Peaceful, calm and great getaway in Koh Larn”

My short stay at the Rest Hotel in Koh Larn island was great. Motorcycle rental was available at the hotel itself for a small fee. One could rent a motorcycle and travel around the island of Koh Larn easily for sightseeing or just to enjoy the beaches and sun. It was close to end of the year and countdown, however the hotel is located in a quiet area in koh larn so not much of a problem with any noise. It was a great quiet getaway i would look forward to again in koh larn. I will likely be back again if i have the time. I would truly recommend the night market where one can eat along the beach, it is about 15 minutes motorcycle ride from The Rest Hotel. Overall, it was a great stay at the hotel.

Pro: - Clean room. - Have a trusted motorcycle rent service. - Free refill gasoline if you rent a ride here. - Free breakfast included. - Staff is the best here. ( I always ask the recp. which restaurant is good. And you won't disappointed. ) Con: - You'll get your room after 2pm. so if you arrived to Koh Larn too soon, you have to wait untill 2pm. ( it's their policy :( ) Recommend for everyone

Great and convenient ”

Talking about the location of this place is very convenient because it’s too close to the main road and you can find any store or restaurant which is close to your place. The stuff at first I think they are fine but what makes me feel a little bit disappointed is because of the motorbike rent they just they just told me that I have to return it with the time 12 PM but I thought it would be 24 hours for rentingSo I have to rent more like two or three hours for exploring the beach but anyway they’re good they will provide you a ride from the pier to the hotel. The room is very clean and spacious my boyfriends really enjoyed it it so much there are television refrigerator and the balcony for each rooms. Of course the beaches are so perfect it was a relaxing time and also refreshing my soul and my work life balance. I would recommend anyone to come and visit this place cause its close to pattaya and also clean beaches you could ask for.

Nice, friendly, good location”

I enjoyed the hotel, owner and wife were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were available and ready, they were waiting for us, even though we arrived late. At the time of arriving to the pier there was no public transport any more, only motorbike taxis, and they did not know the hotel by name, so it took some thinking for them to figure out where we were going to. Eventually I showed a picture of the hotel and the motorbike driver recognised it. It was not very far and 2 motorbikes took us all 8 of us plus luggage on 3 trips each motorbike. The owner was waiting for us and organised rented motorbikes for the next day, however he lend us his motorbike to get to the 7/11, because he did not want us to walk too much. Beaches are not far on motorbike, and we got to explore the island the same way. By the time we were to leave the owner had arranged for us to be taken to the pier by a pick up and he took our luggage all the way to the bat and even carried our luggage into the boat. The stay was enjoyable

impressed with the price of this hotel and the room was big and looked clean enough. only four things i would like to comment on. 1. bed was so hard and stiff i couldnt sleep. 2. curtains were a bit translucent and the rooms all faced one another. 3. breakfast was as i expected except they gave you half slice of bread. not a full slice. 4. Hotel's motor bike renting costs 300฿ per day even if you reached the hotel in the evening. When i rent the bike from a cheaper place, the front desk stuff looked unsatisfied. sorry but it was a lot cheaper...

Pleasant stay in a fresh hotel, on adorable island”

Great stay! We rented a motorbike near the pier, I will recommend that to everyone. It is possible to rent motorbikes at the hotel as well, but it was cheaper near the pier.

After arriving in Koh Larn we found lots of other hotels which were the same price or much cheaper but provided basically the same thing. The pictures look great but in real life the whole complex is just a concrete building, which does have some style but altimately there's nothing to it. The room cost doesn't include breakfast, no one EVER answered the phone and when queried they just said in Thai 'Oh, we were probably busy talking' - What, for 3 days? Hotel is supposed to provide pick up from the pier but as I said, they never answer their phone. Room wasn't cleaned. Bed had some stains. Toilet and shower is like an old traditional thai bathroom but the main room is quite modern?

you can barrow a motor cycle near the pier(port). at hotel(300B) and near the port(200B) when you leave from the island, hotel staff take you o the port(if you barrow he motorcycle there.)

Should be called the "Noisy Hotel"”

Came to the Island for the beaches and to rest and relax, unfortunately the hotel next door had a karaoke/kids band that play very loud music from 4 pm till midnight. Soooo loud could not hear the tv, never mind sleeping. Would never stay here again, very disappointing hotel.

Someone picked us up at the pier ( but it seems that other hotels have this service too ) Our room had never been cleaned ( we've stayed for 3 nights ), so they didn't refilled bottle of water nor toilet paper and didn't change towels at all. I had to pay 300bht before leaving cos there was a dirt on a towel (when I tried to dry my hair with). As I work in hospitality, I've never seen a hotel did like The Rest before. They don't know how to clean white clothes???

Only stayed a night. Hotel was ok and the staff very nice. Rooms are very basic and there are no blankets or bed spread. Had to use a towel as a blanket!!

Very comfortable and staff was always taking care of our transportation anywhere we needed any time!

Adequate but expensive for style of hotel”

Room was spartan and shower was dirty. Basic accomodation. You can hire an in-house motorbike which is essential to getting about otherwise it's location on the outskirts of Ba Nan means transport will be very difficult. The owner will pick you up from the ferry and redeliver you to the ferry for your return to the mainland.
