Beautiful, luxurious, and affordable new riverside hotel in Bangkok”

We stayed at the Avani again on our way back from Krabi/Railay, and were magically upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was amazing! Reposting from my original review the week before: First things first - I've traveled to Bangkok six times and this was my first time at the AVANI Riverside Bangkok. We were extremely impressed by this hotel, and will definitely come back here the next time we are in town! Built in 2016, the AVANI Riverside is a sister hotel to the Anantara, which is right in front of it. The two share a shuttle boat to the Saphon Taksin ferry pier, which is conveniently also a BTS station. The ferry runs every 20 minutes and is the easiest way to get into town. AVANI Riverside does everything right - the rooms are immaculate, the staff is uber-polite, the building is gorgeous, the buffet breakfast is sublime, and the views are fantastic! did I mention that every room in the hotel faces the river? The layout of the rooms is quite nice, and we enjoyed the bath amenities as well as the rain shower. The piece de resistance is probably the rooftop bar and infinity pool. Located on the 26th floor of the hotel, there is a spectacular infinity pool that overlooks the city and is a refreshing antidote to Bangkok's steamy weather. Drinks at the Attitude bar are strong, but a little pricey. We didn't use the spa or the gym, but the equipment is all top of the line and you can work out facing the river! All in all, a fantastic new find in Bangkok. We'll definitely be back!

Panoramic river view”

Relaxing holiday in Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel with friendly staff, infinity pool, rooftop bar lounge. It will be perfect if there is sauna or steam bath. Sufficient choices for breakfast with quality food. Very good Seafood Buffet on Friday. I used eatigo to book a table at 9 pm at half-price. My husband and I were the only customers at the time. Excellent value for money. A small shopping mall at the hotel building provided convenience of some choices if you don't want to go out again by shuttle boat. Only -ve point, promoters for tour package were too aggressive who approached us for cruise or tour package 4 times in 2 days, which made me annoying.

Perfect Stay!”

Avani Riverside offers great value for your money. The hotel is very modern and elegant and it offers a breathtaking view over the Chao Phraya river, Asiatique Nightmarket and the skycrapers of Bangkok Riverside. The perfectly clean room was equipped with a super comfy 2,40m bed and an open bathroom. The rooftop area with an infinity pool and a fancy bar was another highlight. Breakfast also was delicious with a huge variety of dishes. The staff was extremely friendly and happy to help with anything. Since the hotel is somewhat away from the center, there is a free hotel shuttle boat to Sathorn Pier. From there you can go anywhere by BTS or by boat. Close to the pier there are also lots of food stalls and authentic restaurants. All in all it was a great experience and we can really recommend this hotel!

Wonderful stay”

The Avani+ Riverside is a great hotel. Our room was spacious with a great view down the river. I loved the open and spacious bathroom with plenty of room and storage space. The restaurant is in a lovely setting with a view to the river and the food was very good. The rooftop pool was wonderful but it was busy. Special mention to the pool guy who managed the busy pool and the many guests well. There were no sun lounges when we went to the pool and we were given a seat at the bar lounge area and the pool guy came and got us when there was space by the pool. There is an awesome view from the pool over Bangkok. The staff at the hotel were excellent: friendly, welcoming and genuine in their offers of assistance. The hotel is not in the heart of Bangkok but there is a boat from the hotel to take you the Saphan Taksin area where you can take a BTS. A great hotel and we would return.

Exceptional”

Avani riverside is truly a luxury property in Bangkok. They offer amazing views from their rooftop infinity pool and rooftop bar. The rooms were very clean and luxurious, with nice amenities. A free water taxi shuttle service to one of the local public stations means it’s reasonable to get into the more touristed parts of the city during daylight hours. Services and food at the hotel are exorbitantly priced for Bangkok standards. Drinks are reasonable, even poolside.

Good riverside hotel nearby city center”

The free ferry service is wonderful and the ferry comes about 20 mins from MRT station, but the ferry ride doesn't feel that long. The staff gives 5 star services. The hotel is very clean and the pool view is spectacular. The hotel guests comes from over all the world, which i really like about it. Hotel guest can also use the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort's facility which they have nicer dinning facility and a good size swimming pool for kids. I highly recommend this for family have young kids, because there is a child care center there, so the couple drop the kids there and go for a spa or massage treatment.

Wonderful Hotel & excellent Avani Club”

Visit Bangkok with my best friend from US, it's a wonderful stay there & trust that my friend has a joyful stay there, the view is gorgeous just next to the riverside & we enjoyed the boat ride to town center. Must join the Avani club to enjoy the relax afternoon tea & snacks, which was a bonus after one day outing. Definitely will visit again or recommend to our friends.

Amazing Hotel”

Avani is an amazing hotel with its location and facilities. This ofcourse, is if you want to be away from the busy streets of Bangkok. But if you want to explore the city and your itinerary is full, this might not be the best location for you as it takes about 15-20 minutes via the hotel shuttle boat from the hotel to the nearest BTS. Personally, I enjoyed our stay at Avani. The staff probably just lacked the 'Thainess' when it comes to service unlike the many other hotels I've tried in Bangkok

Truly wonderful”

We chose this brand new hotel for our 2-day "staycation" wanting an escape from the noisy part of Bangkok we live in and boy did we make the right choice. From the heavenly bed (probably the most comfortable I'd ever slept on) to their 5-star service especially from the concierge staff who were always so courteous and helpful - this hotel is off to a great start. This interior is bright and modern throughout with stunning views of the Chao Praya river also and the infinity pool is not to be missed! The shuttle boat to/from Anantara that's open to Avani guests is a nice touch too. Overall, this is the perfect, most relaxing place for locals or tourists who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok while still being close enough to see its beauty.

Everything is perfect. Even though location is riversid, they provide sttule boat to Saphantaksin BTS station ! It is useful ;) Thank Avani hotel for high-quaility service . If i go to Bangkok again , i will stay here one more !

Good place to stay at, the hospitality at the front desk could have been better. ”

Avani Riverside is a good place to stay at if you want to be slightly away from the bustling area of Siam. The hotel boasts a good view, and is clean. The bed is comfortable, and the 24-hour gym looks decent. The rooftop pool and bar has a stunning view, however it is often crowded. That bring me to the point that this hotel seems to be very popular, and is a little too crowded for someone who would prefer a quieter environment. We had a small run-in with the front desk while checking in, and the service staff was taking a rather difficult attitude with us. Nevertheless, she settled our request, and got us into our room. That being said, all the difficult time between the staff and us could have been avoided. The run-in right at the start during check-in marred the experience of an otherwise good hotel. For completeness, the housekeeping staff were very efficient and attentive to our needs, which we appreciate. The shuttle boat service was lovely as well.

Relaxing Stay”

Elegance is the word to describe Avani+. The Bell Hops at The Conceige Lobby on Level 1 greets guests with warm smiles who will attend to your luggage while you head up to Level 11 for check-in. Front Desk at Level 11 is efficient and within minutes, my key-card is ready and one of the staff escorted me to the siute. The Suite is well appointed with a spectacular view of the Choa Praya River. In-room amenities spoils the guests with over indulgence. The adjacent shopping mall, though small offers a variety of unique shops and services that carters well to tourist. Attitude at the top floor of the hotel is my favorite. Usually my dinner in Bangkok last night will be here. Skyline at Level 11 offers both local and international crusine with warm service and smart presentation. My favorite hotel to un-wind and recharge before heading back home .

Greqt place to rejuvenate after days of shopping in bkk”

2nd time stay in Avani Riverside . Staffs are all geniune and forthcoming in their customer service, from the moment you stepped into the hotel to the reception follow by Long Bar, Avani Spa, Attitude and Skyline. We truly appreciate the complimentary high-tea and sunset cocktail which allowed us (unplan) to experience the great things this hotel provides. Went for their detox & redefine full body massage and was given couple room for us. Very clean and tranquilize atmosphere with great staffs to accommodate to our individual needs. Overall this is a highly recommended hotel along the riverside.

She made me feel right at home with ATTITUDE”

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning from the moment you arrive to the rooftop Infinity Pool! The views were amazing including the one's at the poolside :) But watch for that first step getting in; it's very slippery and I fell on my ass! I wish I had the video! I'd Youtube that so fast. Everyone loves Schadenfreude! The views from every room are stunning. The bed is so comfortable and the pillows are large and in many choices; they give you alot and in various sizes too. I have a bad back and didn't sleep well my entire trip until the AVANI Hotel! I was able to sleep late because the room reminded me of home; luxurious and comfortable. The plumbing was all western style so no bad smell anywhere and the shower pressure was great. A large rain shower nozzle overhead or a regular hand shower; your choice! Pete, Dong were very helpful recommending a great night market to get wonderful buys since the other market that was closer had already closed down for the night. I found great deals there and it was much cooler, so the heat was bearable. The ATTITUDE restaurant had a very specific waitress that made me feel like I was home in Philadelphia or NYC, since she had so much of it. ATTiTude that is. She was the only negative we encountered throughout our entire vacation. Maybe she's gearing up her attitude for NYC. You'll fit right in girl! Pete, Dong were very helpful recommending a great night market to get wonderful buys since the other market that was closer had already closed down for the night. I found great deals there and it was much cooler to shop at night when the heat was somewhat bearable.

Exceptional”

My boyfriend and I stayed here 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful to any questions or needs we had. The breakfast was amazing and changed a little bit every day to keep things interesting. Location was pretty good. We used the free ferry service a couple times so we could use the BTS and MRT which get you to most attractions you might want. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Bangkok. Will definately be considering Avani hotels in the future.

Very swanky hotel, pricey for Thailand but great value coming from England! ”

We paid £125 per night for a river view, absolutely stunning room, very very expensive for Thailand but we knew we would want somewhere great to stay after the craziness of Bangkok! Super clean, comfy and very posh, we would never afford this type of room or hotel in England! Beautiful infinity pool but very chilly Pricey drinks for Thailand Gorgeous views Staff are very helpful with good English Breakfast was very varied to suit every taste, buffet style but regularly replenished Robes and slippers complimentary Complimentary boat to Sathon Pier very helpful and a lovely way to travel to get to the sights of Bangkok 20 min taxi from hotel to city centre Overall we cannot fault our stay, if you want a slice of luxury for London Premier Inn prices, this is the place!

Avani Riverside exceed expectation. the receptionist, Mr ORG is a perfect guy bring you through all details of the hotel. GOOD location, a shuttle ferry bring you to the nearest BTS. GOOD food GOOD service. i will go back again.

Rooftop Bar Infinit Pool 👍🏼”

After visiting a lot of other hotels on this trip to Bangkok, I‘d say this is the most modern hotel on the riverside. Food and drinks at rooftop are definitely amongst the best, what is the best are the DJ‘s playing the best tunes of all rooftops, on Sunday and Monday from 6 pm to 9 pm they do have live Saxo player👍🏼👍🏼

Wonderful stay at the Avani”

We stayed at the Avani for 7 nights in June and enjoyed every minute of out time there. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel and think it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything is good at this hotel but the thing that really stood out for us was the staff, they are helpful, friendly, efficient, imaculatly groomed and both male and female seemed to have been picked for the job because they are handsome and beautiful people. Easy on the eye. The pool, seating area, bar and restaurant are all located on the 26th floor and is just a really nice place to spend your time. Below the hotel is a Mall with shops, restaurants and coffee shops. There is a regular Shuttle boat to the BTS and it takes about 1 hour to get from the Hotel to Sukhumvit or the big Malls like Central world. We loved the hotel Avani and are already planning our next stay in February
