REAL GANGNAM LIFE STYLE”

I just stay over night at Ibis Myangdoeng in April 2016, then this time I choose Ibis Gangnam for Gangnam trip in May 2016, and everything seems to be great. All standard are meet like the quality standard you might get from Ibis World Class Hotel. It is not the best hotel in the world or in Korea, but best in value money. Imagine the hotel with World Class Standard in a great price, then walk down the street beside the hotel you will meet hundreds of great Korean restaurant such as Seafood with alive seafood, famous coffee shop, BBQ, and etc. One thing my wife really love is it is 2 minutes walk from Lotte Supermarket and 1 minute from 7-Eleven. The price of the restaurant food and beverage aren't cheap like you can except from those cheap area, but with a bit more expensive price you will an expensive quality of food and service. This trip we came with an infant, hotel set a baby-court with no an additional charge. Also handy for a large luggage carry on a Limousine to the airport. Excellent in quality with the great price.

An excellent value for money in Gangnam-gu”

This is definitely an excellent option in the South of Seoul if you do not want to spend too much money on your accommodation. If you are familiar with the IBIS mid-level chain of hotels (part of the French Accor Group), you will not be disappointed by your stay. Quality stay as it meets all the IBIS standards with a plus. Stayed in the past at the COEX/Gangnam Park Hyatt which an amazing and excellent 'boutique' hotel with the biggest room in Seoul. However, as you don't spend much time in a hotel in Seoul, for 1/4 of the Park Hyatt you get an excellent stay in Seoul. Definitely a good option if you want to spend more money on the food, shopping and entertainment and don't mind being in the South business district away for the historical part of Seoul. The other IBIS option is in Myeondong right next to the pedestrian streets.

Wow!”

I was impressed with the room, the service, and the location of the hotel. This hotel caters to foreign travelers and probably is the best value in Seoul. Don't let the pricing fool you. I was second guessing my decision because of the pricing of the rooms, I was expecting to sleep on a floor in some closet, but this turned out to be an excellent decision. I was so impressed with the place I cancelled my hotel in Gangnam and stayed another weekend at Ibis.

Good location with decent size room but small bath”

I've stayed at Ibis Hotels in other cities (mostly for business), so I knew what to expect. But Ibis Ambassador Seoul caught me by surprise in a good way. The hotel is clean, convenient and 'chic' for the price I'm paying and a business hotel. I just finished the business part of my trip, and the final two days for leisure was enjoyable, in part due to a satisfying experience at Ibis. The room is not huge but comfortable with decent view of the city. The only downside is the airplane lavatory-size bathroom that is too small. Overall good experience. 4 out of 5.

Great Business Hotel”

This is a great business hotel, and the Ibis chain prides itself on that point. I would not recommend staying here with a family, but if you are a solo traveller, or a couple, this would be a fine location. The hotel is located in the heart of the Gangnam business district, which means that you'll be an easy metro ride or walk away from many restaurants and shops. The hotel itself has a restaurant/bar (which we did not visit), and a nice international atmosphere. The room was NOT large, but it was certainly sufficient, and it was efficiently designed to leave room for a seating area, desk, TV stand, nightstands, and, of course, a bed. The bathroom was also designed with the same efficiency in mind, and the toilet was one of those "toilets of your dreams" that has a bidet, heating capabilities, etc. (thank you, Japan). Last, but not least, there is plenty to entertain right in your own room -- free Internet access, in-room movies, and several channels in several languages (German, Italian, English, French, Japanese, Chinese, and, of course, Korean). Good walking distance to the metro, as well.

Well located, rooms are little bit of small ”

The room in Ibis Ambassador Seoul Hotel are small but comfortable and clean. Attractie rate for the room. The view is great,the location suberb, just right behind the Posco building, away from the busy main street. The staff may have been the best thing of all. Helpful, friendly,Fluently English Speaking. Ideal place to stay for 2~3 days short business trip.

Great value”

My girlfriend and I have been to Seoul a number of times but this was our first stay in Gangnam. The hotels south of the river tend to be a bit cheaper but are a bit further from central Seoul and Seoul Station. It's about a 30 minute metro ride to Seoul Station, but unfortunately the Ibis is directly in between two metro stops and it's about six blocks from either to the hotel. If you don't mind walking a bit, I don't have anything negative to say about the Ibis. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, had quiet and clean air-con (can be a problem), and the bed was comfortable. The room was small, but nothing out of the ordinary for Korea. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location and service with a smile”

It was the first time that I visited Seoul for my business trip. It was good that I have chosen ibis hotel which presented a good/clean environment, staff with smiling face and sincere services.Especially, ibis provided me a comfortable room after a busy day schedule. There was a famous bakery - I can have my favourite choice from sandwich/cake/bread/set meal/tea/coffee at anytime. Overall, I have no regret choosing ibis as my first choice of accommodation anywhere in the world. So long there is ibis in the country.

Best Choice for Business Traveller”

Ibis is always my choice if I go on business trip to Seoul. It is near to COEX mall (thus it is close to the MRT station) and the casino within the oakwood hotel. Hotel offers high speed internet (really fast), since TV programme has not much to offer, we can always consider to stream internet TV with the high speed internet at no cost! Also, this is the first IBIS that I stay that has the gym & 24 hours sauna (most of the IBIS has no gym) Gym is free for guest but sauna is at fee! Gym provides free running shoe and towel. Restaurant offers limited menu but still offer fine dining. Overall, value for money for Business Traveller (not suitable for couple, holiday makers or family)!

cosy hotel...convenient”

it my 2nd time in seoul after 30 years, but ibis ambassador give me easy access from the city airport terminal to the hotel. it was an early morning at 6am and there's a shuttle waiting for us outside the coex. 2 mins drive to hotel, though we can't have an early check-in, they still tried their best to vacaum the room as fast as they can. staff spoke good english and helpful. 10 mins walk to tube and to other parts of the city. restaurants around and my room rate are affordable. will stay again in this hotel on my next visit.

Comfy room and service with a smile”

Hotel is located in the Gangnam area where subway, shopping and variety of eateries are within walking distance. Hotel facilities are well maintained. Staffs are quite friendly and helpful. Room is bigger than what we expected. In fact, we have a great stay in this hotel and will definitely be back to stay again during our next trip to Seoul.

Convinient location but small rooms”

the hotel is very conviniently located in a business-district of seoul (gangnam-gu) and close to subway (5-minutes walk). entertaiments are also in a close proximity - in coex mall. check-in was ok, staff is very friendly. the room seemed to be small and very dark (blacked-out window and not enough lamp-lights) but was was cleaned well. availability of the hotel gym was a plus. overall i am greatly satisfied with my choice.

Nice stay”

Ibis is another good chain hotel for business trip. Things are up to standard. The room size is fine with affordable price. Free wifi is included. It is centrally located in Gangnam area and close to MRT. That's very convenient.

Great location and Helpful Staff”

Our purpose for flying to Korea is for both business and leisure. The location of the hotel served the purposes as it is and is nearby the various business districts in Seoul, and for leisure, we are required to travel to another city, and the hotel is close to the train (Samseong station) which we needed to take to find our bus. It was also very convenient to go back to the airport as the limousine bus stop is just across the street (KRW 15,000 per person). Coming to Seoul undecided as to the ski resort we want to visit over the weekend, the hotel staff helped us with some recommendations. The hotel also has interesting packages for a little premium if you do not wish to take public transportation on your own. As regards other inquiries the hotel staff is definitely assisting, the hotel has good wifi, and the daily room maintenance is good. There are convenience stores, coffee shops, and restaurant/pubs in every direction from the hotel, so you need not worry.

Beautiful smile staff and clean rooms”

Like the other hotels when i arrived, the staff had greet to me with a smile. Ibis Ambatel to symbolize the convenience and security of using a key card system.The use of smart devices in the free wifi in the hotel is convenient. Many eateries nearby and conveniently located in the heart of Gangnam business, stimulate curiosity about the new food. By the hotel's restaurant and bar haebojin, but obviously that would satisfy me I'm sure, and when you next visit will see.

Best Deal in Gangnam”

This terrific hotel is in the perfect location, 2 blocks walk to COEX and the City Air Terminal. Biggest bonus is spa in basement where for $4 they have a quiet room where you can sleep when you arrive before 12 noon check in time. The hot and cold baths are also excellent, truly a feauture all hotels should have. Will always return to this Ibis when in Seoul.

Affordable and functional”

Our stay at the Ibis was great. We stayed there for 3 nights during a long weekend so that we could see Seoul. It's located in the business section of town so it wasn't very close to some of the more traditional tourist attractions. However, the subway station was only a block away so everything was very accessible. The room was small but functional. We did not try any of the other amenities, so we cannot comment on those. However, it was great to have free fresh water just around the corner.

Great location but small rooms...”

I stayed at Ibis Ambassador Seoul in the first week of November. They didnt have heating started then..it used to get kinda cold in the room..but they promptly helped me with a mini-heater. Otherwise all good with this hotel.

Excellent Value”

I have stayed here a few times however this is my first review. This is an excellent place to stay that is very convenient to the subway station and the COEX shopping mall. The staff are very friendly, the drinks are a little expensive but the food is reasonable for what you pay for. I am staying again here next week and for the price I think is one of the best deals in Seoul.

The Ibis has an excellent location in the Samsung neighborhood of Seoul near COEX. The room was clean and, while not large, spacious enough, and it had in-room internet connectivity and video-on-demand services. The staff helped arrange free shuttles to the City Air Terminal, taxis, and food delivery. Overall, a great value for the money.
