Can't wait to return for anniversaries!”

We stayed here the night before and after our wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel. Upon arrival they upgraded our room to a junior suite for our special occasion and they time and again delivered free bottled water to our room (upon request) without complaint or extra charge. this was more than made up for by the comfortable bed and steaming hot shower. The location was perfect; a 5 minute taxi ride from both the Gangnam bus terminal (where we needed to meet friends) and the Itaewon area (where we got married. Overall, I can't say enough about what a great deal the Riverside was for the price and we will return time and again when we need to be in Seoul.

Beautiful room, great location, wonderful stay”

Room is beautiful, clean and spacious. The hotel location is near to the tourist attractions of Gangnam area. Great restaurants and bars near the hotel area. Pleased with the friendliness from the helpful staff. Overall really satisfied with the stay. Would come back again next time.

Nice hotel near Garosugil”

I didn't stay at this hotel earlier because of some of the negative reviews. I found that those reviews were unfounded. The interestingly designed hotel is located just a short walk from both Garosugil and the subway station. The room was cozy, but not small, and clean. I didn't have one of the renovated rooms, but the simple layout and white color scheme made it seem like a boutique hotel in New York or London. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were new. No cigarette smell at all (as some of the reviews noted). I would stay again.

Perfect Location, Great Service, But Small”

the location and service couldn't be better. it is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the hottest street in seoul (garosugil), 3 minute walk to the nearest subway station, and is situated right near a major highway. the only problem i had with this hotel is that the newer rooms (floors 12 and 13) are much nicer, but much smaller. the older rooms (floors 8 to 11) are dingier and way too dark, but a little roomier. i opted for a newer room on the 12th floor since i was staying for 18 nights. the problem with the newer rooms, however, is that the windows don't open. so i lived in that tiny room for 18 days without being able to freshen the air. this shouldn't be much of an issue if you're only planning on staying a couple nights. but any longer than that and it gets a little annoying. other than that, my stay was great. great buffet on the 2nd floor, too (although a bit pricey).

lovely hotel”

We extended our stay to a second night so we could enjoy the hotel a little longer. The reception staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. The pool and fitness center were very nice, however the spa treatments, on a separate floor, were pricey. They were specialized, however, with the emphasis on anti- aging, so if you're looking for that this might be an asset. The view from our room was amazing. Nicest "three star" hotel I've ever stayed in.

Each room/floor is different”

Let me warn you. I stayed at this hotel before but the rooms were rather different between two times. They were only a few days apart. The room was quite bad at second time. Air conditioners for some reason were shut down in the early morning (3am) while we were sleeping and starting to lack proper air to breathe. However it was solved and the staff was nice. If you need a hotel just to sleep in the big city, then it's good to go.

Spacious room ”

The hotel has nice restaurants and a lot of people who were dressed up there. It seems like there are dance club and wedding venue in the hotel. The room was very spacious and I liked the clean and spacious bathroom as well.

Details matter”

It's the little things that matter when you stay at a hotel, to make it easy to relax, to find your way around the building, etc. The Riverside needs a lot of work on this. Even the entrance and transition from lobby to the rooms was terribly crowded and confusing. I'm not sure if they are doing construction or what. Additionally, there was no seal on the window of my 11th floor room. So the street noise came right in, even with the window closed. Likewise, there was no seal around the door. And for some reason the housekeeping staff used the room across from mine as a lounge, so there was always noise, talking, right outside my door. It was disturbing. I was disappointed in my whole experience at the Riverside.

Cramped stay in very small room”

My stay at the Riverside was basically characterized by a lot of food smells and noise. Also, the room was an "Agoda Special" in that the room was right in front of the elevator. The room was just above a wedding hall, which jutted out rom below the hotel so any and all singing or music could be heard on the floors above it, and the room must have been near a food vent because the one thing I remember is that my room smelled strongly of cooked food on many nights. There is a night club on premises, but the bouncer would not actually let me in to check it out when I asked. If one needs to stay in this area I would suggest simply staying at one of the nearby local hotels (yogwan, or sometimes spelled "hotel" phonetically in Korean).

A nice hotel, nice location”

A very nice hotel with good services, it will be a good choice if you like Sinsa area. Lot of restaurants around, plus the gym room is professional. Cons: room is relative tidy but a bit tiny; it takes you to exchange a little bit more from subway because it locate in south bank of river.

Great place to stay!!!!”

Unfortunately we stayed at the hotel when they were busy revamping the place. I think when they are done it will be a great hotel. So it will b unfair of me to give negative feedback on the hotel because of revamping. My rating underneath is just because of the revamping conditions.

Just reasonable for paying the lowest price”

nothing actually, it wasn't what i expectation for the hotel. I was staying in a double bed room that was not cleaned and bathroom wasn't good, even the toilet flush is so weak and blocked twise. I should have stayed at another hotel if I had knew all about it. just only good thing that my room was river view and not too far from convinience stores. so much disappointed to stay there for 2nights.

Small room with smoke flavor....”

This was the second hotel where we lived in Seoul. The appearance and environment were a bit disappointed to us. The location was ok and took 5 minutes walk to the subway station. There was a famous street nearby for tourists and fashion people. However, the room was very small and full of smoke flavor. It was a bad experiences for us!

Comfortable & convenient hotel to stay”

Comfortable hotels, good location, easy to get public transport, just 3 minutes walk to Sinsa subway station, hotel staff able to speak English and we requested to change 1 twin room to a triple room, request have been made while check in.

Very enjoyable stay”

Initially the room that was given is super small where i cant even place my luggage. After sharing my feedback to the manager, they then shifted me to a proper triple room that I have booked. It was an enjoyable stay thereafter. It is located very close to subway staion sinsha. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. In addition, all taxi drivers know the hotel thus was easy for us to travel back by taxi at night.

Centrally located and Value for Money”

I booked a double room for the first night of my stay, meaning I booked a different type of rooms for the rest of the stay. Each room's design and condition is different I must say. It pretty depends on how lucky you are. The bed is cozy though.

the front desk lady looks nice but didn’t like me. I am disappointed because i wanted to make a korean friend, maybe she doesn’t like nature face people, maybe. em, actually I wanted to ask whether she have took face plastic surgeons. but this question is too rude to ask. but i said “nature face” to her when i checked out. rude still. i am a very rude man.

Polite and good service”

Close to the bus stop and just a few minutes walk after get off the airport bus. Subway station nearby. Feels comfortable and satisfy with the hotel room ( Bed is big enough ) The only problem is some of the rooms under renovation and a bit noisy during my period of stay.
