Pristine weekend getaway to Seoul”

I have stayed at Fraser Place Namdaemun and wanted to compare it to Orakai Insadong (formerly known as Fraser Place Insadong). The main difference was the pool and breakfast. Orakai's pool and gym facilities were excellent - 24hr gym with new, up-to-date equipment and a large 4ft deep pool open until 10pm. Even other 5star hotels in Seoul dont have pools this deep and wide. The only downfall about the pool was that it overlooked the cafeteria which was odd. On the otherhand, the breakfast selection didn't meet my expectations compared to Fraser Place Namdaemun. The seating area was more spacious but it was mainly continental breakfast style with cereal, fruit, fried rice, mini sausages, hash browns, one soup, and a small assortment of breads/pastries. The food was not refilled in a timely manner and I found myself waiting several times. You must stamp your parking ticket at the front desk and parking is complementary. I wish the front desk had asked me if I parked there.

This is my 2nd stay at this suite. 2 bedroom with large living room and full equipped kitchenette is totally a love :) Location wise is very strategic with a 30 mins walking to the famous Myeongdong area. There is a convenience store nearby and also the coffee shops around the area. Me and my team have a great experience living in Orakai Insadong Suites and will definitely be back for my 3rd stay which will be a winter trip later! *love*

Great Hotel - Superb Location @Winter Wonderland”

I travelled with my 2 teenage daughters during Jan 2013; we truly enjoyed our stay at Fraser Suites Insadong. It is a 3-5 mins walk from the nearest subway ( exits #4 or #5 on Jongno-3(ga) line 1,3,5). Once you step out of the building TA-DA Insadong is just round the corner! Insadong is a must-see, must-visit site in Seoul, it is not just a tourist place, it is also popular among the locals. With many different types of shop (modern & traditional) and eating places (explore the fun back alleys and be surprised) you will be thrilled. Fraser Suites is centrally located & easily accessible to other parts of Seoul given its close proximity to subway. Nearby attractions are Myeong-dong, Samcheongdong, Dongdaemun & Namsan. The only downside (for me) is that while Fraser Suites offers free WIFI you have only 1 access at any point of time, do hope that this may be improved in the future. Enjoy Seoul~

Fantastic two-bedroom suite, average breakfast”

The two bedroom suite at the Orakai Insadong Suites is great! Full kitchen with dining table, gas stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer, living room with sofa and armchair. Free breakfast is average. Nothing to write home about here but otherwise a great value if you're willing to spend more to live in a spacious well-appointed suite.

We love Orakai!”

We stay at Orakai Suites in Insadong every time we go to Seoul. While the price can be a bit too expensive, depending how early you make your reservations, we will usually go for it because it's in a great location, our kids love the pool and play room, and we love having multiple rooms to make things a bit more easy with our kids. I recommend it highly.

RESORT EXPERIENCE IN THE CITY”

STAYING AT ORAKAI INSADONG IS HONESTLY AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. I GOT A 2 BEDROOM SUITE AND WAS AMAZED BY THE HOTEL. THE ROOMS ARE HUGE, CLEAN AND COZY. BATHROOMS ARE RESORT-TYPE. THE KITCHEN HAS COMPLETE UTENSILS. LOCATION IS CONVENIENT, NEAR THE HOTEL IS A 7-11, STARBUCKS, RESTAURANTS, STREETFOOD STALLS, BEAUTY SHOPS ETC. I WILL SURELY STAY HERE AGAIN. MY CHILDREN LOVED IT TOO!

Exceptional”

We always choose Orakai Insadong Suites when we come to Seoul. They're very friendly, and our kids LOVE the pool. We do wish it were a bit cheaper, but overall, knowing what we're getting and that we enjoy it is a great thing for us!

Strategically Located in Downtown Seoul and Excellent Facilities Available”

Orakai Insadong Suites is extraordinarily nice with numerous facilities and scrumptious breakfast is always provided for each day with no repeated options. Will definitely go back to them if I am travelling to Seoul again.

very nice-looking hotel with great staff ”

this is a very wonderful hotel in the middle of the insadong market. we booked for a three-bedroom and were upgraded to a four-bedroom suites free of charge. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we were stressed out because we could not bring all of our luggages to geongju city, the hotel staff kept our luggages for a few days until we came back to seoul, free of charge. because of this, we were able to travel to geongju via the bullet train. we cannot speak enough how nice and friendly the staff at fraser were to us. they were always ready to help with a smile. the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. we felt like we were at home. we would stay at fraser suites again when we come back to seoul.

The main thing that made my trip great ”

We truly miss our stay at Orakai, the location was great - turn left at the entrance and you're at Insadong, turn right and you're at the subway line. There's food everywhere, you're literally down the street from the palaces and 2 mins (by taxi) from Myeong Dong 10 mins (by taxi) from Seoul Station. The appliance guide tells you how to use everything and the indoor heated pool, steam and sauna is AWESOME

Family holiday ”

We can not fault Orakai Suites Insadong. Spacious clean rooms, comfortable beds. Warm, thermostat controlled heating. Excellent access to subway and downtown Seoul. Obliging and friendly staff.

Apartment living in convenient location”

Stayed at the Fraser Suites Insadong for 8 nights in the middle of September 2012. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious. It also included 2 bathrooms, a large separate kitchen area with a side room and combination washing/dryer machine, dining area and large living room area that had sliding doors onto a full length terrace. Both bedrooms also had sliding doors out to the terrace. The Fraser Suites is located in the Insadong area and is fronted on 3 streets so is easy to find and locate when going back to the hotel. The main street runs along the side of the hotel and the front and back of the hotel are on side streets that run into the famous Insadong-gil shopping and entertainment street. The hotel is literally on the same block as Insadong-gil. Strangely right in front of the entrance is a driveway and parking for 3 cars. There is a wide walkway so enough room to roll your bags to the front door, but strange to see. Right across from the entrance is a 7-11 which is open 24 hours. The lobby of Fraser Suites is large and has 3 separate areas for seating. Check in is done at a desk not counter. There are 2 separate elevator banks both accessible from the lobby, but the first set goes up to the 10th floor, and the second set go from the 11th to the top. We were on the 17th floor so whenever we went to breakfast or the pool, we had to go down to the lobby and then change elevators to go back up to the 2nd floor restaurant and pool area. Our party did not find this to be an inconvenience. Our room consisted of a master bedroom with king bed and a master bathroom that included a shower and bathtub and over sized sink area. The smaller bedroom had a single bed and the second bathroom was off the main entrance to the room. The separate kitchen area had a completely stocked kitchen with dinnerware, silverware and cups and glasses, as well as every needed kitchen (the rest of the review)

Had the best stay in all of my travels!”

we had 5 travellers so we added a bed to the suite for a very reasonable nightly rate. the suite was very large with high ceilings. the bathrooms had lots of storage and counter space. the kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils. we did laundry in the unit so it helped us to travel light. we loved the location because it was right next to the insadong shopping district that has quaint shops, restaurants and tea houses. ssamzegeil is also right there. we walked 5 min down the street to take a cooking class at o'ngo. there was a 7-eleven right across the street from the hotel and a daily shuttle to the supermarket. we could not ask for a better place to stay for vacation. the daily complementary breakfast was fantastic as well. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. i highly recommend this property to anyone who is planning to say in seoul. it is close to many attractions but yet it is a very traquil place to settle for a restful night.

The staff made our short trip very easy and pleasant. I would recommend Orakai Insadong Suites to anyone on a short trip or a long stay. The size of the rooms was great for both!

Great Hotel with Big rooms and Good Location”

My stay at Fraser Suites Insadong was a great one. Booked 2 2-Bedrooms through Agoda. When we checked in , we received good news that one of our rooms was upgraded for free to a 3-Bedroom. The rooms were spacious , facilities was good , there was even a free to play pool table . Location was good near some Insadong Shopping areas . Service was also good , provided us with good instructions and recommendations for places to eat and shop. Overall this is a good place to stay at if you are visiting Seoul anytime soon. I would stay here again if i had the chance to visit Seoul someday.

Great Location with Good Service”

We stayed at Fraser Suites Insadong for 5 days, and have received very warm hospitality from all service staff. The room condition is good and big(somehow a little too big for only two of us. LoL). The hotel security is good, they do filter guests, so you don't need to worry about your safty when you travel. We traveled around Insadong most of the time, it's really a good place where we could have good meals, and do some shoppings. And it's convenient to go further from Insadong to Namdaemum by subway or to any other shopping location.

Great location and facilities”

As a serviced suites instead of a hotel, this residence offered the space and convenience that a hotel room could not. With a washing machine, equipped kitchen, study space and two bathrooms, it felt like a home away from home. Good gym and pool too. The location was excellent, just a few steps away from the quaint streets, shops and bars of Insadong but not at all noisy. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Seoul.

Great Location right in Insadong”

Our stay was very pleasant even though it was one of the coldest week in Seoul. Its great location near shopping and restaurants in Insadong area means we don't have to go very far (in the cold) to do shopping and eating out. Room in apartment style is large and comfortable, with kitchenette if you feel like preparing your own food. It also has heated indoor swimming pool which we wish we brought our swimming gear but it was in winter... Most staff were helpful and with good enough English. It has convenient access to subway line and easy walking distance. In fact after our trip to ski in YongPyeong we came back to stay at the hotel again. We will likely come back to the hotel for our next trip to Seoul.

Very nice accommodations”

The Frazer Suites hotel is centrally located in the Insadong area. We were able to walk to the Market and River Walk within minutes. The Gyeongbokgung Palace was approximately a ten minute walk from the hotel. At the end of our stay, we walked about seven minutes to the bus stop for the Airport Limousine. The only minor negative was getting towels for the five of us. I requested three more towels and received three more bath mats instead. We would definitely stay there again when in Seoul.

One of THE best hotel in Seoul (Great Location!!!)”

insadong is one of the best place to stay in seoul as it is very much near to every attraction. brought my one year old baby and mum in-law, so we needed a 2 room suite. it was very spacious and equipped with basically everything you will need (washing machine, microwave, utensils you name it!) wifi is a plus! (although having only one user log-in allowed is a hassle as a family surely has ipad/iphone/notebook etc.) very clean and still well kept, so it was really comfortable. loved the stay!!
