We went to Singapore to celebrate our first year anniversary. We chose the Hotel 81 Bugis because I been there two years ago and my experience was great. The hotel is clean and very convenient. It is just nearby the MRT station and landmarks are just near. You can just walk going to Esplanade, Merlion, SG Flyer, Marina Square, Bugis Junction etc. 7-11 is just beside the hotel. The hotel is clean and the stuffs are nice. I think we will check in here again the next time we visit Singapore. It is a budget-friendly as well :)

Singapore F1 @ Hotel 81 Bugis”

I was in Singapore for the Singapore F1. Hotel 81 Bugis provided the perfect place to stay knowing that the Hotel 81 chain is ISO certified helped make the decision for me. The check-in staff were polite and friendly and provided the rapport ice breaker asking about the F1. The room was clean and the bed comfy. I stayed for multiple nights and the room was always made up as required and staff always polite. The check in has staff 24/7 and it is easy to get a Taxi outside. The location is also very close to the Singapore F1 street track, walking distance in this case. Plus being close to a lot of places to eat cheaply in Singapore.

Budge Hotel Close to Everything”

I booked a room with a bathroom and view of a park, which is exactly what I got with Hotel 81 Bugis. A bonus was the mature trees outside the window, giving the room an even more pleasant outlook. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for, and got, a free iron and ironing board, late checkout and minding of my luggage. One disappointment was that there was no separate shower cubicle: the shower sprayed out onto the bathroom floor. However, there was a huge (frosted) sunny window on the bathroom and the floor seemed to be heated, it dried quickly. If you need access to central Singapore for a conference (as I did), but on a budget, then Hotel 81 Bugis is ideal.

Exceptional”

I appreciate that the hotel has baggage storage. So even if you have not yet checked in, it is convenient to go around singapore without worry on where to place your baggage or carry your baggage ...just make arrangement with the hotel. We were also able to visit malaysia and just leave the bulk of our 8-day trip baggage at the hotel 81 bugis. Thanks Hotel Bugis 81 for making things easy and convenient for us. Thanks also for providing us with bottled water...we saved some dollars for that. God bless

staying with hotel 81 bugis was very relaxing even though my friends told me that it was a bit noisy at night, we were very comfortable staying with the hotel it was a wonderful experience, the bathroom was kinda small but it was OK the staff were accomodating and fun,you wont get hungry coz there's 711 accross the street and fast foods along the area, very near the MRT bugis station and in the city and in the airport Me and my husband will deffinetly stay there again, we are looking forward to back to hotel 81 bugis soon

Hotel 81 Bugis, is exactly right for travellers! The hotel is very near in every place you wanted to visit in Singapore, others can reach by walking. MRT is not a problem, you're near in many stations and that really counts, there's bus station and taxi station just outside the hotel. The hotel is along the road so it can easily be found by taxi. The room is not that big enough, but it's clean and safe. If i'll be back in Singapore I will surely stay again in Hotel 81 Bugis!

Lovely Hotel with extremely friendly service”

A budget hotel. Small room but very clean and extremely friendly service.Booked on line but found out that it is the wrong 81. Went and talked to the receptionist. She quickly telephoned the manager of the other Hotel 81 and to our surprise, she told us that there is still room in the other 81 and that we can stay in the other Hotel 81 without any surcharge. When we move to the other Hotel 81, we weree even upgraded to abetter room without any additional payment. Really rare experience.

A Happy and Comfy One Night Stay”

I stayed in a Deluxe room with a view across the Middle Rd. Was a indeed pleasant stay. Clean room and restroom with ample circulation space. Comfy bed and pillow. Pleasant view of the street and beyond. Just next to 7-11 convenient store. Great location. Within short walking distance (5 to 7 minutes) to Bugis Street Bazaar, McDonald's, Bugis Junction, Bugis+ and Bugis MRT station. There's coffee-making facilities in the room. Ironing facilities available upon request. Dresser table has big mirror. Good number of spots provided to hang clothing articles and accessories. Window bench provided practical spot to place and access luggage. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff, made the stay even more pleasant. Value for money. Really worth every penny spent. Looking forward to be back soon! :-)

Great Hotel”

The staff of Bugis Hotel are friendly and accommodating. The hotel room is just right for a business traveler like me. It is very near the MRT station and walking distance to Bugis shopping area. The hotel rate is very affordable and has good value for money. I had a very comfortable stay in this hotel and would definitely stay again here when I go back to Singapore.

Room is smaller than an average hospital room”

We booked for a 4-night stay. We arrived in Singapore a little after 12mn on May 23, went to Hotel 81 in Bugis, which the cab driver located easily. Check in was a breeze. We were inside our room in less than 10mins. Hotel lobby is small, as well as the hallway. I know that our assigned room has no windows when I booked it online. What I didn’t expect is that the room size is smaller than an average hospital room. Needless to say the bathroom is proportionately small. The pillows on our first night have a slight moldy smell. But when we had the room cleaned up the next day, when pillowcases were changed, pillows smelled clean. Sheets are also clean. There is a flat TV screen but no ref nor safety deposit box. There are complimentary bottled water daily. I was able to use the phone inside the hotel room to make a call to a friend in Singapore free of charge. Front Desk said they charge SG$1/day for phone calls within Singapore. But I was never charged for it. The hotel is next to Bugis Junction and Singapore National Library. There is a 7-11 store right next to the hotel. If you are travelling alone or you basically just want a comfortable bed on your back after a day’s sightseeing and shopping, I would recommend Hotel 81 in Bugis. Otherwise, if travelling to Singapore includes 5-star amenities in your description, you would want to book somewhere else (read: more expensive).

Very convenient and close to everything”

I wasn't expecting too much when I booked a room for me and my mom as I was only after the location of the hotel since I read from the other reviews that it's practically just a stroll away from most of the places we were planning to visit. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised since the room is bigger compared to the usual 3 star hotels around the Bugis area. Although customer service of the staff is average which is normal in Singapore, I did enjoy the convenience plus I also love the view from our room. Despite the fact that we were just at the 3rd floor, we didn't hear any noise coming from the road. It was also great that we had so many options when it comes to food and places to go to. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Worth it”

The hotel is kind to give us an upgrade because we have small kids with us. Hotel staff were accomodating and polite. 7 11 is just beside the hotel. Very strategic location. A few blocks away, about 5 min walk, is bugis junction and train station. Housekeeping is everyday. Just one con though there's a problem with the drainage system because the toilet is a smelly, at least in our room. Overall, I recommend Hotel 81 Bugis.

One of the best budget hotel i've stayed in Singapore Best location It is very near in train station (bugis junction) near money exchange centers ( 3 - Bugis street, infront of bugis street, and in front of the street of the hotel) Near bugis street ( good place to buy souvenirs ) 7/11 beside the hotel lots of malls if you like to walk, you can walk to different tourist spots It's like the center for the tourist attractions in Singapore

We booked 2 rooms, 1 superior (511) and 1 deluxe (502) on floor 5th Superior is a bit small. But have big window, you can see some buildings but being hide a way by the building next to Hotel 81. Deluxe is bigger and come with refrigerator. Big window and you can see streets and buildings around. Good service, clean but small restroom. Deluxe is a bit bigger than that of superior but still small. Good location: 7-15minutes walk to MRT in bugis and Bugis Market, 2-4 minutes walk to bus station (can go to Fullerton).

I have got a very good stay here in Hotel 81 Bugis. My colleagues were also felt comfortable, especially with the proximality of shopping and eating areas. With the status of very high price of hotels in Singapore, Hotel 81 Bugis is a good choice for medium travelers. I will suggest my friends and colleagues to book this hotel when they come to Singapore and myself i will choose it if I have chance to go there again.

Great location”

Hotel 81 Bugis is located between Bugis and City Hall MRT station. It is convenient to walk to the City Hall MRT station to travel North South line towards Orchard for shopping and from if walk towards Bugis MRT to take the East West Line for more shopping experience at Bugis Junction, Tampines Mall, Century Square, Tampines 1, White Sand at Pasir Ris and even transfer at Tanah Merah Station to Changi Airport.

Everytime i go to singapore i book this hotel because of it's location. its really small compare to other hotels in singapore, but if your main purpose id to travel and sightseeing, then this is for you. The wifi is great too ! convenience store is just next to the building, and bugis station is also near.
