The Birthday Cake”

It was excellent. On the advice of an expatriate I booked a room at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore by Far East Hospitality. It's truly strategically located with it being approximately in between Orchard Rd and Suntec City. A Kopitiam food court and a Din Tai Fung restaurant branch are in the building right beside it. Cathay Mall and Plaza Singapura are two blocks away. There's a desk at the lobby of RMG Tours that helped us book our Singapore City Tour. The room was decently sized with the double bed not dominating the it. The room interiors remind one of those small boutique hotels in London that have been properly restored. But what made our stay extra special was that a birthday cake. Two days before my girlfriend's birthday, we were surprised when a birthday cake was waiting in our room when we got back in the evening. They probably got her birthday from her passport details which we supplied when we initially checked in. Over-all a very wonderful experience. I will wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to this visiting Singapore.

We have booked several hotels directly and through Agoda, but this one, Rendezvous, is the best among the hotels we booked. The location of Rendezvous is easy to find from Dhoby Ghaut Station, which is just a 5-minute walk. We arrived the hotel at 10am and when we checked in, the receptionist offered a promo of room upgrade, late check out, free breakfast for two, and free unlimited use of its club lounge with snacks, drinks and cocktails. At an affordable price, we took the promo offer. He gave us the key card after we checked in even if their check in time is at 2pm. The room is not small but big enough for a couple. It is complete with safety box, a fridge with snacks, nice beddings with pillows. The bathroom is organized, complete with toiletries (FCUK), and what I liked most is its heated toilet bowl with wash controls. We were given the privelege to use the Club Lounge at the 11th floor. The lounge has stocks of refillable snacks and fruits, canned sodas and brewed coffee. Wifi in the room and around the hotel is free and unlimited. Service staff are excellent. Very accommodating and always approachable. Right outside the hotel is a bus station. It is convenient to go to anywhere even to and from the airport. The MRT is convenient as well, it was never a problem to go to tourist spots in Singapore. We would definitely go back to Singapore maybe next year. And we will definitely check in again in Rendezvous. Two thumbs up to Rendezvous Grand Singapore.

Excellence Service and Easy Access to Shopping ”

I Had booked a staycation on 28 June 2014 for one night. It was a birthday celebration & wedding proposal for my girlfriend. Upon arrival, check in was pretty fast and smooth. The staff had given us a free upgrade to club room without request. Greatly appreciated for the free upgrade. The counter staff was also very helpful and friendly. The room looks very new and nicely decorated. They had even provided the decoration for free. As it was a for a birthday staycation, we was given a whole piece of cake. They even prepared the details like candle, knife, plates, forks and spoons served to our room. The chocolate birthday cake is delicious. This staycation was planned not only for birthday celebration, I wanted to propose to my girlfriend. Had done the liaising and planning with the hotel personnel; Ms Huda via emails and calls. The setup of the decorations was done by Ms Lishah Karim. Both of them are very friendly and helpful which have made the surprise / celebration a successful one. The decorations done for the proposal was awesome. We were very impressed by the decorations and the effort that your had put in. (There are Helium balloons with heart shape, swans decorated by towel, rose pedals all around the area, etc) Checking out of the hotel was pretty easy and fast too. To our surprised, the Assistant Front Office Manager, Ms Sabrina Lei Shi waived off the charges for the decorations done up for the proposal & celebration as it was a success. It's so nice of the hotel to waive the charges off. In addition, they have provide the free vehicle parking for our stay. Thank you Rendezvous Hotel Singapore and all their staffs for making the event goes so smoothly. It was a memorable stay for us.

Great hotel”

The Rendezvous Hotel is in a top location - within easy walk to a MRT station, the Plaza Singapura (head to the basement for some Carrifour (retail chain) bargains), and many cultural institutions (including the Singapore National Museum). After arriving on a budget airline at 4am in the morning, we unfortunately discovered our room was one with two single beds, rather than a double. The Reception was polite but could not assist us with a chaage of rooms. They did however, rectify taht by 4pm the following day, and the king size bed was a welcome sight. If tehre are more than one of you staying, make sure you ask for two bathrobes (for some reason the rooms only come with one). There is a Kopitiam recently opened across the road and a more traditional hawker centre (for food as well) about 100m from that. Also worth trying is the award winning laksa from teh hotel restaurant - it may come at 5x the price of a regular laksa, but it was mighty tasty. I would not reccomend the kids meals at the hotel restaurant.

Pleasantly Surprised”

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how accessible it was. There are two bus stops (you can take the Bus from the airport straight to Rendezvous Hotel's doorstep and vice versa) around it and two stations near it (Dhoby Ghaut and Bugis). The room was better than we expected, since we were originally planning on just getting a budget hotel. But the price difference between a budget hotel and booking Rendezvous Hotel through Agoda was minimal, so Rendezvous won. Staff was very accommodating, although, my brother and i swear we heard the front desk staff say that our room was upgraded, but the room didn't seem like it. We were too tired then to clarify, so we just let it go. We were happy with the concierge who helped us find a couple of places we wanted to go to. And we were especially pleased with the concierge on the day we were leaving. He was very friendly, knew what we wanted/needed without asking, and he chit-chatted with us. He found out we were going to the airport pretty early so he directed us to take the bus instead of the taxi, which saved us a lot of money. Will definitely stay here again.

The stay at the Rendezvous Hotel Singapore by Far East Hospitalily was very good. My daughter enjoyed to stay in very much because the hotel is in the good location : centrality, next to public transport, there are many shopping malls nearby and very quiet with the good and friendly staffs.

Great Hotel”

Rendezvous hotel is our company's favorite home away from home. It is requested by our officers when a trip to Singapore is being planned. The hotel has excellent service, its staff is well trained and always ready to help. The layout of the building is inviting and friendly and the rooms are well appointed with many pleasing details that make each stay a pleasure. Transportation to and from the hotel by cab is ideal and very accessible. The front desk is more than willing to assist all transportation needs. I will definitely book succeeding trips to Singapore for officers and personnel at the Rendezvous hotel.

Great location, great service, a wonderful stay. ”

I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Club Room. I arrived early in Singapore, and I was able to check-in early before noon (lucky me!). As my flight the next day leaves in the evening, the hotel was also able to give me a complimentary late check-out, which I was very grateful for. The Club Room facilities were great. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks from The Club Rendezvous. I also enjoyed the swim from their Bali-inspired swimming pool. The room was an okay-sized (again, this is Singapore where space is a premium); but it was a beautifully designed room. The bed was comfortable, albeit a little high from the floor. The art display and furniture in the room and lobby hotel were a treat to the eyes; I thoroughly enjoyed them. One memorable aspect of my stay was that, the room comes with a complimentary airport-lounge access, in which I had forgotten to get my voucher for when I was leaving the hotel. I called the reception staff on my way to the airport, and just like that, they told me that they will let the airport lounge staff, that I was arriving and I can make use of my airport-lounge access. Now, that is a great service! I highly recommend this hotel for its location and service, and especially if you love arts. Thank you Rendezvous Hotel, it was exactly the kind of relaxing stay I needed :)

Excellent stay at the hotel with Club Rendezvous ”

We booked the Junior Suite for 2 nights to celebrate our special day, and was greeted with a pleasant surprise. Upon checking in, me and my partner was escorted to level 11 where the Lounge is for immediate check in and hot coffee & tea was offered. They offered the option for upgrading to the lovely executive suite (Park Suite) for a small price to pay, with a huge room for the two of us. It literally felt like an apartment instead of a hotel room. The rest of the stay was pretty amazing, we enjoyed the pool facilities and breakfast & snacks during our entire stay of 2 days. All my request for extra pillows and ice were met very promptly, I am pretty impressed in fact. The hotel is in a great location with abundance of food options nearby, with walking distance to Bugis and City Hall area. Cinemas just walking distance around the corner and the Handy Phone feature is extremely useful. Thumbs up for that. :) A Few things they could work on: 1. Keep the Jacuzzi Pool clean. I was taken aback by the amount of fallen leaves and dirt inside despite me wanting to soak in the nice warm pool. 2. Staff at Club Rendezvous could work on their business language but they were very professional nonetheless. All in all, it was a wonderful stay for me and my partner and i would definitely recommended this hotel, try to book the club rooms if possible, worth every penny!

Great hotel with great hospitality in Singapore. Staying in the club type room, we got many benefit”

Centrally located in the student district of Burgis, and at the end of the famous Orchard Road, Rendezvous hotel is such a great hotel to stay during the visit in Singapore. Within 1km walk around the hotel, there are many interesting places to see and visit such as National museum, Universities, National Library, Buddhist pagoda, church, exhibition centers, cinemas, memorial statue, the palace of Singapore president, shopping malls, restaurants etc. We can also visit China town, Little India which are not far from the hotel. The transport services such as subway or underground transportation, Bus stations are nearby., In short word "great location ".

Rendezvous Hotel Singapore”

The Rendezvous hotel is in a good location at the end of Orchard Road. Two minutes' walk from Dhoby Ghout MRT, major bus stop right outside, a walk to the Orchard shops or to the Bugis district.Check in was very quick and efficient.The lobby is quiet and civilised, not full of tour groups like some places.The room was clean and everything was in good condition.Efficient maid service. The bed was very comfortable with excellent bedding.Good gym and swimming pool.The only complaint is that the TV (a nice big LCD) had only a limited number of channels in various languages, but nothing worth watching in my opinion. No free movie channels or international news channels. I guess they do that to encourage you to pay for the pay-by-view movies.

Traveling with mum”

I visited Singapore to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. I wanted all inclusive hotel, so I we can celebrate with cocktails, canapés etc, but I was on a budget since I had to pay for it all. Rendezvous hotel had a good deal at the time for a club junior suite, so I booked 2 nights at the hotel. There is a special check in area for club lounge customers on level 11, where you get personalised check in service whilst enjoying a drink. Club lounge was small but cozy, which I loved, and spent 2 evenings there enjoying all you can have cocktails, coffee, finger food, fruit and desserts from 6-8pm. Personally, I preferred breakfast buffet downstairs, but you can visit both and see which one your prefer. Staff were lovely, always greeting you with a smile. Bed was quiet high, so if you're visiting with children/elderly person there will be difficulties. I will definitely visit again, and would highly recommend club lounge access.

Perfect location, great service. ”

We found this hotel with perfect location, close with Orchard but far enough to avoid busy shopping crowds, heart at Bugis neighborhood with a lot of boutique spots to discover. There's Bencoleen MRT station right next to hotel, easy to get here from & to airport (change line only once at Expo station). Hotel is also close with Singapore Art Museum which I was interesting to drop by but turned out in the maintenance when I was there, but love to come back next time. Besides, there's 7/11 right next to other side of hotel which is very convenient for any personal needs. Check in process is one of the fastest one we've tried, just in some minutes & room was ready for us. Our room is basic but plus point isbathroom is perfectly clean. However, the mattress was a little bit hard, still okay for our stay, just comment if hotel can find better improvement. Overall, this hotel is the best one in neigborhood & really worth with money. Definitely come back!

A pleasant anniversary stay”

Stayed one night at the rendezvous hotel to celebrate our anniversary. Firstly, I would like to commend the hotel for it's generosity by giving us a free upgrade in lieu of our anniversary celebrations. I see that this is consistent amongst far east hotels and it truly does make for a great first impression. The hotel has a great locations- 3 MRT stations within walking distance which will get you anywhere you need to in a short time. There are eateries at the hotel and around it so there is no lack of food options. What i like most about the hotel is that it's a quiet and clean oasis in the middle of a busy shopping district- would highly recommend this hotel for couples. Definitely would be back again in future

For a more boutique experience in Singapore”

As a frequent business traveller, I always try to get a room at Rendezvous Hotel. With its own unique design from its facade to its tastefully decorated hotel interior and rooms, it never cease to set me at ease while the room and staff provides the best service and amenities you can expect from the hospitality industry. Strategically located that you can access Orchard Road's shopping belt, it is also directly opposite the iconic Cathay cinema and in case you came in during the F1 season, you can even catch the racing from the rooms at the top of the hotel. You are also spoilt for choice in cuisines from its well-regarded international buffet to the local eateries nearby. At least 2 subway stations and many taxis are within easy access too.

Great hotel”

We arrived in Singapore at 8AM and went to the hotel to leave our luggage there, but much to our surprise they said we were able to check in early! Never before have I checked in that early to a hotel, normally it's only 1-2 hours before the standard check in time. We stayed in a twin room which was a very good size compared to other hotels I've stayed in in Singapore. The bathroom was very clean and big, particularly the shower. I've always had issues with the water pressure of showers in Singapore but this one was great. The decor of the room and throughout the hotel itself was very nice. From the room you could hear people walking in the hallways if they spoke very loudly, but most of the time we were out so that did not bother us very much. It is also very close (about a 5 minute walk depending on the traffic lights) to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, which is the major MRT station as it has 3 train lines going to it. The red(that takes you to Orchard Road), yellow and purple. As well as this it is about a 2 minute walk to the Bras Basah MRT station which is on the yellow line. You could also walk to Bugis from this hotel in about 15 minutes. Overall this is a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

Rendezvous Hotel Singapore is a great place to stay when visiting the Lion City! Easy walking distance to Little India, Kampong Glam and Orchard Road it is perfectly located. Decent staycation”

Had a staycation at Rendezvous Hotel over the Valentine's Day weekend. Check-in was smooth but I struggled to figure out what the receptionist was saying. But I managed to make out that she wanted to offer us a $50++ (for 2 pax) top-up to our booking to give us access to the Club Lounge as well as late check-out (4pm) the following day. We duly agreed. There are snacks during 2-5pm in the Club Lounge, evening cocktail at 6pm, and you could choose from breakfast at the Club Lounge or at Straits Cafe. Basically if you go for the $50++ top-up and you are not picky, you need not worry about your meals during your stay at the hotel. A staff at the Club Lounge, Cheer Huay, even took the extra mile to get a copy of the Sunday Times for me when I requested for it. It's good service indeed. My only complain is that there are too many guests in the Club Lounge and too little food for all of us. We were scrambling to get food everytime it was refilled. Nonetheless, it was still overall a good stay at Rendezvous Hotel.

my stay with rendezvous hotel was great. all the employees that i came in contact with were very warm hospitable and answered all my query. they even give suggestions such as staying at the poolside while waiting for the room or if flight back is still late at night. the entire place is very clean. i was happy to see iron and ironing board inside my room. i really needed that to iron the clothes i will be wearing for the seminar. with access to both taxi and bus, it is very convenient for tourists to take public transportation. the mrt is even just walking distance from the hotel.

The Rendezvous Hotel is a great hotel with an excellent location next to Orchard Road and Raffles. When I wanted to head to another part of the island all I had to do was walk 2 minutes to the metro station. People at the hotel were friendly and helpful when I needed help or directions. There are restaurants and bars in and around the hotel or within a short walking distance. I was disappointed in the Internet charges. I've never been to a country where hotels charge for Internet usage. At least the second hotel where I stayed had a public computer that was free. I also was very irritated at the 'older' people who hogged the pool the entire four days I was staying at the Rendezvous. They took naps while those of us that truly wanted to enjoy the pool weren't able to due to lack of chairs (I think there were 11 total). I would stay at the Rendezvous again but I'd make sure I was up at the crack of dawn to put my towel by the pool!
