Ramada Seoul Hotel, home away from home”

*Centrally located in the Seoul Business District *Close to all the amenities you might need during your stay including all levels of shopping and transportation *10 minutes walking from the COEX Center * convenience shop and Korean restaurant open 24 hours just across the street * Very relaxing Spa located on the lower level of the hotel * Free drinks and food available during Happy Hour on the Executive Floor situated in a comfortable and quiet environment
I had some trouble accessing wireless internet from the Executive lounge but this was resolved by the staff within a few minutes

Ramada Seoul Hotel is located in the heart of the Seoul Business District. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel so you don't need to worry about how to get to your hotel in reasonable comfort and speed. Only 10 minutes walking distance from the COEX Center / Mall and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shopping and night life activities. The subway is also a few minutes from the hotel and is probably the best way to get around Seoul during rush hour traffic. For the budget conscious business traveller, if you spend a lot of time traveling on the road and need a comfortable but economical place to stay, Ramada Seoul Hotel is definitely a top choice. You are close enough to any amenities you might need. At the end of the day, spend an hour getting a relaxing massage in their fantastic Spa conveniently located on the lower level of the hotel. If you stay on the executive floor you can also enjoy Happy hour cocktails and a good selection of food all of which is on the house. Their staff are very efficient and the service is always done with a smile. Ramada Seoul is truly a five star experience without the great expense.

great service at a great hotel”

spoke excellent English, very helpful, attended to our needs

I really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Hotel in Gangnam. Right next to the subway, although when I looked at the Ramada website it said to get off at Seolleung stop, do not get off here otherwise you will walk uphill forever! Besides that mishap we really impressed with staff and their helpfulness. For being a 4-5 star hotel, free wifi would have been great but we found out that was not the case. Regardless from our room we could see Namsan Tower and the room was spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Gangnam. Close to COEX and "Rodeo Street". Not many places to eat around the area.

Small rooms, but high quality features”

Clean, staff all spoke English fluently, good location, high-quality

My parents stayed at this hotel while visiting Seoul for the first time. This was the best hotel they stayed at during their trip, but worth the money. We loved the room, even though it was a little small when the three of us were all there, and the staff was very helpful: they mailed my mom's postcards, helped them get a ride to the airport, and gave us a late checkout. The breakfast was very good -- fresh and well-stocked with both Korean and Western breakfast foods. The location was okay -- a short walk from Boneungsa Temple, the Coex Mall, and various restaurants, but a little hike from the line 2 subway station. When the new line opens, there will be a station right by the hotel, though, so hopefully that will help. The hotel is in the more financial district of Gangnam, so anyone looking for a place near the nightlife and shopping of Gangnam would have to take a taxi to the main strip. Still, a great hotel for relaxing and a little sightseeing!

Great location & ideal service ”

reasonable price, perfect room size for a couple

Since my landing time @ Incheon Airport was around 6pm, my fiance & I decided to stay in Seoul for a night. I chose Ramada at first because of the familiarity of the brand, and its convenience (airport limousine dropped us right at the hotel & since it was located right in the middle of Seoul, it wasn't too difficult for us to take a cab & go out for a late dinner once we checked in). Furthermore, the receptionists at Ramada were friendly & provided service with a smile. The bed & pillows were comfy and large enough (I guess its size was a large queen or king size) for us to rest comfortably. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if we get a chance.

Enjoyable stay in South of Seoul”

    Convenience, Access, Friendly staff

I enjoyed my stay in Ramada Seoul. Access couldn't be better with Airport limo from Incheon Airport to the hotel doorstep. My room got a beautiful view of Seolleung tomb park and Gangnam skyline. Of course travel by car from this area to North Gangnam river can be quite terrible due to the traffice, but the new Bundang line make it easier to travel from North of Han Gang river to the hotel. Reasonably priced. One of the best hotels in Gangnam area.

I had booked a superior room and was given a huge two-room suite on the 14th floor with view over the city. COEX shopping mall is in walking distance. Shuttle bus brings you directly to the airport. There used to be another hotel called Ramada Renaissance nearby (which is now only called Renaissance Hotel), make sure cap drivers etc. understand that you are talking about Ramada Seoul Hotel.

Metro Rail Station, Comfortable Room, Silent Location

I stayed for 6 nights at Ramada Seoul during my business visit. The hotel is clean and so good, very silent and big rooms. Staffs are very cooperative. The Metro Station is just aside the entrance of the hotel, very convenient to connect to Yellow Line. Overall stay was good and value for money when booked through Agoda.

Good value, location for the business traveler”

    Price, location, clean

The Ramada was pretty good all around. The location was good for me because I could walk to most of my business meetings. Also a bus takes you right to the airport. For tourist types the location is not bad, but not great. The subway is 10-15min walk, which isn't too bad, but you will need to transfer and cross the river to get to downtown. There is good nightlife in Gangnam though, about 10min away by taxi. Also there's a Buddhist temple about 15min walk away which is pretty cool and foreigner friendly. The gym was decent, but they didn't have a pullup bar, which I like to use. The room was clean and pretty typical for a Western hotel in Korea. It is also the cheapest Western hotel in Gangnam. The only complaint I had is that internet is 9,000W per hour or 11,000W per day, which is pretty expensive. Also the TV wasn't great if you care about that sort of thing.

    Comfortable hotel with charm.”

Comfortable rooms with good facilities; excellent bathrooms with spa and large shower. Comfortable beds.

The first pleasant surprise was that I was able to check in early. The room was light and airy with excellent facilities. Chairs and beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were spacious. This was particularly true of the large size shower cubicle and the spa bath. There were several power points around the room and a computer on a desk for guests use. The instructions for the computer allowed the network cable to be plugged into my laptop and gave access to the internet without any trouble. Wireless connection was available in the lobby. The buffet in the restaurant was extensive and contained both Korean and European food with labels to allow some experimentation. The a al carte menu was better value if you did not have a large appetite, though the Korean items were substantial and did not require additional courses. There were some differences in understanding of some of the European dishes, but the results were pleasant and the staff endeavoured to make sure we were happy. The upstairs bar was a little like an English club with its calm atmosphere and little nooks with a few chairs and a table. The view over the Seoul skyline at night was stunning. It was a good place for a quiet conversation and a relaxing drink after a long day. The windows next to the lifts give a good view of the park surrounding one of Korea's royal tombs. While I was there a new entrance to the Seoul subway opened a few metres from the hotel making travel around the city even more convenient. There is a post office around the corner and many restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. Airport buses were regularly arriving so both arrival and departure were simple affairs. I particularly appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. They went that extra yard to understand my requests which were not always expressed as clearly as I would have liked so I appreciated their patience.

    Ramada Seoul experience”

Good area (Gang Nam) KAL Limousine stop right in front Relatively close to a number of visits interests Booking via internet (Agoda) is fast, reasonable price and secured-OK In general, all of the staffs I met are helpful and sincere-Very good Those in Exec room enjoy free internet and the connection is just great
Can improve on food choices for breakfast TV channels is too limited Hope the internet free service is for all level of hotel rooms, not only for Exec and above, as nowadays almost all travellers are computer users and carriers, whether for business or for personal Can improve by providing more choices of restaurant managed by the hotel, so some business meeting can be held in the hotel with choices of meal too Perhaps to provide more meeting rooms for those business travellers that may need that

When I browse through the net to find a suitable accomodation for my Seoul trip, I was looking at the area of near Seoul (north of Han river) or Gang Nam area (as this is a new prime area). Looking at the facts, there are actually several choices and they are comparable to each other. But I had a good experience by staying in Ramada Hotel in Guang Zhou a few years ago, and I decided why not staying in Ramada Seoul Hotel in Gang Nam, and since a number of our bussines suppliers offices are around Gang Nam and Seoul city area. The decision for Ramada Seoul Gang Nam is just nice and booking via Agoda is a good decision too. My trip to Seoul is also considered a success. Thank you.

    Nice and decent”

    Upto Ramada standard

The overall stay at the Ramada was nice. The hotel is located in Gang Nam which is less crowded than Gang Bok or downtown. It is very closed to Co-Ex, just less than 5 minutes ride on a taxi. Very convenient if you plan to visit convention. The room is OK, clean and upto Ramada standard. The only complaint here is the wornout towels. Even though it's well cleaned but the hotel should pay more attention to details and should not use thin and wornout towels in guest room. I don't have a chance to eat at the hotel, so cannot tell if it's good.

    Good location and worth money”

the location is near to the coex.

i spent few days at the ramada seoul, which is conveniently located a short taxi ride from the coex and samsung subway stations. the room was clean, comfortable, and looked like it had been redone in the past 5 years or so. the hotel sauna & spa offered a great space to relax. and there's a fantastic, huge park with 15th-century royal tombs right behind the hotel, in case you want to see something cultural, or need a good place for a morning run. there's also a free wifi services in the room.

Almost a great place to stay...”

    Good staff, good breakfast

the ramada seoul is experiencing some growing pains now. the hotel is under renovation, and the newly renovated rooms are very comfortable and pleasant. the renovation does create a lot of noise, as does the subway expansion work taking place at the hotel's front door. when both the renovation and subway line construction are completed (writing as of late august 2012) then this place will be a great option in seoul. until then, you run the risk of getting a crappy old room and dealoing with multiple bus transfers and inconvenient (and spendy) cab rides to get around.

    Excellent in every way.”

    1. Staff 2. Location 3. Hygiene

It was really good, to start with. We arrived by a shuttle bus from the airport, which took us approx. 1 hour+. Traffic in Seoul is getting worse, but that I just a small problem. We arrived with four luggages, so the concierges came out to carry them inside. It was really cold that day, I guessed we had like -1/-2 degrees that day. We arrived relatively too early, so we could not check in right away, the hotel was full occupancy the night before too. So, we had to wait until 1pm until the room was finally ready. Then, we left our luggages there at the front office and dashed out to grabbed something to eat at a convenience store nearby. Opposite the hotel, there are 2 convenient stores and some good restaurants, I would recommend none to go there. After that, we were told that the room is ready. We checked in, moved our luggages and finally could throw ourselves on the comfy bed.
