Great place!”

My stay at Gyeongju was made perfect by the choice of The Suite Hotel. It came across as a relatively new hotel (was there in feb 2011), with contemporary designs and new/well-maintained facilities. The check-in counter staff were very friendly. Even though they did not speak English very fluently, they tried their very best to communicate with us in the clearest way possible. Perhaps the only downside was that the hotel was located at tip of the Bomun tourist area, which means that there was a fair bit of walking to get to the nearest eatery/bus stop. (which is something you may not want to try in the korean winter). Nonetheless, this did not mar the experience at The Suites, for the excellent feel of the hotel made it feel like the perfect refuge whenever we were trudging back to the hotel in the late night after travelling around for the whole day. If you're going to Gyeongju, do choose The Suites for I'm sure you won't regret it.

Lovely hotel”

Helpful staff, good breakfast (Korean and Western options), well-connected on local bus routes to all the sights and to both the Gyeongju bus station and the New Gyeongju KTX station. Our room overlooked the golf course, but there was also a forest adjoining on another side. Can go for little walks there. There are lots of restaurants in the Bomun Tourist Complex area about 20 mins walk away, including a great Korean Beef BBQ across from the Hilton. Really cheap and you can get tenderloin, sirloin, striploin, etc for grilling.

Old-world class”

Very large room with excellent bathroom and tasteful if slightly dated decor. Comfortable and large beds, quiet and scenic. Staff were very nice, however be warned that the bus service between the hotel and historic Gyeongju is very confusing, and not as quick or as regular as Google Maps or the city government’s website will lead you to believe. If I came to Gyeongju again, I would probably stay in a city hotel, but if you’re here for the golf or lake resort then the Suites is an excellent choice.

Gigantic rooms”

The rooms in this hotel are gigantic and very well equipped. It's quite a distance away from the main tourist attractions. You will need to take a cab or bus to go to the main tourist attractions of Gyeongju. The nearest convenience store is about 10 minutes walk. The nearest concentration of restaurants is about 20 minutes walk. It's quite remote but the rooms are really great.

Impressive Hotel”

We took a bus opposite the bus station and it dropped us near Hyundai Hotel. The Suite Hotel (aka Suites Maison or Sweet Hotel) is across the road from Hyundai Hotel and you probably need to walk about 8 to 10 minutes from the bus stop to the hotel. In Korea, the check in time for most hotels is 2.00 pm. So be prepared to wait till 2pm. The receptionists at the hotels speak a bit of English and were helpful. They helped us book a train to Andong and a day tour to the places of interest in Gyeonju e.g. Seokguram Grotto and Cheonmachong. However the tour is conducted in Korean but the tour guide speaks some English and provided us with an English guide book to help us along. From the hotel, you will need to walk for more than 30 minutes to places of interest around the lake. But you can take the shuttle bus that runs around the lake or rent a bicycle from a shop near the hotel. The hotel is quiet as there are only about 30 plus rooms. It is a good place to relax and enjoy the nature around the lake. We highly recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely hotel with big bathtub. ”

Lovely hotel, big and clean room. Bathroom comes with shower n a hugh bathtub. Really enjoyed the one night stay there. Breakfast was a choice of Korean or western, both taste good. 10 mins walk from the bus-stop. 20min walk to the nearby lake with many restaurant. Will stay there again if we visit Gyeongju.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price”

Good location - within 5-10 mins driving from the main sights of Gyeongju. Friendly and helpful staff - internet in the lobby. Stopped serving dinner at 9.30 though so when we arrived late couldn't get food. Good breakfast with lots of choice

Good hotel with nice design”

we enjoyed our stay as the rooms were very nicely design and large bathroom. location was far from downtown but in between attractions in downtown and grotto. so it wasn't bad. free business center. a bit expensive, but i guess decent hotels are all expensive in gyeongju. breakfast was average. the staffs couldn't speak much english. we arrived at about 2pm and at first the staffs said they wouldn't allow us to check in since the check in time is 3pm. so we just sat there waiting, then after a while they changed their mind and allowed us to check into 1 out of 2 rooms we booked. then as we were about to go up the lift, they gave us the key to the 2nd room and let us check in. that was a little strange and they couldn't have scored more points if they let us checked in an hour before the time.

Nice and Beautiful Hotel but slightly far away”

the only problem is the hotel are too far away as it stays at the end of bomun lake... however, this hotel is highly recommended those like quite environment, as this is a golf resort hotel. they rooms are all very big and modern especially facing the golf range view...

Wonderful Boutique Hotel with lovely rooms”

My wife and I were most pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and its equally large bathroom - the bathroom and toilet occupies almost one-third of the room. There are separate shower, long bath and toilet facilities with see through glass (with option to lower the blind), etc. to give it the "spa" feel. The hotel is small, with about 50-plus rooms spread over a 4-storey building (right next to the more well-known Hyundai Hotel). The rooms are large and clean with free internet access, king-sized bed and large flat screen TV. The only snag is the lack of eating outlets within the hotel except for a cafe-restaurant with limited selection of food. However, that is not really a problem as there are enough eating outlets at a nearby food village or if one is prepared to pay a little bit more, there is the Hynudai Hotel next door. All in all, I would recommend the hotel to travellers who want a quiet and lovely place to stay with minimum facilities.

Great hotel and service”

We really enjoyed our stay at The Suite Hotel. The room was quite big and clean. We loved the spacious bathroom and tub. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our purpose of the trip was to relax and unwind, so the quiet peaceful environment at The Suite Hotel was perfect. We will definitely go back.

had a great stay at the suite hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was very big and new. the bathroom was also very big and had separate areas for toilet, shower (with roman showers) and a bath-tub which looks more like a jaccuzi. the room was also sound-proof. felt as if the whole hotel was for me only. great view and beautiful surroundings.

Great location”

the hotel has free internet access which is good if you need to be online every night to check emails (for business) or post your latest photos (for your friends). although the lake is not within walking distance, it takes only 5 mins drive to the bomun lake and 5 mins drive to a nearby area of restaurants.

Lovely and spacious hotel and staff are great”

i like the hotel very much as it is very elegant. it has great breakfast and very good staff manners. they can speak english and provide assistance readily. the only comment that i like to put is there should be a free shuttle bus service from the bus terminal or station to pick up guest to the hotel. the public bus stop indication is not clear as it is situated just before the hotel and you cannot see the hotel. by the time, you see it , it has by passed and you have to walk at least for 5-7 minutes. the bus number is 10 or 700. i prefer the bus stop to stay just in front of the name of the hotel and that will be great.

Peaceful and Restful”

Hotel's environment is good. Quite and peaceful. Near to Bomun Lake, it is a restful place to stay. Room is spacious and clean but the kettle provided is very dirty. We enjoyed the Korean style bed. Near to teddy bear museum but not a walking distance from the hotel to the city center. The staffs are helpful and polite but limitation to speak others language.

Comfortable hotel with beautiful room”

hotel was very clean new and modern. the bathroom was very fancy and the bed comfortable. the location of the hotel was next to a golf course, but about 1-2 km from the main resort area. it is easy to catch a taxi and the location was quiet and peaceful. the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would have no problem reccommending this hotel to our friends.

Hotel in peaceful surroundings”

We like the spaciousness not only of our room but the interior of the hotel. Hotel staff were able to comminicate in English. Not far to walk to the lake so we even went there in the night. Buffet breakfast was the same for both days that we were there.The hotel was very clean.

Very Nice Hotel”

This hotel is situated at the start of the attractions in the city. Very quiet and the rooms are very comfortable and nice. Free breakfast is up to standards. Only compliant is the staffing. Need more help at the front desk. The phone rings unanswered and have to wait on the solo front desk staff as he/she finishes up with another quest.

It was a great getaway for my wife and me!”

The room was great. It was clean, comfortable, and big. The hotel is on the quiet side of the area. If you walk down to the boardwalk, it only takes about 10 minutes...driving, less than 3 minutes. Overall a great place to stay.
