Great Location, warm staff and nice rooms ”

Most cabs / minivan drivers know Krabi La Playa Resort and therefore should be easy to find. If your looking for it on your own - Google maps will do the tricks comfortably. Had booked a Premier Room, but the management upgraded us to a Premier Pool Access room. The room was really spacious, clean and equipped with most facilities. The bathroom was nice and clean but didn't match up to the room in terms of Deco. The check in and check out facility was smooth and the staff were really helpful. The employee at the travel desk was really helpful and prompt. A small area of improvement, the management can work on improving the breakfast. Unlike the other reviews, I believe they have worked on the spread but it could be better. The location is great too, less than a 10 min walk to Ao Nang Beach / Center Point. Also there are a lot of restaurants and food carts right outside the resort. Would recommend Krabi La Playa Resort to fellow Travellers..

Peace and its rewards”

I had stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort with my family for a period of 4 nights and 5 days in December 2008. As a frequent business traveller, I find that the hotel is good to excellent although it can have further improvements to make it a 5 Star resort. As a family, we liked the place very much because it has the kind of peace and tranquility that most families are looking for during their holidays. The hotel staffs were very pleasant and helpful and we never felt out of place during our stay in Krabi La Playa Resort. The pool was decent size and having it located just next to the restaurant makes it more accessible to the kids or other hotel guest. The hotel is located very close to Ao Nang town and the beautiful Napphorat Beach. There's a mini mart close by and that helps when all other restaurants/bars are closed. As for shopping, there are bazaars and shop just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. La Playa Resort provides peace and it does have its rewards for all kinds of travelers.

Good Stay”

On first day, we had an issue with the room and eventually, they moved us to the other hotel called "The Small" which also somehow owned by the La Playa resort, was a bit hassle for us since we were quite tired. But they gave us thai massage as complimentary, so that's a fair story. On the other hand, we stayed at La Playa from 2nd until final day. I would recommend to my friends about this resort. Great location, staff was friendly and informative, wifi was everywhere in the resort, breakfast was alright (usual spread but more variety). Toilet and room - Clean , but I must say, there's mosquito everywhere even in Krabi itself. Overall say, I had a fun time in Krabi and great stay ! Thank you :)

Lovely hotel”

La Playa was the second motel we stayed in during our stay in Ao Nang. Location was perfect being just off the main beach road but far enough back not to be hassled by traffic.Restaurants were a stones through from the resort and local markets nearby. The rooms are very spacious and clean and well appointed. Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble at any time. The restaurant food was excellent and well priced and buffet breakfast had more than enough variety to meet most peoples requirements. The pool area was magnificent with three pools in total and the main pool boasted a swim up bar which was great for an afternoon cocktail or two. a great stay and we intend returning next year.

Its all bout good location..”

I chose Krabi La Playa for the second time stay just because of the location, very close to centre of street n stall foods nearby by local krabi muslim. Other than that, yes we fall in love with the beautiful of this resort itself. Peaceful with the big blue pool, surrounded with garden view and so eco n nature friendly resort. This time we chose premium room and did not realize that premium rooms are all located in their new hotel building just which is just next/behind the old/main hotel building. Most of the hotel rooms here is facing pool view, perhaps few near the lobby facing garden. Its just feel weird where the new rooms building facing green swimming pool. We just feel that its not jive with the main swimming pool. Lol. During our stay, we dont have much any problem except a little trouble whereby no iron provided in the rooms (even when u asked n call nicely the receptionist)... Trouble for muslim ladies to iron their hijab (to my wife especially)... Upon late check in, the staff in the counter want to charge my soon to be 4 years old son in this coming october for staying with us. I just told that he is staying in the same bed with us, why you guys need to charge THB295/nite (THB1000 if with bed/breakfast). After nice talk, the other staff said it FOC and also the breakfast. This is our 2nd time stay, perhaps they have history of guest list to avoid same or repetitive trouble in the future. We will stay here again for our future visit in Krabi, but please do give us free room upgraded like our first time visit please. Haha. Kidding!

Cool trip”

it's been a great trip in krabi where the hotel room is big and nice. my family love all the 3 swimming pools and it's view around the hotel is very calm n relaxing. the gym is in great working order and the restaurant nice decent breakfast with fresh salads and warm food served. the staff are very friends, even though language is a slight barrier, thy could understand simple english and that's does help when needed enquiry. it's only about 2 mins walk out from the hotel to the main road where we could start our shopping venture and halal food hunting;) entertainment by the beach are all within walking distance and it's indeed a great choice to stay at krabi la playa resort!

Premier Pool access room”

The resort location near to what I want to explore around (Ao Nang beach). Room and the pool also very clean just like what u see in picture. Breakfast still ok for the room price I paid. I have nothing to complain about this resort. Will I stay here again?? Definitely YES and I will recommend to friend or family too. Don't think too much if you are already shortlisted this resort. Try to stay at premier pool access room. It won't make you regret unless u are a very picky person. Thank you so much Krabi Laplaya for the complimentary birthday cake. Love this resort so much.

A hotel with great staff and good location”

The second time I stay in this hotel. It's starting to feel like a second home to me. Here you have a hotel with a great location not far away from the rest of Ao nangs busy shopping street (about 200 m), and the Ao nang beach with it´s longtail boats waiting to take you to the nearby islands such as Bond island, Chicken island and Railay beach. The hotel is located in a cozy and nice area with a pool area, a bar, a massage area, a hotel restuarant and on top of that a small gym. There are three large swimming pools and a kids pool. The food is very good at the hotel's resturant, "Spices". The breakfast, which is served on "Spices" is just the right size for most people. It is a fantastic hotel with a staff that is efficient and professional. The hotel has also a fantastic guide to help you with questions to book tickets. The rooms are very nice, large space and air conditioned. They have large beds but, for my taste, they are to hard. The atmosphere in the area is very convenient. It is kept clean in and outside and around the hotel area. There is free Wi-fi in the lobby, poolside and the bar and it's really nice to sit there and take it easy, surfing the internet or talk to people from all around the world. The overall appearance gives the hotel a super good grade. It's the little things that makes it so wonderful to stay at this hotel. But I want to point out that the service and the location of the hotel are two main reasons that makes me want to stay here again. Until next time.

Good value”

This not so little hotel was a shot in the dark for us having not been to AoNang, Krabi before and was a pleasant surprise indeed. The hotel staff were typically polite and very friendly Thai's and the hotel itself was fine, clean and tidy, The hotel is good value for money and we had no complaints. Although the hotel has a restaurant a short walk will find many street food venders nearby and even more restaurants if you hire a scooter or a tuk tuk to get around..The predominant Thai Muslim local population were quite friendly and accommodating although the nightlife in the area was noticeably quieter which suited us...The scenery and landscapes of AoNang Krabi are breathtaking and worth the trip if only to experience their beauty and La Playa hotel is reasonably close to it all.

Wonderful”

We loved Krabi La Playa Resort... it had great pools, it was clean, comfortable, had great breakfasts, friendly staff and was close to transportation, street vendors/markets, and a short walk to the beach. It had a great garden and was a block or so off the main road so it seemed quieter and cleaner than if we'd been right on the main road.

Good”

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room is modern and big, the pool is very good, breakfast was good, the restaurant was fairly priced (if a bit pricier than what you can find 5min away from the hotel). The location is good, just inbetween Nopparat Thara and Ao Nang. Everywhere around is pretty much just construction, so you need to walk 4-5min to get anywhere. There's a "harbor" just in the main road, on the side of the water, near the road that goes to the hotel (the longboat booth in Ao Nang is not where the boats leave!). Also, behind the hotel (there's a path past the pool where the massage is) there's a street with other hotels and many shops and restaurants. Very useful to know that. I recommend renting motorcycles to fully enjoy the area (just find one that won't ask to keep your passport as deposit).

Great hotel with amazing pool”

Krabi La Playa is in a great location situated just off the main drag of Ao Nang beach so its nice a quiet but also very close to the party areas. We had a pool access room which I highly reccommend. Because it was wet season there were not many people there and we often had an entire pool to ourselves. There were great deals on cocktails however sometimes the pool bar was understaffed as we had to wait for someone to show up. Overall a great resort to stay at in krabi and a fun resort to stay with a group of friends.

Good for couples and family”

Krabi la playa is situated near main road. 10min walk to Ao nang beach. Bit tough to find the location since the hotel name board was old . Breakfast and swimming pool was good . Staffs were friendly. When i was there (june end) it was raining there , they provided umbrellas to us(that was a cool idea). Thanks to the management.

gorgeous thai resort”

this was a wonderful place to stay for my thai holiday in krabi. brilliant location in ao nang, with so many restaurants & shops within close walking distance. the staff at la playa were amazing.

great first visit to ao nang”

The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of both nopparat & ao nang beaches. A good selection of restaurants, bars, street food etc nearby. The room was spacious, and comfortable with good housekeeping & useful in room amenities. The pool area was never too busy, happy hour was great value. Mrs wan at the tour desk was great, she's a great asset to the hotel. top marks to the resort manager, not only did she sort out a minor issue we had, but having emailed in advance we were celebrating my husband's birthday they sent a cake to the room - a first in Thailand ! Well done... we will be back :)

Good quiet location”

We enjoyed our stay at LaPlaya, the hotel is set in a quiet location but within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and markets as well as the beach. The 3 swimming pools were all good sizes with the main pool being large enough that you could swim laps without being on top of other people. The restaurant overlooks the main pool and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The low-season breakfast buffet is not quite as extensive as the high-season buffet but was more than adequate to meet the needs of guests from various countries. The Resort Manager was excellent and personally greeted us upon our arrival. We would definitely stay at La Playa again.

La Playa”

La Playa is not on the main road which at first I didn't like. However, hotel is well within walking distance to everything in Ao Nang. Free Wifi in lobby, and some rooms. Any improvement in this service would be a positive. The Breakfast had a good selection with chefs that cooked on request. Friendly staff with good english skills made the hotel stay fun! I would recommend this if you are planning to stay in Ao Nang for 2 weeks.

Good Deal!”

Second time staying at this hotel and it was very pleasant as always. Staff team is very professional, warm and friendly. Room is very big and the area for the bathtub is nicely done up as there are windows in the wall which opens up to the room. It was not extremely bright in the room, but it evokes a very warm and comfortable atmosphere which we enjoyed. The cleanliness is certainly there too. We spent a lot of time in the pool as well. The breakfast buffet is delicious. It is located centrally along Ao Nang, so there are always plenty of food places around. The nightlife in this area is awesome too. Extremely good deal for the money.

Luxury hotel but value for money”

The hotel is strategically located within waliking distance to the popular Aonang beach. Situated in secluded corner away from the traffic. A smaller La Playa hotel located nearby is more modern but without garden. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast very much especially the bakery and the local coffee. Swimming at the pool was fantastic as it is not too deep for the Asian (1.4m throughout). Free WiFi at the lobby, and pool side was the way to connect. The drawback in Krabi is that there is no roaming for external data service. Visit to Aonang beach is a must. We walked towards the end of the beach where roll of massage units located. The massage was cheap, clean and good. The hawker stalls outside the hotel sell cheaper Thai food and delicious pancarkan. Overall we enjoyed very much the stay in Krabi and the impeccabe service of the hotel staff brought us back with fond memories. We promised to go back again in near future.

Brilliant Stay at La Playa”

Myself and my partner only stayed at La Playa for 2 nights but absolutely loved this place! Had we known it would be like this, we would have stayed longer. Pros: - on arrival, we were greated with refreshments and cold towels - free breakfast, really good variety - beautiful pool and poolside bar even better (happy hour twice a day), and you can order food at the bar too (reasonably priced and really good) - room was very spacious and bed comfortable. we had a poolview room as well with a balcony which was great - location was perfect, just a quick 15 minutes walk to beach No cons! Loved this place so much and would definitely recommend to all. Great vibe and staff were so lovely and friendly, a special shoutout to the poolside staff who were so hospitable.
