Comfortable and Valuable Stay ”

I went to Singapore the other day for a weekend escape with my mom. We planned to try something different by staying away from the hectic Orchard Road to somewhere we never knew before. I checked in internet and found this new hotel, I read the review and was interested because the rates are friendly for our pocket. This Hotel was super clean, the receptionist staff proceeded our booking so fast. In front of the hotel, there were an ATM machine, 24hrs convenience store, and most importantly, a bus stop, just took around 10 minutes to hop into #124 bus heading to orchard road. If u want to take the MRT, hop into the same bus heading to newton or novena station, took about 5minutes to go there by bus. if u want to walk from hotel to novena MRT station, it took approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Other thing that u might consider is the size of the shower room. Unfortunately, the shower room was small, convenience for taking shower but all things will get wet when u shower (like the sink, the closet-no curtain). Also, we could hear other room's noises when we were in our own room. However, my mom and I enjoyed our stay in Value Hotel Balestier :) will come back for our next short weekend getaway because this hotel is value for money and super clean. Really valuable just like its name :)

was there with two other friends for 3 nights. the room is really small; queen size bed and a sofa bed that may be too small for some. the toilet is tiny. they could have use some rug outside the toilet and inside as the floor can be very slippery. room does not come with dim lights, so you either have the toilet lights on, or one of the room lights on. no sidetable lamp. overall, the stay is ok. if you are only looking for a place to bunk for the night, value hotel balestier could be considered. shopping tip: there are several convenient stores within walking distance. the famous bakuteh and chicken rice at balestier is just within walking distance. whompoa market is about 5 minutes walk-away; you could find some local food selling at a minimum sgd2. no mrt station nearby hence you'll need to flag a cab to the nearest mrt which is novena. the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel if you prefer to ride a bus to town. if you're travelling in a group of four, getting a cab may be cheaper compared to travelling by mrt or the bus.

As I entered the Value Hotel, i suddenly felt at ease with it. I felt like it was a very nice and cozy hotel to stay in for my short trip in Singapore. It has great rooms which are just right for a short stay, it has sufficient amenities which make its guests feel good. The location of the hotel is also very convenient because it is just close to the different food stalls and other joints, as well as with the bus stop, which makes it the perfect choice for travelers in Singapore. Truly, staying at Value Hotel Balestier has truly been a very good decision. And for our future travels in Singapore, we will only have one choice, Value Hotel Balestier.

I booked this hotel for my family to stay when they visited Singapore. Booked two rooms. and on a separate agoda booking i booked a room to be used in case if i don't get early check in. I i checked in to that room day before and didn't even mention them about my other booking. When i woke up and went down the next day to go to the airport to pick my family i told them i have another booking. And i was surprised to see that they have already prepared the adjoining room for me and was kind enough to give me the keys for the other rooms. Didn't even charge for the early check in. They also provided late checkout free of charge. Nice and clean rooms. Room service comes every day.. Changes everything from sheets to tooth brushes.. Superb wifi connection. Value for money no doubt.. Deserves a 10 out of 10 review.. In short. .Value hotel Balestier ROCKS!!!

Vacation Trip”

Clean, new, comfy, friendly. We recommened this over the Value Hotel Nice because the room at this location is a little bit bigger, looks newer, and cleaner. I check out from here and check into the Value Hotel Nice because it price was slightly cheaper and bigger for the same type of room (superior with window and wifi). But I wish I have stayed at the Balestier instead of the Nice. It was not worth trying to same few dollars, the Balestier room was more comfortable and more space than the one at the Nice. I would stay here next time if I go because the price, clealiness, friendly environment and staff, good location, convenience,bus stop. Althouhg the Value Hotel Nice offers free shuttle service in to morning to go to a subway station which it was nice and convenient.

It was my first time to stay at Value Hotel Balestier at SG. Its worth the money. The staff was so friendly. Neat and modern hotel. Good Internet connection. The best part is the bus stop is in front of the hotel. There's Cheers Mart beside the hotel. There's also a traditional market/FoodCourt when you walk abt 5 min to the right from the hotel. I always use bus to go the MRT Station. For your info this is the bus number: From the hotel: 124 Orchard 130 Bugis/marina 145 sentosa Going to hotel: Stop by Novena MRT - take bus 21 alight at 1 stop - 124 . Would love to stay in this hotel for my next trip to sg!! 😘

We have been staying in these hotels value hotel balestier and value hotel nice for about 3 years in a roll. The reasons are as the follow: Worth for the money spending. Very comfortable such as transportation, meals, environment, and so on. It is really reasonable price for all business people, parents to visit their boys or girls, even for visiting couple. In conclusion, these hotels; value balestier and value nice are just perfect places for us. Thanks. We stay in Balestier hotel for Christmas holiday for 3 days. As we know from the hotel name, the main reason we choose this hotel is because of the price, and also heard from a friend that this hotel is new. The room is clean. It's not too big, but fit just right for a couple to stay for a while. It has normal stuff such as LCD TV, small desk with mirror, cloth cabinet. The bathroom is a bit small, but it's located inside the room, which is nice. The staffs are nice and helpful everytime we ask for any service or bus/MRT direction. For traveling, MRT station is a bit far from the hotel. However, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. We use bus mostly since the direction is quite easy to understand. There are also many eating place around the hotel. If you want to eat at a cafetaria like (a place with many restaurant selection, self service), there is also a 24 hours market place around 2 bus stop from the hotel (take the bus on the opposite side of the hotel). Overall, our experience staying at this hotel is nice. If we are visiting Singapore again, most likely we will consider staying there again.

Compare to nearby value hotels in Balestier, this one is simply the 'mercedez'. The lobby is contemporary minimalist. The room is small yet spacious and modern. The 32" LCD TV is a great companion for watching English Premier League or HBO at night. For food lovers, you can find the most famous chicken rice restaurant chain in Singapore - Boon Tong Kee - near the hotel. Or you can try roti prata, carrot cake, fish ball noodle, at "Whampoa Drive" and "Balestier Food Center". It's all within a few minutes walk.

Value Hotel at 218 Balestier is very suitable for family and tourists who would spend most of their times shopping and going to amusement places in Singapore. Since you'll be going out all day, therefore you only need a clean, comfortable place to sleep. This hotel fulfill the basic criteria: clean, safe, cheap. But family or tourists who love staying in a hotel to enjoy its atmosphere and facilities, might not find it suitable. So if you only need a place to sleep after wandering around all day, this hotel is the right place to stay. The price is quite cheap, so you can use most of your pocket money to go shopping...!!!

Value Hotel is clean and nice”

I felt comfortable at the Value Hotel Balestier because of the clean room with free internet. I really appreciated the efficient customer service provided by the friendly staff. The hotel is close to transportation and about 10 minutes bus ride to the Singapore Orchard Road Shopping Centre. It is also close to the Balestier Market Food Court. Overall, I consider that the Value Hotel Balestier is a very place to stay for a business or shopping trip.

Superb value hotel at an affordable price”

Our stay with Value Hotel Balestier was one of the most unforgettable ones we had. Though we had a late check-in, the staff accomodated us. The rooms are great and suit our needs. We were given free wifi access. If we need something else, there are 2 convenient stores (Cheers & 7-11). There are also nearby restaurants and a 5-minute walk to Hawker Food Centre. Thanks to pinoy Ms. Conny and her Singaporean staff for their great hospitality. Two thumbs up! I will definitely recommend Value Hotel Balestier to my friends and relatives!

value hotels in singapore are really value for money. with night you would hardly find any hotel with a pleasant and welcoming staff. clean and tidy rooms everyday... located nicely for food and transport. when going to value hotel balestier be specific to take you to 218, balestier with the cab driver as there are 3 value hotels ( nice, thomson, balestier) in the area or you end up in the wrong one. insist on the room with window, as some rooms in the centre of the building are without windows ( but, with good air conditioning system). or you would be unaware of the day / night / climate situation outside.

Booked a Superior room and stayed for 2 nights with parents. I must say you really get your mone'y's worth with this hotel. The room looks exactly the same as in the pictures - it is small, but very clean with just about everything you need. It's a newly renovated hotel, hence the clean feel. The deco is modern contemporary. DVD Player, 32" LCD TV, hair dryer, coffee/tea making facility, broadband. No fridge but who needs it when convenience store is right opposite the hotel. It is not located in a sleazy place and bus stop is right outside the hotel, with food available within walking distance along Balestier Road. Basement parking is available - SGD10 for overnight parking. Nothing to really shout out about the service, but that is because of our limited interaction with the service crew. Less than 5 mins to check in and we only need to hand in our room keys (card access) to the reception to check out. There were some complaints by fellow reviewers about the noise factor. We can hear some doors opening/closing, but its not so loud and often that we cant sleep. Besides, after a day of sightseing, you'd sleep like a baby. Cant hear the traffic or noise from outside the hotel. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a no frills hotel stay, or those with a tight budget.

Great value for money”

The Value Hotel Balestier offers great value, and is easily accessible from both the airport and the shopping district. Check in and check out were smooth and hassle free. There are plenty of food places around Balestier road that opens till very late. There is also a 7-Eleven downstairs. So you'll never grow hungry. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They were recently renovated with a neat and minimalist design. The only downside was that it's hard to park around the hotel so alighting from a taxi or coach can be difficult.

Good, clean, comfortable hotel in good price range”

Value Hotel Balestier was a nice surprise for us. We had heard horror stories about horrible hotels in Singapore if you went below the US$90 price range, but we stayed here for half that. The hotel was spotless and brand new. The location was a little off the beaten track but close enough to be convenient. One night we didn't get a cab and we even walked back from little India. It's only real con is that it is not close to the train station. The other small thing was the bathroom - it was tiny and didn't have a separate shower stall so the whole bathroom got wet when we showered. If you shower and then go out, this is not an issue. Would definitely stay here again.

Not bad Budget hotel ”

This Budget hotel is not bad for its price point. When I step into the room, the room feels clean and comfortable. What surprise me is that they actually provide 2 complimentary water bottle unlike other Budget hotel I stayed which only gave you 1 bottle of water bottle. Not only that, inside the toilet they provide 1 shower cap, 2 dental kit (toothbrush and toothpaste) and 1 30ml shampoo/conditioner and 1 30ml body wash. Unlike other Budget hotel I stayed their toilet soap is in one dispenser like they expect you to wash this from head to toe but this one doesn’t. And you can also request for bedroom slipper over the counter if you want to, surprise they actually provide it upon request love it ! The smart TV can watch YouTube, live channel and get some information about the facility and surrounding shops you can explore. The hotel surrounding downstair have a small cafe which can be pricey for some people who are on budget but hey Balestier have a lot of other affordable food you can explore and try. Like the market if you wake up in the morning, bak ku teh, Indian Muslim food etc. They also have a small shopping mall about 3 bus stop away call Zhong Shang Mall (if I’m not wrong). It’s a 2 storey shopping mall level 2 is Super market then level 1 have like macdonald, food court, BreadTalk etc. Staff are attentive and alert, always ready to stand up and serve you although they could be abit more smiley but I’m fine with that. They are very efficient afterall. The room , the hotel lobby, and the staff make me want to come back and stay again. Will definitely come back again! Enjoy my stay there. :)

Lumayan bagus”

Hanya utk tempat peristirahatan sementara saja, kebetulan sedang berlibur ke singapore, mencara hotel yang bagus, dekat kalau mau ke mana aja, terutama yg mudah dijangkau oleh alat transportasi, posisi di kota namun harganya terjangkau (Valueable Hotel). Ternyata saya mencari di agoda.com ada beberapa alternatif hotel yg ditawarkan namun saya memilih Value Hotel Balestier. Sebab selain kriteria tadi juga terutama hal yg paling saya senang adalah hotel ini menawarkan fasilitas Wifi Internet Gratis dan ternyata lumayan kencang aksesnya. Jadi saya makin merasa dipermudah utk bisa tetap menjaga komunikasi walaupun hanya melalui fasilitas Wifi Internet Gratis di hotel ini. Mengingat kalau di Singapore fasilitas Wifi Internet banyak yg berbayar termasuk di dlm hotel. Namun di Value Hotel Balestier ini Wifi nya bener-bener Gratis dan Kencang.

i always stay at value hotel balestier whenever i come to singapore, be it as business purpose or my own vacation trip. it's so convinient to stay here, with its comfort room and the location makes me wanted to come back. i love staying in the centre of big city! i could access to any interesting places only by walking. and the rate is affordable too especially when i travel alone.

The hotel is ideal for budget travel: - The price is acceptable for an expensive city like Singapore - The hotel is new. The room is clean. The staffs are nice. - Next to hotel is 24/24 shop. About 10 minutes walking, there is Whoampoa market, food court. - In front of hotel is a bus stop, you can take bus no. 124 to Novena MRT. It's also easy to take taxi at front of hotel. But there are some points that you may concern before booking: - The room is small without window. The wall is not closed, you may heard people's voice, telephone ringing from the other rooms. - There is no mini bar (refrigerator). - You need to prepare soap, gel, shaving kit, dental kit, comb.
