What you see on the website is what you will be experiencing. The moment you step into the lobby, you will smell the sweet scent. The staffs are very approachable and friendly. They are always willing to lend out their helping hands. I was served by Faizal, a very impressive Front Office Associate. He allocated a quiet room for me because we need to have a good rest the night before our long run at nearby East Coast Park. And each time you pass by the front desk, the staffs will greet you. I am very impressed by their service attitude. The layout of the lobby is almost as good as a 5 star hotel. We love the modern furnishing... this includes the dark bathroom tiles and new basin in our room. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the room comes with a safe to store your valuables. The bed sheet on our bed was pure white and cleaned... I could see the fold lines. Although given with a small window with natural light, it works just nice. Just opposite the hotel on the right, serve very nice local Chinese food or to Dunman Food Centre. If you turn left from the hotel lobby, try locating the famous Sin Heng Bak Ku Teh located at 439 Joo Chiat Road next to the Joo Chiat Community Centre. Staying at Venue hotel, you will never go hungry because if you walk down ahead towards East Coast Road, you will find 113 Katong Mall where many global brand of eateries are located at the mall or along the shophouses. I will be back in another 3 weeks and thank you for the kind hospitality.

The Venue offered a delightful hotel experience. It has a very eye catching art nouveau lobby which leads you past the check in desk to the elevator. Everything seems new and clean and modern. My room was small and without windows but it made up for it in the decor. The Japanese headboard made me forget that I lacked space or a window. The bathroom was clean and neat and charming with the modern glass door and surround shower. It is a very up beat place for a good price and there are many restaurants near by to chose from. I had the best meal I've had anywhere just a sort walk down the street. Further down the street is a mall. Lots of things to see, do, and experience near the Venue Hotel. I highly recommend the Venue Hotel.

Cosy Budget Hotel @ Great location”

wonderful small cosy singapore hotel with a great price value. 10min walking distance to 112 katong mall which has alot of food choices(along the streets as well) and movie theatre. less than 5min walk to dunman food centre with cheap and great local food. tried many budget hotels in singapore. this is the best <100bucks hotel that i have stayed in. great room facilities, great bed. toilet is partitioned shower place and toilet therefore doesnt get wet that easily though it still does. has great facilities. only thing is wifi only one per room. has hairdryer, all the bathroom facilities (not poor quality). room is clean, bed is comfy, blanket is thick and fluffy. new hotel, definitely recommended hotel!

I stayed for a night. The only complain I have was that there was some water dripping from ceiling to floor. Other than that, with the price offered, I am OK with the small room ( but ok for 2 pax). The staff as reviewed by other travellers previously, are very very helpful. The hotel is also accessible by bus no. 16 and just 4 stops away from MRT Dakota. Forget trying to get here via Paya Lebar's MRT. It is far. The best way is to go to MRT Dakota from Changi, if you fly in, and then take the #16 bus to the hotel. For muslim traveller, halal mamak restaurant is nearby. You can also walk further along Joo Chiat Road to Katong/Roxy Square area for more options. Giant supermarket is just next door. Just ask the frontdesk staff for directions. They are very helpful. I took a cab from Venue Hotel to Changi and it just cost me SGD16 and I save more time compared to taking the MRT to Changi. Overall, it is a pleasant stay at Venue Hotel in Joo Chiat Road.

Considering that this was my second booking with the hotel already speaks volumes! Efficient check-in, close to amenities such as Giant, Pakway Parade, East Coast Park & the new I12 Katong is already a winning combination. What more can you ask for when the price you pay for a single night is totally peanuts in comparison to the amount of priviledges you get? Worth every penny! I will be back again :

It is good, it is a very price worthy hotel in Singapore. The location is very good, the East is the nicest area in Singapore. It is new and fresh and clean. the service is very good and friendly. The rooms are small but very clean and well mantained. I recommend it for all type of travelers.

Definitely it's a hotel to spend just a few nights in, as the rooms are small with many of them having no windows. For a short trip to Singapore it's a very good alternative. The neighborhood is great and you can easily find a parkplace nearby. Also next to the hotel you can find a lot of restaurants for every taste and budget. At the end of the street there's a Mall also (but in Singapore there's a Mall at the and of every street. The hotel is new and has a very interesting interior design. The staff is very polite and helpful (they offered to change our room 3 times). Rooms are clean and nicely decorated but very small. You can reach the city center within minutes by car. Overall it's great value for money, taking into consideration Singapore prices.

Apart from the wc which is very enclosed and small the hotel is perfect value for money. Staff very friendly. The cleaning staff also very good. Happy with my stay at venue compared to the rest of the Budget hotels in Singapore this is an awesome deal

Great clean and affordable hotel”

Overall, if you are only in need of a clean room, and no other demands, this is an excellent hotel. Although it might feel cramped, but it is no different than other 2-3 star hotels. The best thing of all, you dont get the funny crowd here, unlike some of the more questionable hotels known in Singapore (H81, Fragrance). The location of this hotel is excellent for visiting the great restaurants and the East of Singapore - Katong, East Coast, Marine Parade - where some of the best holiday places are located (East Coast Park), the famous Pepper Crab place on Still Road, and the Marine Parade shopping centre. All are within 10-15 minutes walking. All along East Coast road too, there are plenty of pubs, great food places to hang out. Beats the hassle of packed downtown area in City.

Will definitely come back again to stay here. New hotel with great basic hotel facilities. Staffs were very helpful and efficient. Hotel near to East Coast Park for leisure and sports activities. Near e city of Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade, theSingapore icon which are great places for sight seeing . .for halal food, a bit difficult to find though

First time staying in this hotel and the first impression is WOW! The hotel is newly built, renovated from a historical Shop-houses and the exterior details are simply beautiful. And the lobby just look awesome. I didn't expect this at all for a budget hotel. The front desk have a quality of a 5-star hotel! They greet with such a warm smile and excellent English. They were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs and really informative to our questions. When we first arrived, the hotel was still going through a bit of drilling works but we understood as it just launched. When we got to our room, it's really clean & beautifully furnished! Very contemporary design. Bed was super comfortable! A beautiful painting above the bed! Flat screen TV with a good free movie channel, mini fridge, water boiler kettle, hair dryer, safe. Housekeeping is also great, very accommodating to our needs. Gave us extra fresh towels the next day. 2 thumbs up! And the free wifi is really good!! Location is pretty good to me as we can get like ALL kinds of food around the hotel. From local to western! Just in front of the hotel, there's a turkish restaurant... and the food is DELICIOUS! Reasonable price too. 7 eleven right next to the hotel. And a huge supermarket just down the road. It's a lovely town. I was told it's near a red light district We travelled everywhere by Taxi as it was such a rainy week... So I'm not really sure how far is the hotel from the Train Station. Overall, we really loved our experience with this hotel. We'll definitely go back to this hotel again in future.

Room is tiny but it is clean & nice. Staff is good polite & helpful. Although not near MRT station, you can get bus route 16 to nearest MRT Station Dakota or most of sightseeing point in Singapore (e.g. Singapore Flyer, China Town etc). You may get a map / guild from Hotel. There is 24 hrs supermarket & 7-11 just next to the hotel, and there is many self-service landary nearby. Local food shop / hawker centre is nearby. No karaoke noise from outside but you can hear the noise if somebody speak loudly or play in corridor. Veune hotel will be my pick list if next time I visit Singapore again.

Great for a night stop room. Taxi 20 minutes from the airport and 17 SGD each way. Room is small but clean and modern. Great value. 24 hour supermarket, lots of eating places and some shopping all adjacent. Not near the metro, so no good for getting into the centre of Singapore easily. Wi Fi good. 1 Km away is the east coast where the locals have picnics and jog etc and you can look out at all the ships at anchor. Buses pass the hotel, but do not know where they go. A bit research on the SBS Transit site may help. Nearest SMRT station is Eunos

Superb location, great hotel and nice deco”

There were any comments on this hotel and I have decided to promote it. Venue Hotel is strategically located on Joo Chiat Road with its post colonial outlook. Katong 112 is just 600 meters away and Shop and Save is just next door. The best thing I like are the restaurants along the road serving different cuisines and the night life with a few pints of beer can be very pleasing for the evening. For me, at least it is some kind of getaway on weekends since the lay out of the area is so laid back.

The venue hotel is relatively close to the airport and in not well known (at least by me) area of Singapore. There are many excellent Thai and Chinese restaurants nearby and the neighborhood is characterized by two-floored refurbished Chinese houses that provide a sense of "old" Singapore. the hotel is very clean, the rooms are small but comfortable and the staff is very helpful

Thsi hotel offers a very friendly service at an exceptionally low price - for Singapore hotel price level. However, rooms are a bit too small and simple for a stay longer than oner or two nights. Full recommendation for a Singapore stopover and the wish to stay in some affordable place around the Colonial style neighborhood of East Coast.

Interesting location close to Airport”

Loved this hotel. Old but renovated 2 storey buildings surround it. 24hour shop next door. Lovely staff. Very clean room and hotel. It was typical Singapore small. Yes the water flowed under the showed door but I just put a towel down - it was no big deal. My room was on the second floor at the back and was very quiet. The restaurants are across the road and nearby and they were fine. It was very close to the airport - about 15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel. A good price for Singapore.
