Very Cozy Hotel”
If you like rustic type hotels, then Rom Po will fancy your adventure. This Boutique Hotel lets you enjoy what ever you are doing in Northern Thailand. I recommend the air conditioned room because it warms up pretty good during the day here in CM now. The shower is hot and the room is very functional with Sat TV, small refrigerator, clean and well mapped with ambient lighting. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, I had three bars and no issues to report. For roughly $39 USD a night, it is a good exchange. I did not get breakfast included, so I could be flexible. Actually this Hotel was good. It is a breakaway from the tradition cookie cutter chain Hotels. But, I probably would not stay for a long time, a few days is alright. Noise: Located off the main road and in a small street. But still heavily traveled. I did take the advice of an on-line review and not stayed on first floor. Camped out on second floor. The Hotel is in good location to the night bazaar area.

Lanna Architecture Inspired!”
Amazing stay! Its a beautiful boutique hotel with Lanna architecture inspired. Since you are in CHiang Mai, you might as well stay and experience the Lanna design and decor and get the feel of local architecture influence. Room is spacious enough for two, comfortable bed,and cool raw bathroom concept. Tv location is a bit tricky as they are using 4post bed and the frame interfere with your tv view..I stay at room 121...this is the best room I would say as it was away from the main road and the receptions. You can opt to choose room 121, 122, and 123, all on the same row. Breakfast was good and filling. The location of the hotel is great as it is very close to Sunday market as well as night market. Tha Pae gate is also within 5 minutes walks, with a lot of cool shops and cafe a long the way. Overall great place to stay. Really happy with the whole thing :)

Very charming Thai style guesthouse”
My first impression of the Guesthouse's appearance was very good. The exterior sprawling Thai style wooden structure surrounded by greeneries, the wooden staircase leading to a second level of rooms, the rustic room decor and the big comfortable looking bed all created an atmosphere that made me happy to be there. The location is good ~ it's 50 meters inside Thapae Soi 3 off the main Thapae Rd which means it's within walking distance to Thapae Gate, the popular Sunday Market, the night bazaar, the Warorot market, and many good cafes, eateries and street food stalls in the neighbourhood. At SGD32.15 per night without breakfast, it's a little more expensive than my stay at Sabai Day in Nimmanhaemin which was only SGD26.36 per night. Sabai Day was comparatively better value for money. But Rompo is still a nice place to stay.

Comfy and great location”
Really feel comfortable and homely. Location is good, 5 mins walk to night bazaar and Thae Pa Gate / Sunday Walking Street. Yes there is a foul smell in the washroom, but it is still bearable. Smell tends to be more pungent in the morning. Room is small but still lovable and value for money. Don't be deter but the "open" concept of the room, when you draw the blinds, it is virtually impossible to look into the room. Overall a satisfactory stay in Rompo.

great location, pleasant stay”
Rompo Hotel is in a great location and has a delightful ambiance - easy walking distance to Old City, night market, other shopping, restaurants, & nightlife. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant food is tasty and reasonably priced. I had a delightful stay. Mosquitoes were a bit of an issue, but otherwise, no complaints.

Out stay”
This was such a great boutique hotel to stay at. The hotel was very clean and the grounds were beautiful, not to mention the extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Can't say enough about this wonderful slice of Chiang Mai, will definitely return in the future

I love Rompo ! ”
The location is perfect, next to everything (Thapae Gate Night Bazar etc...) but in a very calm little street. The Staff is amazing, funny and very very kind and helpful, I had a really perfect time with them. The rooms are perfect and very cosy and comfy. The little restaurant is fine for breakfast and meals, and you definitely have to test the Margarita's made by the barman, so perfect ! If I have to go back to Chiang Mai, I'll go back in that hotel, eyes closed !

Good location and value for money ”
I stayed in Rompo for 5 days. If you arriving in the morning they won't give you room they will say immediately check in 14:00 everything is full. But when you ask again they will tell you give me 300baht and suddenly there is room available what a suprise(not nice so much but it's a way to make extra aprently). Out of that room is clean, bed is hard and making alot of noise don't be surprised. I got a hot water heater and cups.the tape gate is 8min walk and on Sunday there is huge market there it's very nice. If you like to have good massage near you go out of the hotel to wards the tape gate on your left side you will see a tempel and a green sign not big of massage 140baht/hour it's the best that I had. Morning you will get a wake up call from the monks from the near by tempel of the hotel.

A comfortable welcome in the heart of Chiang Mai”
Very comfortable for the price. Staff & owner were friendly and wanted suggestions etc and assisted without hassling/pushing (which is a common trait in Chiang Mai). I travel to Chiang Mai for a couple of days twice yearly (business) and this is the only place I have stayed here that I will return to.

Enjoyable ”
Rompo was really nice. The hotel itself was really cute and the staff very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend these accommodations to anyone who is looking for something simple and clean. Also! The walk to the old city was really easy.

Absolutely lovely wood built hotel right in the centre of Chiang Mai. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff couldn't do enough. Will arrange trips and transports for you and any problems you have they sort them straight away. Room clean and spotless every day. Will 100% be going back there next year.

Excellent location to night bazaar”
From this location, me and my girlfriend were able to walk all around chiang mai. The room was a nice change from a typical hotel room, i especially like the polished concrete floors since they stayed nice and cool.slept like a baby for the 3 nights i was here.

Well designed”
Pleasant stay at Rom Po boutique hotel, well located in a quiet area. The price is quite cheap regarding the quality of the hotel, and even cheaper without booking by Agoda. Only the check-in at 2pm is a bit late when you arrive by the early morning train from Bangkok..

Excellent location, beautiful resort-style decor”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rompo. Its beautiful villa-style decor gives the whole area a resort feel, allowing for much privacy and quiet time. Perfect for couples and solo travellers. The location is perfect and the receptionist Poon was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel for those on a budget yet do not want to compromise on comfort.

It was really great stay in Rompo, the staffs are so helpful. Food is a little bit overpriced. Hotel decoration is very nice and good for photography.

Exceptional”
Mr Beer was incredibly helpful and gave us a wonderful overview of Chiang Mai when we first arrived - allowing us to make the most of our stay. The restaurant is great value and the location off Thanon Thapae was ideal - just a short walk from the old city.

Small gem”
Best hotel i ever stayed! I am so loving the architecture. Exactly what i am looking for, a small gem in shangrilla. The aircon is perfect, the bed is comfy, satellite tv, average water pressure, shower amenities, super friendly hotel staffs, located nearby tha pae gate (sunday market is mandatory) and night market, safe environment. Beware of mosquitoes, plenty in this city. Too bad no coffee/tea provided in the room and price excluded breakfast.

A quaint guesthouse in a good location”
There are so many guesthouses in Chiang Mai it is difficult for them to standout. Rom Po Hotels best features are its charm - its an attractive and quaint guesthouse - and its convenient location in-between the old city and night market. As other reviews have mentioned, the rooms are small. This didnt bother us however if space is important to you perhaps this is not the guesthouse for you. While the room itself was small the decor - a 4 posted king-sized bed and additional furniture - reduces the space even further. The bathroom also takes up more room than is needed however it is nicely appointed and pleasant to use. Overall, for the price we were very happy with our stay at Rom Po.

Home away from home”
Mr Beer, one of the daytime staff helped us so much with our trip planning.. He spent a lot of time helping us with reservations in some of the rural villages outside of Chiang Mai that we wanted to go to Everyone here was so friendly. Beds were comfortable and I liked all the wood as it looked very Thai.
