Fabulous bed, great location, not-so-great service”

i come to singapore for work a lot and i usually stay at the m hotel - so i thought the studio m would be able the same. not so. first of all, this hotel room had the single most comfortable bed i've ever slept on in a hotel. it had a down mattress pad on top of a nice soft-but-firm mattress. my first night here i slept for 10 hours straight. unbelievable! studio m is all about efficient use of small spaces. the rooms are an unusual layout, with a small downstairs area and a lofted bed upstairs. considering how small the room is, it's a pretty efficient layout. the height of the room allows for a huge window which was quite nice. the bathroom set up was the only thing i didn't really like. there's a tiny room right by the entrance with a shower, another tiny room on the other side of the entrance with a toilet, and a sink/counter under the stairs. it works, but the wc sure was close. the hallways outside the rooms are really narrow too. all this being said, my partner and i (who are not tiny people) stayed here comfortably for 6 nights. it's nice that the lofted bedroom creates a sense of a second room, even though it's all open. the location is excellent, right on robertson quay. tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance. the staff were not great. the stand at the counter in the (tiny) lobby, looking down and tapping away at their computers and do not look up to help the people at the counter until someone says "excuse me!" they are disorganized and not proactive - you have to ask for everything. the pool and pool bar area is really nice.

Chic studio near Clarke Quay revelry”

i am a native singaporean, but i have never put up in a hotel in singapore. i broke my celibacy in studio m and i had absolutely no regrets. the bedroom's design and furnishing was minimalistic yet sophisticated. i was also pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel was equppied with a gym and a pool, considering it was a relatively small hotel. the hotel was also merely a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of party and revelry at clarke quay. my only quib about studio m will be the attached bathroom that was so small, it was almost claustrophobic. otherwise, it doesnt really get any better than studio m!

Studio M, A Great Place to Stay”

My Partner and I stayed at Studio M and we couldnt be happier with the acommodation. The loft idea is novel and works well. Our only difficulty was not with the hotel but with taxi drivers not knowing the location of this new hotel. They always got M Hotel on Anson Road confused with Studio M Hotel on Nanson Road. Best to say to the cabbie, Studio M Hotel, Clark Quay. Aside from this minor irritation, if you are looking for great acommodation at a reasonable price, with free broadband internet, then Studio M should be in your top 3! Highly Recommended.

Beautiful & Simple hotel~ Wonderful for a couple”

My wife & I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here & had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and gladly accepted our request for a late check-out. Breakfast was very simple and nice with an Egg cooking station. Would have been better if there was a pianist on the white grand piano during breakfast :) The room is very cosy, and even though small, it is still quite spacious. My pregnant wife was able to navigate around the room rather easily, but please don't bring your pregnant wife to Studio M as there are steps to climb to get into bed! The only "not too good" thing was that they didn't have enough sports channels where I couldn't watch the soccer match that was on. They did have cable tv though, but I think it was under Starhub Cable TV which doesn't broadcast Barclay's Premier League matches. Wifi was very strong and it seems that only 2 computers/devices can connect at one time. I managed to stream my match through the wifi in the hotel. Overall a really pleasant stay & if you're from Singapore & looking for a quick getaway, Studio M Hotel is one I'd really recommend. If you're from overseas, it's a good place to stay as it's in the City, but not so convenient as public transport may be a little more difficult to get to, especially if you're not very sure of the roads. However, you'll never get lost in Singapore, so it shouldn't be a problem! Have fun!~

Enjoyed the Hotel”

Here are some of our views about M Studio Singapore. My wife, our 6 year old son and I checked in at the hotel through AGODA and had no problem. The concierge greeted nicely and the front desk immediately processed our reservation,at the end of the checking in processed a deposit was asked. Hotel location The M studio Hotel was located just few steps away from the river (Robertson quay). Bus stop is 400 m and about 1 km away to Chinatown MRT station. Clark Quay is near by. Close to restaurants, however, there are no mini markets around the hotel area, so if you need extra snacks or bottled water, be sure to buy them before reaching the hotel. The Room We stayed for 2 nights and had read all the reviews prior reserving the M Studio from trip advisor so i did not had high expectations and knew what the room would look liked. I booked the premier Loft. The same as other reviews and compared to the Morrisey in Jakarta,this 2 storey duplex is tight,crampy and crampy. But my family and I dont mind. For an average Asian sized family the room was great. Clean, didnt smelled the mouldiness as other guests did on their reviews instead the room had a bit of coffee smelled when we got in. Room Amenities The room had separate shower and toilet and yes it was small and you fell very crampy i wouldnt recommend anyone who is claustrophobia. The upstairs bedroom had really low side ceiling so mind your head when you wake up. Room service It took 12.minutes for extra towel from room service. Breakfast Breakfast buffet was Ok. Need more varieties. Checking Out My family had booked a day tour on our last day of stayed so we had to checked out early. The reception was kind enough to left our lugages to be picked up later in the afternoon.

Still one of my favourite hotels”

This is my second stay at Studio M's Premier Loft. I have booked a similar room last december in 2012 and booked it again this year and i was definitely not disappointed in any way. The rooms were clean and comfortable just like before, which made the stay very pleasant. A small downside during the stay this time round was that the fridge in the room was faulty and we weren't able to chill the beverages we bought so we called the front desk for assistance and the hotel staff promptly sent someone to check and replace the faulty fridge for us. Thumbs up for the really prompt service, very friendly and attentive staffs too. As we booked through Agoda, we managed to receive complimentary breakfast and having read earlier reviews on the breakfast which was offered at Studio M, i was actually pretty pleased with what the breakfast spread when i went for breakfast that morning. The spread was pretty great and it was definitely not like what some other reviewers made it to sound like. Studio M is to date, my favourite hotel in Singapore. I will definitely be back again in the future!

Unique loft hotel room”

Unique loft design, love the 2 storey high window! One of the value for money hotels in Singapore. Great location at Robertson Quay, which is only 5min walk along Singapore river to Clarke Quay. Clarke Quay is famous for bustling night life and many cafes and restaurants along the river! There are many nice cafes around the hotel, which serves delicious all day breakfast, hence breakfast at hotel may be skipped. Very comfortable loft bed in the Premier room. Bathroom and toilet are separate. Both are pretty cramp, just nice fit 1 person. Cleaniness can be improved as stains can be noted at the robes hanging area. The sofa on the lower level can be pulled out to be a sofa bed, hence can accommodate more than 2 persons in the room. The room is equipped with safety box, fridge, hairdryer and separate working table either on the upper or lower part of the deck. One thing to note is that public transport is not conveniently located near the hotel. For first time visitor to Singapore, it is advisable to travel around by taxi, which the hotel concierge staff can help to get.

Prefect Location and Very Nice Outdoor Area ”

this was a very comfortable hotel. singapore is very expensive and people are use to small places, but even though our room was not big it was well designed with lots of draws and places to put things away. the outdoor facilities were great with a long swimming pool, areas to sit by the pool or under cover if it rained. even though i am and older woman i was totally comfortable here and the best thing about this hotel is the location. it is one block from the river which is the heart of singapore, connecting robertson quay to clarke quay. it was perfect for being with both the young and old, having dinner at numberous excellent restaurants and listening to all kinds of music drifting from the nighclubs. every night we had an enjoyable stroll back to our hotel feeling very content with warm breezes on my sleevless arms and having eaten a good meal. i don't think you can get a better deal for price, comfort, and location in all of singapore

Great service in a lovely hotel”

We loved the loft as it was something new. In fact, this is our second trip to Studio M Hotel for a stayction! The hotel had comfortable beds and we really loved their ginger shower gel! The location of the hotel is really ideal, it's not too near from the busy Clarke Quay, merely a 10 minute walk away and the walk to Clarke Quay can be a nice stroll and it's along romantic Singapore River!

The perfect Singapore getaway!”

This cute hotel tucked away at Robertson Quay (a short walk from the much happening Clark Quay) is the perfect place to stay in Singapore. This was my second time here and it's only gotten better over the past few years! From the moment I checked in (they were highly accommodating with our early arrival and showed us our room at 9:30am) till my departure, their was consistent service with a smile! The concept of staying in a loft may seem absurd to some travelers, but I loved the fact that the cute little rooms are split on 2 levels - allowing you to dump your luggage on one, while you recharge and sleep on another level. Not to forget the spectacular view with the big windows overlooking the river. (You MUST book the executive loft if you want a corner room with Windows on 2 walls) I found it a bit odd that there's no sink in the bathroom, but that little fact gets overshadowed by all the positivity at this place. With the executive loft we were also surprised with a complimentary phone on the room that could be used as a tour guide while exploring Singapore (free data) and to make free calls to select places abroad (I wish they had more countries - I couldn't dial Pakistan), and a complimentary mini bar which was also stocked up with instant Chilli Crab noodles (each visit to Singapore demands that you eat Chilli Crab- Jumbo Seafood is a good place to try out). The bathroom was well equipped with the basic amenities (shower gel, shampoo, and soap) Breakfast by the pool was great and the menu changed each day while we were there - so we tried something new each time! Throughout our stay here, we noticed that there was a very subtle but distinct air freshener throughout the hotel that made the place smell relaxing (almost like a fancy spa) - it's this little attention to detail and the friendly staff that has convinced me to stay here for the third time whenever I visit Singapore next.

Great for couple retreats!”

positively loved my previous stays at studio m so i felt like i had to write a review congratulating the architects for a perfect piece of art. studio m is comfortable in every way - cosy, intimate and a treat to the eyes. i also liked how the shower is apart from the toilet, albeit a little small. breakfast spread is decent, with great wifi connection in the room. a sweet heaven for couples looking for a romantic getaway in the city. walking distance to clark quay with quaint and beautiful scenery on your way there. i recommend staying on a weekday because you'll feel like you both feel like the world is yours.

Great stay at Studio M”

We stayed over in Studio M Hotel on 25 Oct - 26 Oct 2019 in the Premier Loft (with bed on the 2nd floor) at Room 650. We had a great stay overall, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was adequately sufficient (simple spread of bacon, eggs, hashbrown, noodles, cereal, pastries, some chinese fare) and the hotel facilities (pool, jacuzzi and dartboards) were great! We checked-in at around 5 pm, hence we did not encounter any check-in queues other reviewers mentioned. Paul, their staff, checked us in promptly upon arrival, gave us tips on how to get around Robertson Quay, and advised us even to head to breakfast earlier (in light of the relatively full occupancy) to make the best of our short stay there. The Premier Loft itself was a great and comfortable stay, with all items in the mini-bar complimentary! Although we did notice a bit of run down in terms of room (a bit of wood chipping off the stairs, the shower door was slightly ajar), none of that did much to hamper our experience.

Interesting centrally located hotel”

Staff were generally friendly and helpful, but the whole time I was there, the lobby staff were always very busy attending to guests, so it was usually a short wait before I could speak to someone about changing currency or issues with the WiFi. I guess it can't be helped if you're a popular hotel with many guests, then you're bound to be busy. Back to the WiFi, I found that it did not work at all in my room. I asked the staff about it, they tried their best to help, in the end they gave me a network cable to use with my laptop and arranged for an IT person to look into the issue. I chose to book at Studio M Hotel primarily for the location, but also for the unusual loft-style rooms. I read many comments about the tiny size of the shower and toilet, but as someone who is 165cm tall and slightly overwreight, I didn't have any issues with the size of the shower and toilet (although it was certainly much smaller than any shower/toilet/bathroom I've seen in other hotels). I really liked the bed in our room. Just about every other hotel I've been to offers a bed that is slightly firmer to what I'm used to, but the bed in Studio M must be the softest I've experienced. The large windows also offer a nice view and the illusion of space. As mentioned already, location was a main reason for choosing this hotel. My partner and I walked to Orchard Road, it took maybe 20 minutes because we got lost and went up the wrong street, but the walk back to the hotel was around 10-15 minutes. It was also a short walk to the MRT stations which pretty much take you anywhere you want to go in Singapore.

great location ”

studio m is a modern, hip hotel in a convenient location. just a few blocks from the singapore river, it was easy to walk to many places. the room itself was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. the bed may have been the most comfortable i've ever slept in. i do wish that the hotel was closer to a subway stop, but the 15 minute walk to the clarke quay station wasn't too bad. also, it was a bit precarious walking up and down the stairs from the loft in the dark, should the need to use the loo arise.

Edgy Look with a Warm Feeling”

Having been to Singapore many times for both business and leisure, I tend to pick different hotels to experience different ambience, as well as getting a fresh feel over the surrounding. Yet, Im no back-packer traveller - I dont just go to hotels without certain level of brand reputation. Studio M with Millenium link tempted me with its post-mo decor as pictured in its website. Its location that is near Robertson's Walk was definitely a pull too. My 4-night stay turned out to be even better than expected. Other ultra-modern, single-traveller kinda lodging would usually pose very minimalistic, professional and hyper-efficient kinda service. But, not Studio M. Despite its trendy, modern style, it welcomes its guests with warmth and personalised service. After all, it is human connection that an accommodation should provide, however edgy and individualistic it physical structure looks. Studio M is a curious combination of modern style and home-away-from-home feel. Great job.

Worth Every Cent!”

I booked this hotel for my family vacation after seeing the hotel pictures from the Agoda website. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the pricing but i decided to take the chance anyway. I'm glad i took the risk! The rooms are quite comfortable for 2. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very courteous and helpful. Studio M is located near a bunch of restaurants and it is only a short walk away from Clarke Quay. I will most definitely book this hotel again!

Great Hotel with Character”

I have stayed at the Studio M roughly half a dozen times now and I will certainly be staying there again. The rooms have great character and are comfortable; the food is fine and the facilities are ideal for my requirements. Being located near Clarke Quay is also a bonus as there are plenty or restaurants and bars at your disposal within close proximity. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Singapore.

Pleasant and really, really comfortable!”

Our stay at Studio M was really nice and pleasant. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Cozy! They were nicely designed and situated in a nice location, near Clarke Quay and other places to visit in Singapore. Breakfast was alright. The pool was alright, although the jacuzzi could use some heat in it. Overall, our stay was nice and we enjoyed our time with Studio M! Till Next Time! :-)

Great location, comfortable rooms”

I had friends who raved about Studio M, so when I had a free weekend (and some spare cash), I thought i'd spring for a room for a couple of nights. The location is great, its within walking distance to Clarke Quay (tons of clubs and bars), but not so near that it's noisy. The area is really peaceful and quiet in the day, good for strolls along the river and at night, it transforms into a cozy neighbourhood of bars and all kinds of dining. The hotel itself is nice. Loft styled, clean, really comfortable beds and efficient service. Then again, I am biased against loft styled rooms. It's an ideal place for foreigners and locals alike!

A wonderful hip hotel”

Studio M hotel is a very nice hotel. It is located at Robinson Quay and the famous Clarke Quay is just in a 10 mins walking distance. Restaurants and pubs are just around the corner. Though MRT station is a bit far away, it is a nice memory for me to talk along the Singapore Riverside and I enjoyed much. The room is warm, tidy and well decorated. Room rate is not expensive. In short, it should be a choice of value for money.
