great location and great room”

fairmont is one of my favourite hotel when visiting singapore. the room i get this time was great with modern deco and a great view to see esplanade and a 2/3 of marina bay sand. the hotel is right on top of city hall mrt which connects the green and red mrt line and also within convenient walking distance to get to esplanade station which connects the circle line. also a shopping center right at the doorstep with supermarket, food court, restaurants and shops handy. underpass to walk to nearby marina square and suntec city (under major renovation during visit). it is great in a sense that you can still move around without an umbrella during the rainy seasons where it almost rain everyday. price is towards the high side however did get a good deal on agoda. staff is friendly and very helpful. the hotel has turn down service in the evening and the one little thing that always impresses me is they will top the ice bucket in the room every evening. with hot and humid weather in singapore, upon return to the room after a long day and able to enjoy an ice cold drink with ice cubes handy is a little touch that goes a long way. for late departure, they offer free usage of their spa shower area for refreshments after checkout.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location”

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at the Fairmont at the beginning of February. Our deluxe harbour view room was perfect from the huge comfy bed and large luxurious bathroom to the view of the city and marina at night. The room itself was very large by most standards and with a nice balcony to admire the cities skyline from. The facilities at the hotel were also excellent with by far the best equipped gym i have seen at a hotel to date. The two pools both seemed nice although we didnt use these. Location wise i dont think you can get much better. The hotel has a nice mall and foodcourt attached to it and this can be acccessed internally through the hotel. At the entrance to the mall is the city hall MRT from where you can access virtually all of the city. Around a 10 minute walk will get you to the singapore flyer and marina bay areas, and a 10 minute walk in the other direction will get you to Clark quay and boat quay areas. For a singapore sling, Raffles is just across the road! Very little to fault with this hotel but as with most hotels in singapore there is no complimentary wifi in the rooms. This seems a little ridiculous when you spend so much money on a room in a highly rated hotel. In Thailand wifi was complimentary virtually everywhere from budget to luxury accomodation. No breakfast included either which would have been nice. However, these are only really minor points and certainly did not detract from an otherwise excellent stay. Highly recommended!!

A well-run hotel, helpful staff, great location”

the fairmont is a good, high quality hotel with well-trained and helpful staff who really try to make your stay enjoyable. the rooms are a good size and the bathroom is roomy and all the usual amenities are there for your use. the beds are super-comfortable. the hotel is well located for easy travel around singapore on the smrt (the underground system) from city hall station that is part of the adjoining mall (even travel on the mrt to changi airport is easy on the mrt and costs only 2 singapore dollars!). there's also some good shopping and a variety of eating options in the mall if you would rather not pay hotel restaurant prices. the swissotel stamford is also accessible along a short walkway and there's a fantastic view from their 70th floor bar/lounge. raffles, with its famous long bar, is just across the street. the only negative i can think of is that there is a little bit of an odour from the bathroom plumbing but it's not anything overpowering all in all, it's a good place to stay in singapore.

1 night stay at Fairmont Singapore”

I had to find a hotel room for an urgent overnight stay in the city and chose Fairmont Singapore from a booking website. The check in was painless - a testament to the seamless integration between Agoda and the hotel. Maybe it helped that I am a Singapore citizen with an NRIC and had already paid for the room, but it was pleasant to be able to reach my room in mere minutes from the time I presented my check in details. Perhaps I am spoilt and was not blown away by the room since I am used to 5 star hotels in Singapore. Be that as it May, I appreciated the size of the room which was bigger than I expected and certainly much larger than a solo traveller like i needed. The toiletries were thoughtfully equipped althougj i expected no less so I didn't bring a toothbrush or my own soap. Despite working in the area and having visited the hotel countless times for conferences I was not aware of the wide slection of restaurants. Everyone knows Prego [out of space for this review]

Excellent Location and Most Comfortable Bed”

The comfortable bed and pillows in this hotel were undeniably the best ever experienced. We've travelled extensively and after a heavy day of sightseeing, it was just so comforting to have a good nights sleep. I'm still raving about the comfort. We travelled to the Fairmont very easily by train (with a change) from the airport. Even easier to get around by public transport with numerous train or bus options to all the top sightseeing options from just 2 or 3 minutes from the hotel door. Raffles is just across the street too. As the hotel is part of a shopping centre it was convenient to buy most anything you require from retail shopping to groceries, pharmaceuticals or fast food (if required). Hotel check in/check out staff were friendly but efficient and other staff were always helpful with advice and directions. Food and drinks were comparable with most 5 star establishments. I'd definitely recommend friends and family stay at the Fairmont Singapore and would return here again, if ever in Singapore. Staying here has piqued my interest in staying at other Fairmont establishments around the world. Signage and ease of public transport with the swipe on/swipe off cards has to make Singapore one of the easiest places in the world to get around.

Amazing hospitality, Amazing location, fantastic room”

Stayed at Fairmont for 3 nights travelling with our 2 year old toddler for the first time. Was worried how she would do, but Fairmont provided a great location, fantastic hospitality, and a nice room and stay which made the trip super convenient, comfortable and easy for us. We stayed in an executive suite and the extra space was worth it as we had a place to put the cot (that they provided for no charge) so little bubba could sleep without us bothering her, also extra room for her to run around. They gave us a late checkout as well and were super understanding. The room is well apportioned and a good size, the king bed was nice, there are balconies you can step out onto, electronically controlled curtains, if i were to nitpick I would say the bathroom is more functional than luxurious, but its in its own room in a corridor away from the lounge/bedroom which i much prefer when travelling with a toddler. The executive suite came with free wifi, and also complimentary drinks and canapes every evening from 5:30-7:30pm. We took advantage of this and found it very pleasant and relaxing with good views. They served red and white wines from spain and australia, and moet for bubbles. The location was so convenient with a little toddler, as Fairmont has a shopping centre attached with supermarket, lots of food options, the usual big name clothing stores etc, and also the MRT right under the hotel. We moved to the W hotel for a few nights after, but in hindsight i would have happily stayed at the Fairmont the whole time. Of course the W is more like a high end resort, whereas the Fairmont is more of a central city hotel, so quite different, but i preferred the Fairmont. All in all a great stay, great holiday, and we look forward to going back in the near future Terry

best hotel by far (in my opinion that is)”

this is actually my 2nd time staying at fairmont. my family and i decided to stay at fairmont again because of it's location and it's excellent service. they never seem to let us down. even a standard fairmont room is amazing - they have about 6/7 different types of pillows you can choose from (they're all comfy, my fave is the tai tai pillow!) + huge comfortable bed! the only downside would be the bathroom (well at least for the room i got), it was not well maintained. we got an upgrade for the other room which was a deluxe room. it's almost like an executive club room (previously we stayed at the executive club). the only major difference (talking about the room only) is that the bathroom is slighty smaller in size. so if you want to indulge in a bit of luxury but not spend much, opt for a deluxe room rather than a std room. their staffs are extremely efficient, competent, polite and fluent in english. prior to fairmont, we stayed at mbs, in my own opinion, there's really nothing to shout about that hotel but i shall not go into detail about it in this review. bottom line is, all of us enjoyed fairmont more than the other hotel. we will definitely be staying at fairmont again on our next visit. hopefully fairmont would maintain it's excellent service + rooms. cheers to the team that was working during the period we stayed. p/s: it would be great if the hotel offered free wifi in all rooms too.

Return visit to one of Singapore's best hotels”

I have stayed at this property numerous times and choose to do so whenever the price is competitive. The Fairmont was previously branded as Raffles The Plaza (part of the same hotel group) and has neither lost nor gained a great deal in the re-branding. The hotel is now undergoing a renovation that has closed off areas of the lobby but it did not intrude into our stay. I received an upgrade at check in that gave us a huge room with separate sitting areas and work areas. A corner room, it had two balconies. An advantage of the Fairmont is that it has a Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules in the room instead of the usual instant coffee packages. That saved me having to venture down to the Starbucks. The hotel is part of the Raffles City complex that houses another hotel (Swissotel the Stamford) shopping and dozens of great eating options within the mall. It is on top of the CIty Hall MRT station with direct lines to Changi Airport or Orchard Road. Easy reach to Little India, Chinatown and Sentosa. The Fairmont is not the newest hotel in Singapore, nor the cheapest but it is consistently good value. Highly recommended.

A Wonderful First Time Stay”

After much deliberation (I was deciding whether to stay at the Fairmont or Pan Pacific), I decided to book a deluxe room (in the South Tower) at the Fairmont for Good Friday night. In my reservation I asked for early check in and to be placed on a high floor. When I arrived (at 10am) to check in, I was greeted by a lovely member of staff and there was no issue with checking in at that time and I was given a room on the 8th floor with a harbour view! The room was was rather large (for Singapore standard)and the doors opened out onto a great balcony, which was lovely at night. Just about everything in the room was controlled by the panel beside the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!! The bathroom was fantastic, with separate bath and a wonderful rain shower. After I had returned from dinner that night (at the iconic Raffles Hotel, which is just across the road) my bed covers were turned down and there was beautiful, soft music playing-what a beautiful thought by the staff! As previous reviewers have mentioned, the Fairmont is located next to the MRT station and is part of Raffles City shopping centre, where you will find everything that you will ever need. Everything at the Fairmont was great and will definitely return.

Great location”

this was our third time to stay in fairmont singapore and we enjoyed our stay as usual. the receptionist gave us a free upgrade from the fairmont room to the deluxe room, but service was not as friendly throughout our stay. we had breakfast in alligator pear one day and also felt that the food there wasn't worth the price. to boot, the service was horrible compared to the staff at prego. everything else was fine though. we would gladly book in fairmont sg again, just not in alligator pear.

Fantastic hotel with great service and location!”

First time to Singapore and needless to say price for accommodation will be on the high side, however I found Fairmount to be well worth the money, great room, bathroom, (they even kept on topping up the Icebox each day for us!) and the amazing thing is they seem to be tidying rooms around the clock! (whether from morning till 6pm) so yes, the Hotel was fantastic, right in the center and a few min walk to City Hall MRT, and close to the major attractions like Marina Sands and so forth. lastly as I was leaving I also found out it is a free service at Fairmont to print out your Itinerary flight details. so would highly recommend this place and won’t hesitate to come back.:)

Great location, excellent service”

We chose the Fairmont in Singapore purely for a convenient location. Having previously lived in Singapore, we have specific activities we usually conduct while passing through, and this hotel makes it easy to chess why we need to do. The staff are extremely helpful and always have a smile. This hotel is normally very busy, as it is a transit hub for many airline staff. Hotel is conveniently located next to raffles city, and above city hall mrt. Adjacent to raffles hotel for a Singapore sling. A short mrt or taxi ride to orchard rd, or activities in the mania bay area. Easy with kids to be Above a supermarket, and eating areas.

Singapore's landmark hotel with great visibility”

My wife and I enjoyed stay in Fairmont for our annual overseas trip this time. The hotel is a landmark building in Singapore. Our room in the South Tower has a private balcony where we can see the newly built casino and Merlion. Fairmont is just within 1 min walk to the MRT (City Hall Station). The customer can use free wifi in the hotel lobby. The only disadvantage is that take 1-2 stop for the MRT to enjoy the traditional Singapore breakfast and snacks in Chinatown or Lau Pa Sat.

Lovely hotel with excellent service”

I stayed for 1 night in Fairmont Singapore and took the deluxe room on the #21 floor. View was beautiful at night as it overlooked the Singapore Flyer and there was fireworks that night I was there so it was really beautiful. Our staycation was due to my daughter's 1 year old birthday event happening at Asian Market Cafe so we took a room as well. The hotel staff was very friendly and even gave my daughter the exclusive Fairmont doll along with balloons. Overall, they were very helpful, friendly and excellent service provided. Room was comfortable and clean even though parking was quite costly. Loved the pool as well! The hotel is very centrally connected to trains and buses so should not be a problem for those taking the public transport.

I stayed in Fairmont Singapore from 3 Jan to 5 Jan. I absolutely love the hotel. The staff were very professional, helpful and polite. I also love how big the room is. They have 2 wings north and south and we stayed in south wing. My room was facing marina bay sands and the ocean, so It has great view. The hotel also has direct access to Raffles City malls and connected to City hall MRT, so we didn't need to get out to street level to reach those. I definitely will stay there again.

My stay this time was short, but I had all the comfort of home. I love staying at the Fairmont, but I also visit The Swissotel-Samford. It depends on the price at the time. I enjoy the City Hall area, everything is conveniently located. (shopping,food,nightlife, etc.) I'm currently planning another trip to Singapore in March, this one for pleasure. I hope to be able to afford the Fairmont on this trip also.

Very nice hotel and convenient”

We stayed at the fairmont over the christmas holiday period. It was a very nice hotel. Very convenient as it's located above the city hall MRT so its easy to get around anywhere in singapore. Also is attached to the Raffles city shopping centre. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the nespresso machine provided was a nice touch. The hotel's gym and pool are shared with its sister hotel the swissotel the stamford which unfortunately at times the pool and gym were very busy. Was especially hard to find seating around the gym. Also as it was very busy over this christmas period the foyer area was always busy with people; however checkin didnt take too long. Overall a very nice hotel to stay at and and excellent location.

i have stayed there before and this is already my second time staying there. i'm still choosing fairmont singapore because it's conveniently located, priced reasonable and people are friendly there. there is also a free shuttle stop closeby which can take you to the universal studio. the mtr city hall station is also an asset to the hotel.

The Fairmont is a nice cosy little happy hotel located right above the City Hall train station in Singapore. It is clean, efficient and so very well located where going anywhere in Singapore,you just need to take a lift to the ground floor and walk like 2 minutes within the hotel compound to get to the train station. Within the hotel compound are shops and shops and also food outlts both restaurants and hawker like stalls and snack counters. I would stay there again, any time..
