Travelling with my parents put me a bit behind schedule, and so it happened that I hit Sanghlaburi on an weekend, and yet it came worse than expected. When we went back from dinner, the karaoke machinery was blasting at full power past 1am, followed by a very high noise level until the returning hordes fall asleep, around 2am. I was hoping for a peaceful sleep then, but the blasting started again at 4am supported with all TV's available at full volume. This lasted until 5:30am until everyone disappeared in their cars heading back to Bangkok. The next noise source came right after, although I don't blame them, it were the roosters. As I got no sleep the whole night, I went for the only positive element in this resort, a 200 meter walk to get one of the best locations for photoshooting the old bridge at sunrise. Summary: It was my 4th or 5th stay in Sanghlaburi, but as said in the beginning. This was my worst stay in ten years in Thailand.

Beim einchecken wurde uns ein "UPGRADE" auf einen Bungalow verkauft - neben dem upgrade Bungalow wurde an einem Neuen gebaut und ab ca. 0900 Uhr wurde gebaut und man fühlte sich ständig beobachtet. Wir sind nach einer Nacht abgereist aber bekamen nicht mal das Geld für das Upgrade erstattet.

Sehr liebeswertes und hilfsbereites Personal. Nicht alle sprechen Englisch, aber es wurde mir immer geholfen. Sie haben mich auch ins Zentrum oder zu den Tempels gefahren.

Unterwegs mit meinen Eltern hat mich ein wenig zurückgeworfen in meiner Planung, und so geschah es das wir an einem Wochenende nach Sanghklaburi kamen, und es kam noch schlimmer als erwarted. Als ich was von Agoda bei unserer Ankunft erzählte, wurde ich angekuckt als wäre ich gerade mit einem Raumschiff im Hof gelandet. (Das Raumschiff war eigentlich ein Toyota Fortuner). Promt waren die reservierten Zimmer nicht verfügbar und wir wurden in zwei Dreibettzimmer verfrachted. Über die Zimmer selbst will man nicht nach Hause schreiben, da es aber Wochenende war und die anderen Hotels die wir zuvor angerufen hatten alle belegt waren mussten wir halt aktzeptieren. Wenig später füllten sich auch die Nachbarzimmer, mit den üblichen Karaokesüchtigen Horden aus Bangkok, die gewöhnlich übers Wochenende einfallen.Als wir vom Abendessen zurückkamen, war die Karaokemachienerie schon auf voller Lautstärke am dudeln was bis nach eins anhielt, gefolgt von einem hohen Geräuschpegel bis die zurückkehrenden Horden endlich eingeschlafen waren, da war es schon 2 Uhr nachts. Ich hatte dann eigendlich auf ein bisschen Schlaf gehofft, aber der Lärm fing um vier Uhr wieder an, unterstützt von sämtlichen TV's die in voller Lautstärke vor sich hin schepperten. Dieses ging bis halb sechs, bis der letzte im Auto richtung Bangkok verschwunden war. Die nächste Geräuschquelle folgte sogleich, allerdings bin ich denen nicht nachtragend, es waren die Hähne :-). Da die ganze Nacht sowieso kein Auge zugekriegt hab, hab ich mich auf den Weg gemacht um das einzige positive an diesem Resort zu machen, ein 200 metert Spaziergang, um die alte Brücke bei Sonnenaufgang zu fotographieren. Schlussfolgerung: Ich bin zum 4. oder 5. Mal in Sangkhlaburi gewesen, aber wie bereits gesagt. Dies war das schlechteste Zimmer was ich in 10 Jahren Thailand hatte.
