacation. It gives us relaxation after retiring from a full day of adventure in the city. We would like to commend and thank Philip for giving us a complimentary room upgrade to Family Room in order for us to be comfortable during our stay. It is a family-friendly hotel and very safe to stay. And oh, thanks too to the housekeeping girls who always clean our room and make it smell good and refreshing. The location is accessible and taxicabs are always available. We were able to hear mass at St Joseph Church and Church of Our Lady of Lourdes which are walking distance to the hotel. I'd love to stay again in this hotel.

The Albert Court Village Hotel is a comfortable and friendly hotel in a great location, convenient to trains, buses and good shopping and tourist spots like Bugis and Little India. It has a tour guide on the premises and when booking outings the bus picks you up from the hotel. I have stayed in this hotel many times and always find the staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Albert Court Village Hotel”
I stayed only one night at the Albert Court Village Hotel after I left the Furama City Center Hotel. I clearly prefer the Albert Court Village Hotel since it is very cozy with its shop house styled buildings and the very nice courtyard. The staff is very nice and courteous. I will certainly stay there again also since it is very well situated.
