I stayed in intercontinental Coex in Seoul before. Always liked, great experience. Enjoyed it a lot with my colleagues, as we used conference room, and it was good had nice coffee and cookie time. Location is awesome in Gangnam, close to a lots of malls and shopping center. Definitely will come back. Only thing I did not like was that they did not allowed me to collect points for IHG membership, as I was booked through agoda.

Couldn't get any more comfortable than this”

I couldn't be more happier staying here. It is very convenience, every aspect in the room was kept in a nice condition. Also the place was practically on the same complex with Coex and the coex mall. If you are visiting seoul for a conference in coex, this is the hotel that you should book. There are several subway stations nearby so you can easily visit other part of seoul, also in front of the hotel there is also a bus stop that could take you to interesting areas nearby such as garosugil and apgujeong. Very nice stay, would definitely stay here again.

Hotel met my expectations”

Before I booked the rooms at Intercontinental Seoul Coex, I saw a few negative reviews. But I have to say that during my short 3-day stay I did not encounter what these reviewers were complaining about. I will recommend this hotel to any one who can afford a good one. The only constructive criticism I have is that the concierge/guest relations desk could spend a bit more effort in researching what the client is requesting and provide the info or item the guest is seeking.

After a huge disappointing uncomfortable stay at The J.W. Marriott, Seoul, we all had a good night sleep on the comfy bed at Coex-Intercontinental for the first time in a week. Location is also great with shopping, eating and children' entertainment nearby. Though my 10 years old child was disappointed for not being able to use the swimming pool due to the hotel age policy.

Stay in Gang Nam”

It was not bad, staff was very friendly. But staff at Casino was bad, really really bad. trainee dealers with rude floors will try to take your money. There is other hotel, or sister hotel name "Grand intercontinental hotel", so you need to be careful when you ride taxi, make sure you are going to "Intercontinental Seoul Coex" not "Grand intercontinental" They will give you free taxi ride, because lots of people makes same mistakes. But I was wondering what kind of idiot named it.

Reviewed December 4, 2010 I stayed 2 nights in the Intercontinental and found the hotel good. Check in was fast and clear, rooms are spacious and they have all comfort which I expect in a 5 star hotel. The staff is doing their utmost to serve their guests in the best way. Also the hotel gym is one of the best I ever visited. Great equipement with excellent service. Top class ! Though, also a few minus points : * I took the rate including breakfast. Before going to my business meeting, I wanted to grab some breakfast and then jump in a taxi. Though, there was a loooooong line in front of the breakfast restaurant. Both days. In both cases, I could not take the breakfast because the capacity is not enough to host all guests for breakfast. Except if you have the time to queue for 30 minutes. Be warned ! * Prices for a simple drink in the bar are outragous. 12000 Won for a simple, local, small beer. Note that you have to add 20 percent on top. Also a Coke or some water is breaking all price records. Alternatively, take the elevator down and walk 2 min towards the underground shopping mall (direction metro). There is a 7/11 selling drinks at a fraction of the price. A whole family can get drunk here for the price of 1 Cass beer in the hotel. Crazy.

Definitely lives up to its stars, Coex Intercontinental is fantastic in its building, its location, its staff and everything else. A bit expensive but so are other hotels in Seoul.

high class with service and amenities to match”

This hotel is a classic example of getting what you pay for. Although it's expensive, the service and amenities make up for the cost. The service is not only excellent in its own right but rather tailored to the location. My fiancee and I stayed for a few days around New Year's Eve and the hotel had arranged for its guests to participate in the Bell Ringing ceremony of Bonguensa Temple after complimentary champagne and coffee. A small group of guests in the hotel were led by three tour guides to the festivities on the temple grounds and then front loaded in the first few groups to ring the bell shortly after midnight. Reservations for the free tour required only a simple five minute conversation and sign up with the concierge. The guest and concierge services have many excellent recommondations for dining, shopping, and leisure. My fiancee and I were recommended a Korean BBQ off the beaten path a few blocks from the hotel. It was a great venue with friendly staff for her to try soju for the first time and learn a few local words and customs. The fitness and pool area are fantastic. They even have barbells for the serious lifter. The rooms have fantastic views of the city and are modernized with all the digital device accomodations one would expect in a city as wired as Seoul. Anything not available in the room like iron/board were only a five minute call away from the front desk. The Casino was fun and the table limits were resonable enough to buy us a few hours entertainment without losing too much. CONS: The only CONS for the hotel are the prices. Three drinks in the sky lounge will give you a 60,000WON=52USD bill and the in hotel restaurants are equally as steep. All things considered: The quality is worth the price. I'd stay there again.

Pricey but nice”

I stayed for one night at this hotel, and my experience was good. I've been to this hotel a few times to enjoy their excellent wine buffet, and decided to splurge on a romantic Christmas evening. The rooms are quite big. The decor isn't entirely to my liking, but still pleasant. The bed was excellent. The bathroom felt a bit dated, as there was nothing inviting about the space, and felt more like a hospital instead of a luxury hotel. That's one area of the room where the JW Marriott, which I would assume is their closest competition, has them beaten hands down. The staff was excellent, as there was a small billing problem when checking out, but the staff handled it quickly and without any trouble. A note on the location, while it is connected to the COEX, it is at the far end, the opposite side as the subway, so plan accordingly. The taxi driver didn't even know that it existed and kept trying to take us to the Parnas, though luckily I knew where the other building was and could guide him. The breakfast buffet is great. The in-room entertainment was either broken in my room or needs a serious update as the connections to the TV just didn't work. All-in-all I rate it a 4 star stay. Whether it's worth it for the price is entirely subjective to what kind of experience you hope to have.

Great hotel”

I'm going there with my dad and sister last holiday and it was great experience. I choose to stay there because the location is strategic, near to COEX mall even though most restaurants open from 11AM :( anw, if someday I'm going to Seoul, I'd love to stay there again ❤️ The room is clean even though the bathroom looks old but there's tap water to drink 😊

Coex intercontinental”

Stayed twice in Coex hotel of Seoul, beautiful hotel with beautiful view right in the heart of Seoul city. Staffs are very friendly- one willing to show us d nicest Korean spa in town...convenient to go anywhere.

- location is near Bongeunsa Station - Coex mall, subway station are all connected! - Coex mall is really huge...you will get lost but concierge every where - breakfast at the hotel was great...staff are supe fast at helping you - room is nice aswell, got the highest room as request, and check in early without any charge...

Although the decoration is ‘traditional’ , might not fulfil the 'taste' of youth generation, and the location is a bit far from towncenter such as Myeongdong,Bukchon Hanok Village,Gangnam. BUT, the quatity of service and hygiene are good enough to negligence those 'drawbacks'. The welcoming attitude and big warm smile of lobby staff really made me feel at home. I stayed 3 nights, no matter what kind of mess i left, the room always tidy and clean when I came back. Also,there is a mall connect hotel and metro line 9. Even with luggages in a rainy day, we could convenient proceed to the hotel from Incheon airport. btw, if u intend to SHOP, u definitely understand what a mall and a dutyfree shop nearby means, no need to carry heavy shopping bags. ^0^

Great Convention hotel”

This is the best hotel I have stayed in hotel. Great access to Coex convention center, Coex mall, Coex Aquarium, Hyundai department store and a local temple. Staff are friendly and helpful. The business center is affordable with helpful staff.

Luxuary hotel facing both traditional & new-age”

I've sent special requirement for a room with temple-view. It was just before Buddism festival so we could enjoy beautiful lantern decolation of the temple. Room was clean and nice but there wasn't free Wifi service in the whole hotel. Many kinds of meal for bufet style breakfast, taste good. If you want to see around Gangnam area starting from hotel, taxi will be more convenient then subway.

great location with pretty much everything nearby including COEX mall access directly from hotel. Little pricey hotel so I suggest just going to the COEX mall. If your staying with kids, visit the aquarium.

Very very convenient ”

Very convenient to Coex mall. Great for family. Near to everything. Hote staffs are very helpful. Managed to have a very late checkout. And arrangement for a wash up before proceeding to the airport. Have swimming pool and gym as well. Well equip. Will return and highly recommended for all kinds of stay. Book early for 7 days in advance advantage.

Excellent location”

I travelled to Seoul on business and during winter, where the temperatures can drop below -5 C. The connecting shopping centre to the hotel makes it a great place to check out the area, eat, drink and stretch your legs in the underground walkways. The facilities at the hotel are fantastic with the staff always ready to assist you in any way possible. Spoken English is great by all counter staff allowing one to gain confidence when venture out of ones room.

Repeat stay”

This is my 3rd time staying this hotel. It's right beside the convention hall for my work meetings during the stay. And it links to Starfield Coex Mall which has food & shopping all without walking distance. Staff are friendly and helpful making my stay enjoyable and comfortable.
