i am very satisfied of all. friendly, very polite, smily and helpfull staff, nice, spacious rooms, very good breakfast, big variety of american, continental , sushi, and thai food for breakfast. excellent seafood buffet for dinner on fridays-saturdays, very very good price 850 baht p.person.i like the surround place, it was very safe to stay out late ( i was there with my mother), just across the hotel on surawonge road there is a mini market ( 7eleven) open 24 hours to buy extra mineral water ( 2 small bottles complimentary on your room every day from the room service) or anything else, many massages shops ( prefer the tarntawan massage and spa,,has the most visitors when the others are empty, its very clean and good experienced masseuges, very good prices ), and next to tarntawan t-massage and spa, there is money excange office . there are a lot of restaurants across surawonge road,in 100 meters is patpong street , with cheap night market, many bars with gogogirls and boys ( but its safe to walk through that street ) and the most important it: s near the sky train station sala daeng, and metro station on silom road, where there are a lot of internatiional restaurants( kfc, pizza hut, mcdonalds). it was my second time to tawana hotel, i find it safe, very good price, and for my next visit to bangkok, sure i will prefer to stay again there. why to pay more, to stay on the next le meridien hotel, when you have anything you need on tawana ???

Unforgetable Hotel”

I was pleasantly surprised by the attractive hotel upon arrival. It is located centrally to everything I needed to experience in Bangkok as a first time visitor. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and I was quite pleased with my spacious, clean room. When I wanted to visit Pattaya, they immediately scheduled a taxi driven by a hotel worker himself to bring me there, back and forth, for a reasonable price. My whole experience at Tawana makes me believe that these folks are honestly good people. Their helpfulness alone would be a good reason to return. The hotel also provides free tuk tuk service to and from the major attractions nearby, a wonderful experience indeed. The fact that all my needs were taken care of by the staff made it easy and comfortable for me as a foreigner who did not enjoy the contant haggling of street hustlers, taxis drivers and aggressive vendors outside. In all, I felt that the Tawana hotel was among the top hotels that I have stayed at even in America and Europe. When I come home late at night, there is always food service at reasonable price waiting for me, and the selection of breakfast choices in the morning is just unbelievable. With only a few small improvements, the Tawana will definitely be my choice again next time.

The Tawana the right choice to explore Bangkok”

i consider the tawana bangkok the right choice to be based and explore bangkok, or simply to relax at the swimming pool. wonderfully attentive staff. very friendly and caring. the doormen all ways willing to hail a metered taxi or make you feel welcome when coming back. yes, the hotel shows it age. but you can all so see it as the traditional thai shabby-chique style as when they try to imitate the old good western style. there is no best location in bangkok. if located in the old city it is as for to the night market of papong as from the tawana bangkok to the royal palace. staying in the night market area it is not so close to china town and its markets. the most important is being close to a sky train stop that takes you every where. from there taxis, tuc-tucs or walking will doo. i will remember the the tawana bangkok as the right choice that contributed to a great stay in bangkok.

Great location, beautiful room, friendly staff”

i had a great time at the tawana. the staff is very friendly and the beds in the room were very comfortable. the hotel's best asset, though, is the location. as a young male, i wanted to be in a location where there were plenty of restaurants and/or bars/clubs. there are some good thai restaurants as well as japanese restaurants nearby. also, silom road is not too far away and that has some nice places too. you can walk to the patpong night market and buy a lot of things that you need (or want). make sure you bargain hard! the only thing is that there are constantly men everywhere trying to get you to go to the ping-pong shows or sell you x-rated dvd's. for my japanese brothers and sisters, there is a soi that caters to you. good restaurants and lively bars. it's very close to the rama iv and connects silom rd. to surawong rd. for my gay brothers, there is soi twilight on surawong. it is an alley (or soi which means "lane") that has nothing but gay bars, go-go boy shows, and massage parlors. there is also club g.o.d. (guys on display) and dj station nearby. my gripes are that the tawana will not allow you to bring home guests after 6:00 pm, the water doesn't get very hot, and the fitness center is very small and only has 2 bicycles, an elliptical machine that doesn't work, and dumbells. that is all. i never trust hotel breakfast and i didn't order it here so i can not comment on that. overall, i had fun here and would definitely stay here again. if you want a more quiet area, then this may not be the hotel for you as silom is a party zone. but if you want to be in the thick of it all, there many not be a better choice.

the tawana bangkok hotel is a beautiful hotel with a historical charm to it. entering its lobby makes you feel like you are transported to a time gone by. Beautiful mouldings and stairways with wood panelling just adds to the charm of this hotel the check in process was a breeze and within 5 to 7 mins i was in my room which was cleaned immaculately the bellman explained the offers the hotel offered and how to use the universal remote in the room the staff of the hotel all speaks english very well and were very helpful the location of the hotel was awesome with several interesting bars and eateries within walking distance of the hotel . the hotel also offers a tuk yuk service to the train station and the river . patting market and little japan is just a stroll away. the pool and the restaurant was also good and i would love to go there again soon

Charming Hotel with Adequate Provision - Recommended”

Check in process is speedy, paid cash THB2000 as deposit. Refund of deposit on check-out. No issue at all. Despite all the negative reviews we read, we still go ahead with Tawana during Christmas 2018. We are glad that we made such decision! First impression: this hotel must be old - because of its design. But, dont worry, it is well maintain! Staffs (Front desk, conceirge, housekeeping) are polite and helpful. Room and bathroom are clean. Bed is comfy. Everything in the room is working well. 7-11 and Familymart is just across the street. Initially, we were worry about "too near to red light district - not suitable for children", but apparently, you need to walk about 3-5 min to Patpong night Market. If we do not venture into it, we are just AWAY from red lights. Our worries are too much =) Walk a few minutes to/fro MRT Samyan and BTS Sala Daeng, perfect for our Bangkok city venture. Easy to flag metered taxi in front of the hotel. If given a second chance, still Tawana!

We stayed at this hotel for 4d/3n and enjoyed every minute of the stay. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience of the hotel from the friendly staff to the quality and size of the room. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good with much to chose from. They have a free Tuk-Tuk shuttle that can take you to the underground trains system of the waterfront for the water taxi. I would encourage you to take advantage of either. They are very efficient and the best way around the sites of Bangkok. Best to take the water taxi to see the Palace and Wat Po. Just remember to pay attention to the riverfront stop number uou got on and off of as they all pretty much look alike. Would definately go back to The Tawana Bangkok for a stay.

Safe & good location ”

My recent trip to Bangkok coincided with the looming political disputes causing many of my friends cancelling their trip. However I was pleasantly surprised that the whole atmosphere resembled a big carnival (though there were a few unwanted unrest), especially around tourist thronged Silom. Though a few roads were closed to traffic, I was very lucky to have chosen Tawana as it fronted PatPong night area & traffic & business were as usual. I could easily hail taxis & walked 15 min to Saladeang, the nearest BTS/MRT without difficulty, from where it was easily accessible to major shopping areas & ChaoPhraya riverside. The room was spacious, quite clean & came with inbuilt safe box. Price was reasonable for a hotel with excellent location. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok.

Received a warm welcome upon arrival from the Concierge and Reception staff. My room booking did not include complimentary breakfast. Was given a 50% discount Breakfast coupon for my 2 nights stay. Most major hotels in Bangkok are giving good deals because of the low tourists traffic. So it was great that Tawana gave me the breakfast buffet discount. Overall, the room is very spacious & clean and value for money. A King size bed room would have cost double during peak period. Was upgraded to Deluxe room when I paid for a Superior one. Swimming pool is of average size about 25m for guests to laze around & swim. U can hit the nightspots, pubs & bazzar from 8pm till 1am and walk back to the hotel without taking a taxi or tuk tuk. For those who enjoy shopping, Siam Square, Paragon, Central World & MBK is just one or two stops away from BTS Sala Deang station. Cafes, restaurants and street foods are abundant. Had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend Tawana Bangkok Hotel.

My girlfriend and I spent four nights at the Tawana Bangkok Hotel. We found the staff to be really friendly and helpful whenever we had questions about the hotel or local area. Patpong markets are basically across the road from the hotel and the MBK shopping centre was only a short taxi ride away. The buffet breakfast each morning was really nice as well. The internet and bar in the lobby were a little pricey but there are many other places in the surrounding area that are cheaper. Over all I would definately stay at the Tawana again if I was to travel to Bangkok.

One of the nicest hotel's I've stayed in”

this hotel used to be called the tawana ramada and many still call it that. now it's the tawana bangkok. i had no idea how nice the rooms were. it's a very classy hotel, wonderful service. my room rate did not include breakfast but they gave me a 50% discount card off their normal rate of 500 baht for the breakfast buffet. if you plan on entertaining guests at night, be prepared for joiner fees. i don't know how much. i would return in the future if i wanted something nice. otherwise i'd probably stay in one of the three star hotels in the area.

Wir waren bereits zum vierten Male im Tawana, wurden auch sofort selbst vom Restaurantpersonal und von der Security erkannt und mit "welcome back" begruesst. das Tawana ist eine sichere bank, wenn man weder ein Risiko eingehen noch ein 5-Sterne-Haus buchen möchte. Die Umgebung bietet absolut alles, was man benötigt, Unmengen von Restaurants u nd Geschäften sowie durch die Nähe des Skytrains eine exzellente Verbindung zu allen wichtigen Stadtteilen. Nach einer leichten Speisevergiftung (Strassen-Food ist auch fuer asienerfahrene Maegen nicht immer das Beste) holte das Hotel mir in 25 Minuten einen sehr guten chinesischen Arzt ins Zimmer, der mich in 12 Stunden wieder auf die Beine brachte, wobei sich das Hotelmanagement mehrfach erkundigte, ob man irgendwie helfen könnte. Für mich bietet das Tawana (zusammen mit dem Marriot Resort direkt am Chao Phraya) das beste Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis der bisher gesehehen 50 Hotels in Bangkok

The facilities are good, they can arrange reasonably priced tours, and have an excellent spa. Be sure to request a queen or king bed if that is what you want since they may otherwise give you a room with twin beds.

In my humble opinion, among my dozens of stay in different hotel in Bangkok, Tawana offers one of the best location and luxury, at a most reasonable price. Staff was attentive, and spoke good English. Breakfast was awesome, with delectable selection that not even most 5 stars hotel offer. Location is great and nearly Saladaeng subway station. It is surrounded by many road hawkers, which is the highlight of my stay. 2 min walk to Patpong. Definitely worth a second visit when I return to Bangkok again.

tawana is a nice hotel to stay with good accessable condition ,located in apart of busy environment in bangkok city , the rooms is nice and clean ( I rent two rooms , one was for my children ), walking distance to areas for eating , shopping and sightseeing , the staffs are friendly and give excellent hospitality , helpful.I will put Tawana on my first priority if I have chance to go back to bangkok next time .

Beautiful hotel with brilliant service”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definately go back again. The staff couldn't have been nicer to me, service was fantastic and they were so friendly. Location really good and close to Skytrain station. On my return to the hotel for a 2nd visit, I got upgraded to a deluxe room which had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the rooms had everything I needed. Very very impressed with the Tawana Bangkok.

Enjoyable stay at a really nice hotel”

I stayed three nights at the Tawana Bangkok Hotel having stayed there previously. You won't find better staff anywhere, they are all so helpful and courteous. I was upgraded to a suite which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again but you do need to book early because the hotel is often full.

If you want to stay in a really luxurious Hotel at an affordable price, The Tawana should be your choice. Its central location is within walking distance of many major attractions. The rooms are tastefully furnished. Its Italian restaurant serves genuine Italian food at very reasonable prices and the Breakfast Buffet is one of the best I have ever experienced. Coming to Bangkok very often this Hotelwill be our choice in future

The Tawana Bangkok hotel was a welcoming comfortable stop right in the heart of patpong. From the front desk to the decor of the rooms i was pleased with this hotel. Just a short stroll away is the hustle and bustle of patpong with its great shopping and nightlife. This hotel is guest friendly.

Great Location, Professional Customer Service ”

Tawana has always been a great hotel if one decides to stay in Silom/Surawongse area.It's within walking distance to Soi Silom, Patpong Night Market and the Go-Go bars. Definitely a value for money hotel and relatively quiet hotel given the vibrant location. There are abundant of street stalls selling local fares which is cheap and cleaner than Chinatown area IMO. Most importantly, the rooms are relatively well furnished and room service is very prompt with my request everything I stayed there. Will be going back again in future.
