Nice hotel, convinient location”

we stayed at jamsil tourist hotel with 2 children and booked family room. we stayed there second time. many advantages like good location (10 min. walking to lotte depart & lotte world & lottemart. rooms is not very big. high speed internet via lan cable. friendly reception personnel speaking good in english. they gave us boiler as we needed hot boiled water for baby meals. many mini cafes where you can have snacks. not very good thing: our room was not clean well. dust under bed. we asked reception to clean room better, so next time was more successfull. anyway reasonable price and good location.

This hotel is nice and clean”

my point of view jamsil hotel is a good choice because it is located at the strategic location. it’s just 10 to 15 minutes walk from the hotel to sincheon subway station. this hotel also close to coex. near the hotel you can restaurant, seven eleven shop, dunkin dounat and coffee bean. staff at the hotel friendly, helpful and can communicate in english.

Convenient”

It was very near to the meeting place that I had to go the next morning. Just 1 station away therefore it is a very place to rest for the night. Moreover, this place has a lot of eating place around so no worries that you will starve. The room that I had was very clean and cosy. I arrived into Seoul at 7am and was already at the hotel around 9am. As check in time was at 2pm I left my bags there and went roaming around Seoul. By 1pm I was almost falling asleep on my feet and I checked back with the hotel if they could possibly let me go to the room first. They allowed and I was able to have a good rest before joining the Ahn Jae Wook 14th Summer Camp.

Pros - values for room rate, clean, good hot shower, very friendly staffs as they are very responsive to your request, 10-15 minutes walk to Lotte World & Seokchon Lake, cafe street of Seokchon Lake, underground shopping center of Jamsil Station, plus many small restaurants and bars in the neighborhood, a convenience 7-11 store next door Cons - facility is old, the a/c does not work in some rooms, some staffs do not speak good English (although they try very best to communicate & help you) Overall, I will stay at this hotel again to explore the Songpa District on my next visit to Seoul

Baic hotel. Old but clean.”

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Jamsil subway station. Very easy to find, located on a main road. Check-in was quick and simple, and the room was ready at the check in time. We arrived early and had no problem leaving our bags safely. The main reason to stay was to take our daughter to Lotte World (10-15 minute walk) and Everland (1 hr bus ride from Jamsil) Although the room was at the front of the hotel, it was not noisy.

A nice hotel for sleeping”

- the hotel is not that far from the coex mall or gangnam - a foreigner district far less crowded than itaewon. - the staff is very helpful, and everyone who helped me spoke great english. - their cafe served a pretty good american meal for 9500w: fresh muffin, eggs, sausage, oj, coffee, cereal, and salad. - the hotel room was clean, but boring. since we were only using it as a place to sleep, it didn't bother us. - the bed was a little stiff, but not intolerable. - the tv is pretty old, but worked. - small closet and vanity made it a little difficult to unpack and get ready.

Good clean Hotel”

the hotel is quite near to jamsil station (lotte mart) for stopover to take bus to yongpyong or high1 resort. the only con is you have to take a taxi to the hotel after you drop from the airport bus. overall, the hotel is good and clean. there are family and 7-11 nearby (about 5min walk).

Good location for budget traveler”

Small room but clean”

The hotel's room is small but clean. There are shanpoo, boy lotion and soap in the bathroom. But there is no hot water battle in the room, you may lend it. It's location is between Jamsil and Shinchen. If you have large packages and small kids during snowy night, it will very hard for your family to walk to there. Also there is a few taxi want to take you to the hotel from metro cause it is near for taxi driver. Be aware that the hotel doesn't provide breakfast, it charged us 38000W to eat the breakfast. It is expensive and the male serverlist didn't tell us when we ask for nest day's breakfast.

Very good value fo money”

Nice small hotel with a typical Korean service which is very friendly and helpfull. Big pro for me becsuse it is close to Samsung Medical Centre (SMC). The hotel offers free transport if you book this one day in advance. Rooms are good, although a bit old. Some bathrooms are refurbished. Free wifi is offered and works great. The hotel offers a buffet style business lunch for a very low price and is excellent. Unfortunately no dinner service but there are many restaurants close by.

Nice and Clean”

completely satisfied with stay. although only for one night, the hotel was nicely decorated as well as the rooms. it is considered a budget hotel, but i have seen a lot worse. the staff was friendly and accomodating. the location was fair with many restaurants nearby, but the subway station was about a 15 min walk.

Good for the price”

This hotel is good for the price. It is clean, and the staff are friendly, although their English wasn't as good as some other Tourist Hotels I've stayed in. If you are looking for comfort, you may want to go up in price, however if you just need a place to lay your head, this is a good option. We stayed here because we were going to Lotte World, so it was good for the one night.

room was a comfortable 2 double beds, sufficient for a family of four. i like that it was near the jamsil bus station which we took to yongpyong ski resort.

nice hotel, it is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest underground but the room was a good size in seoul terms and the rooms were nice and clean.

Old but decent value for discounted price”

It's an old hotel but was clean and good service. I got a sunday night booking for a friend and it was 60,000. but I'd never stay for the regular full price

I arrived at the Jamsil Tourist Hotel, had to take a shuttle bus, plus a taxi to get there, once i got there check in was smooth, got to the room, just a simple 1970`s room with internet, the bed was ok. for the price it is best to stay in Gangnam, with better access to night life and the subway.

the stay was fine, the hotel's location is walking distance to nearest subway (jamsil), and lots of cafes nearby. the staff speaks little English so be creative when explaining or asking.

Tiny place ”

Jamsil Hotel is about average, the room is tiny and also its bathroom and tiny closet. No extra space for 2nd luggage. TV is not working, bad cable reception. The reception staff are not familiar of the rate of long distance charge per minute for calls outside korea, hence we hesitated to use the hotel's telephone to call back home. The wireless internet in the lobby is not working, the connection is on/off. However, the positive of the hotel is made up by the courteous and kind staff. The hotel is a bit far from subway station. Walking to subways takes around 10-15 minutes brisk walk.
