Simply Great!”

We stayed in both Fragrance Balestier and Fragrance Rose during our stay in Singapore.(Availability and Agoda Discounts made us shift from one location to the other twice) And we enjoyed staying in both... However Hotel Fragrance Balestier has more comfortable and spacious rooms than Rose. The customer service received in both venues are exceptional and highly respected. Specially Aunty Jessica and Manager Micheal was very thoughtful, friendly and supportive throghout.... Selecting the best suited rooms for us ( as we had few big size luggages, they were kindenough to upgrade the rooms to superior loft and deluxe twin when ever possible) GRAB taxi bookings done by Micheal were affordable. From room boy to manager everyone in the hotel were helpful. Hawker centre, close by offers veriety of chineese food at an affordable rate. Bus stop close by is the easier and faster way to travel than the MRT. Clean Bed linen and Comforting rooms makes Fragrance chain standout from the rest!

Great place in a good location”

My review is also based on the price i payed for it. So it was really the good. The room is small but what you need is there. The toilet is small which is okay its just weird to have the shower almost directly above the toilet but I totally understand the logic. My only complain is that I dont think they washed my mug everytime they refresh the room. Location wise, it is a bit far from the touristy places but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. Plus they give you instructions and a good rate for the attraction in Singapore. Also just a couple of blocks away is the Whampoa market which has most of Singapore local food available so that is good plus. There is also a supermarket nearby. Overall, great place. I would definitely book again

Excellent front office service”

This is the first time I have stayed at a Fragrance hotel and I am glad I picked Rose. The room is very small but clean and looks new. Location is good with convenience stores, pubs and a hawker centre within a stone throw. What really impressed me about this hotel, however, was the excellent service attitude of the front office staff, especially Miss Camille, who was always very friendly, warm & helpful throughout my stay. Ms Norlela & another lady receptionist, whom I didn't get the name, were also pleasant. Many of the business class hotels I have stayed in Singapore have much to learn about service culture from these staff! Ultimately, it's the service attitude of the staff that defines hospitality & I will certainly stay in Fragrance Rose again. Thank you, Ms Camille, for dispelling my apprehension of staying in a budget hotel!

Everything was great!”

I was worried if the hotel reach my expectations. And they did! My room was enough for a couple to stay. They clean the room everyday and refill bottle waters with towels. I don't really have anything to complain to be honest. If I ever come back to SG I'd choose this hotel again. Make sure not to stay on the ground floor because it might be noisy.

Good and clean hotel, professional hotel staff.”

Clean and good hotel, a bit off from the center of Singapore. Bus station and MRT interchange are nearby, therefore center of Singapore and sightseeing areas can be easily reached. Hotel staff is excellent. Cleanliness is very good. Hotel room itself was a bit small 8don't know if bigger rooms exist in this hotel), but still sufficient for a single traveller. WIth 2 persons in room, the room could be a bit too small for permanent stay and use during day time ; however, room is perfect if only used for sleeping and resting. Thank you. Will come again.

Disappointed but MIGHT come back”

We booked one night and further extend with agoda for another night. Check in was smooth and fuss free. Room was small but clean. Toilet was SUPER small with no bidet nor shower head with hose so as to ease cleaning up after using the toilet. The shower head was just stuck to the toilet wall. Heater was not very hot but we had no complains there. Upon check out, front desk called us at 12 noon and said "reminder that chck out is at 12 noon". I asked what was the latest chck out time as my son just got up and we were busy here and there. They said 1. And i said, we'll chck out at 1. Any later, we will let you know. We were willing to pay per hour extension so that my son could have a good shower. At 1, we called to ask for an hour extension. We were suddenly told that an hour extension is $50. We are regular guests at fragrance and we were shock! Their reason for the ridiculous hike in extension is because we booked through agoda. I couldnt accept the pricing. Told them i will be down asap. We came down and were told their system is auto generated after 5 min and demanded we pay the $50. We were not issued any receipts and i stomped out angry. I would have accepted it if we were told at any time during our stay that extension after an agoda booking is $50. I would also maybe be quite comforted if the staff apologized and seemed sympathetic that the amount is ridiculous, but the way the staff talked to us was rude with no customer service. This is the first bad experience i had with the fragrance chain of hotels and therefore WHY i might return, but maybe not to Rose. A very sad thing as we quite liked the room.

Exceptional”

It's a cozy hotel located at the heart of Singapore. The location is a bit of a distance away from the prime tourist spots at the Downtown and Sentosa but it is very accessible via bus. The rooms are well maintained and clean and it's a value for money when you're looking for a budget hotel. Highly recommended.

The room was quite small, but very well priced for a private room in Singapore. The room was exceptionally clean and had a pleasant smell. Rooms were quiet throughout the night. And the staff was very helpful. They helped us find our way around the bus system and made us feel very welcome. Looking forward to our next stay.

Good hotel for budget traveler”

At first i go to wrong hotel, the another fragrance, but they help me even accompany me to the feagrance rose hotel. on fragrance rose, staff was very helpful. the room is good enough just for sleep and take a bath.

Exceptional”

Angelina, the hotel’s receptionist, gave us a bus guide to get around Singapore. It was a big help! She also recommended we get an SG Tourist Pass that helped us save a lot on daily commutes.

Far from MRT”

Cheap budget hotel and clean. Staffs are friendly. Hotel far from MRT station. Nearest MRT station is the NOVENA station, with walking distance around 20 minutes. But there are bus stop just few steps from the hotel.

Good value hotel”

We stayed here for one night while in transit. Arrived at around 1.00am so we were very grateful for a quick, easy check in. For the price we paid, this was a great deal as we just wanted somewhere to sleep. It was nice to have a midday check out because even though we woke early, it felt good not to be rushed. I would definitely consider staying here again when looking for somewhere for one night.

They clean the room every day, and gave us complementary coffee, creamer, tea & watee everyday. Quiet neighborhood, beside stores u can buy food. Near 2 bus stops. My daughter likes the place, near Novena Mall and the Church. I really like the location. Will come back again 😊😊😊

This place is perfect if you are a budget traveler. Hotel is accessible via the Novena MRT station.

Good value for your buck”

Room is a but tiny since me and my sister are on the plus size but its got good pillows, hot water, firm bed and cold a/c. Staff was exceptional. Also very near a yummy hawker center, convenience store and bus stops. For the cons there is just two things: first is the very dusty curtain just touching it sends a cloud of dust flying -.- and second the unwashed comforter. Ours had a weird stain on the underside of it (wasn’t sure if it was blood or liquid foundation) but it wasn’t changed when we asked for a room “makeup” no big deal since comforters arent really changed after every guest we get it. Just had to wear long sleeved pajamas to avoid being itchy. Everything else was really good for the price point :)

Still OK”

The first thing im unsatisfied with this time stay is the charging of money if i wanted a window room. Yes, i booked superior room through agoda, but who knows there is no window as it is not even stated as a room title when i book. I think u shall improve on this by differentiating room with window/ no window if u are to charge your guests for upgrading to a window room. Some guests would love a window room and would just be glad if there are many rooms available and they can get a free upgrade of it. Hope u value excellent service more than just earning money. By the way, i am a return guest of your hotel too. I have stayed at fragrance - rose for 5-nights last few months! But i did not even get a little free upgrade just requesting for a window room this time round. Kinda disappointed. Will seriously reconsider to stay fragrance again for my next visit to singapore

I think I like Fragrance Hotel group because I always visited to Singapore alone and always stayed in Fragrance but this time everthing is good except the sounds of outside. I got the room on a first floor and I heard the sounds of waterspout almost the time even late night and it was very loud. It made me annoyed. Just that thing is not good but another thing is good for me because no matter what I still choose Fragrance Hotel Group.
