Exceptional”

All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were also very good with young children. The hotel looks better in real life than in the photos. Location is perfect where it is within walking distance to the mall yet on the quiet end of Chaweng Beach which is more suitable for families. We had a walk down the beach and agree that Banana Fan Sea Resort looks the best amongst the beachfront hotels. We had a wonderful time there and will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone travelling to Koh Samui!

A must stay”

My wife and I stayed here at the end of our 3 week trip for our honeymoon. Banana Fan Sea Resort surpassed our expectations. The location was perfect situated towards south Chaweng beach which was much nicer being away from the loud and busy bars and clubs further north, though an easy walk. The food and beverages were some of the best we had our whole trip. The staff were fantastic. We slept like rocks on our king size bed and the room was cleaned twice daily. We rented a scooter through the resort and went to a nearby yoga retreat in the mornings. The included breakfast was totally worth it. Bill, one of the managers, knew us by name and was incredibly kind and thoughtful. He organized a taxi for us to the airport for a good rate. We hope to return in the future. Also, the pool/restaurant area was renovated 1 year ago and is beautiful! Some of the google photos are outdated.

The Best I ever been”

Before my travel I made a lot of research and I found out that all the reviews on Banana were great. Let me tell you something, the reviews don't say everything. Banana Fan Sea is a great place! Banana is the best hotels of it category that I ever been. Starting with the employees, they are the best! And finishing with the location...everything was amazing. We didn't eat anywhere else. The food at the hotel restaurant, Baitong restaurant, is incredible! In one word everything was AMAZING!! Please keep up the great job. As far as I'm concerne, I will definitely be back and advise my friends to stay in Banana Fan Sea. Thanks to all the staff, really everyone of you, you are and were amazing! CONGRATULATION!!!!

Amazing hotel, directly located at a beautiful beach, Breakfast and Dinner were delicious! ”

After almost two weeks in Thailand we came to Banana Fan Resort and we enjoyed it so much, if not it was the best part of our whole vacation! The staff is so nice and helpful, the resort is so beautiful! Great beach directly in front of the hotel, pool with ocean-view, Dinner at the beach was just perfect - and not pricy! Breakfast was great and not to talk about the rooms... so pretty, 2 times cleaned a day, indoor and outdoor shower... simply WOW!! We will definately come back.

Like coming home!”

This was my second time at Banana Fan Sea and It felt like "Coming Home!" the staff is very friendly and they always call you by name when they see you! it is a "small-ish" resort so they tend to know all the guests! The beach area is great! I highly recommend it!

The Best Hotel We Have Ever Stayed In”

Banana is a wonder option for holiday! Cozy decorations, clean beddings and rooms, and super super great service! All rooms are separated houses, which strongly increased the feeling of being on holiday. A lot of guests in the resort are long-term guests, who stay in the hotel for weeks or even 1-2 months and spend the majority of their time just staying in the hotel and on it's private beach. The beach was indeed great! During our visit, half of the hotel was getting refurnished. The construction was expected to be completed by the end of May 2019. Upon completion, all rooms would be renewed. We will definately choose Banana again!!!

Lovely hotel on a beautiful beach”

This was the first time we have stayed in Banana Fan Sea since it was completely remodelled. We had stayed there several times before the changes. This is a lovely hotel on a beautiful beach with nicely landscaped gardens. The rooms are comfortable and we were made to feel welcome. If we were to make one criticism though it would be - a little of the original charm has been lost as a result of the changes made.

Great Thai hospitality”

We spent 5 nights at Banana Fan Sea. Staff looked after us in every aspect - accommodation, food, swimming, booking other activities, anti-mosquito ... everything. We would love to stay with them again. Highly recommend to other travellers.

Brilliant Christmas Stay!”

We stayed at Banana Fan over Christmas and we are so glad that we chose this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are really well kept and the decorations were beautiful. Our room was spacious and bright. We did have trouble getting hot water in the indoor shower at times though.

Good value old 4 star resort at central location and beachfront”

1. Location: beachfront and in Chaweng Road (center of nightlife and restaurants) although a bit on the end side (10 mins . walk to central Chaweng). Can stay by the beach or the pool. Waves/ current, however, was always on red flag, but you can still swim just don't go far. 2. Room quality: bit old already, but well maintained and clean. Room are spacious ( a big plus); good for families. Have villas with porch. Traditional wood design. Good bed; soft. Cable TV, blow-dry, safety deposit box. No mini ref. Hot and cold shower. Water pressure, however, could be stronger. Aircon can keep on whole day even when out. Free water bottles, coffee/ tea, and welcome fruit basket. Toiletries also provided. 3. Facility: nice pool overlooking the ocean; massage by the beach at 300 bhat only, restaurant, tour booking, airport transfer at 300 bhat (airport 15 mins. away only) 4. wifi: very strong in the room or common areas 5. breakfast: wide choice with fresh watermelon smoothie; average quality (chef at egg station could be more friendly) 6. Staff: very friendly and smiling, especially concierge, check in & asst manager. the restaurant staff, however, can improve. 7. Price: Value compared to other 4 star hotels (beachfront, Chaweng) Overall: met my expectations.

New Go to Spot on Samui”

I love this place. It was recommended by a friend and we have been back as a family multiple times. Samui is a bit of a ghost town at the moment, but leaving this resort isn't necessary. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the facilities are great. The restaurant and pool are right on the beach and the food is great. When the ocean is safe (the resort puts a red flag if too dangerous) it's perfect for the kids to stay in the waves all day.

Great resort with a lot to do nearby”

We were looking for a resort that was on the beach but close to town. This was perfect! We had one of the best beaches and we took walks and saw some we were glad we didn't book. The pool and lounge chairs makes for great views. The staff was attentive and always got what we needed. Breakfast included was a great addition and it was a great breakfast with a lot to choose from. The only small issue was mosquitos came out after rain, but they provide lotion for you which is nice. everything in town is walking distance which made it easy to grab lunch and dinner without any worries. We would stay here again if we come back.

If you’re there on a Thursday the bbq beach buffet is an absolute must. My one comment would be to note that this is a family resort too so if you don’t want someone elses child to be your alarm clock every morning it might be worth keeping that in mind when booking and if possible, specifying your room preferences.

Nice and pleasant resort!”

The resort is very near to the center and other restaurants altho their own restaurant is also good. Unluckily we went there with a bad weather, out of 7 days only 2 days were sunny but it was still okay. The only thing missing is a play area or play room for kids so that the kids will still get entertained even when its raining instead of staying all day in the room. Staff are very friendly and would sometimes play with our little one. Another thing I noticed although its not a big deal, is that all the towels are really old, instead of white towels they were already turning gray and already thinning.

Right when we arrived, the staff and reception welcomed us with drinks and introduction briefing to all the highlights and necessities available. The rooms are well spaced and designed to feel in touch with nature with all the greenery and maximized view for the rooms to see the sea. The pool area and beach has an amazing landscape for instagram pictures and relaxation. The cocktail bar was also a no brainer, definitely tasty cocktails. I don’t remember the drink name but its their signature apple one, I’m sure the staff can recommend. The staff are very attentive and engage with the customers. They definitely wont feel shy to come talk to you, but also not to the extent that will bother your privacy, so don’t worry. Highly recommended to get a beach towel for picnic at the beach in the night and order some pizza. My favorite part of all is volleyball, the GM and staff also came to play with us off their working hours. Anyways, just go, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful resort - right on the beach”

The only question I ask myself while on a tropical holiday is - whether its the beach or the pool? However, in this resort you get both. Infinity pool opens up right on the beach. Nice big rooms, pool bar, good food and good location. Its on a rather better side of the beach. Not too busy and clean.

Exceptional stay”

This resort exceeded our expectations in every aspect - the location was fabulous, the buildings and rooms were in superb condition and well-maintained and the staff are the best we have encountered in any resort/hotel anywhere in our travels. We loved our time at this resort and would definitely return.

Great beach resort with wonderful staff”

Comfortable Thai styled rooms which have all modern conveniences, we had a deluxe bungalow with nice garden views. Pool is less than 30 seconds away. Baitong restaurant serves great meals around the 250 THB price, try the cocktails on the beach during happy hour (5-7) you get two for price of one, the views and atmosphere is free.

Great place. ”

Hotel and staff were excellent. The property is in a convenient location both for spending time on the beach and also to go out for some food. The rooms are clean, spacious and well laid out. A few things about the room, nothing that reduces the value of the hotel and overall rating. The cupboard in the room had a sliding door, so we had not choice but to leave the suitcases outside on the floor. It would have been convenient if they had through this and made different arrangements. We thought the bathrooms not having a hand shower were a bit inconvenient with a 3 year old, who refused to shower otherwise. The hotel was kind to give us a tub as substitute. Food options at the hotel restaurant can be increased, however whatever they serve was very well prepared. Unfortunately, our trip coincided with heavy rains and flooding. We were unable to spend time in the beach. The hotel staff were kind to make arrangements to keep our children occupied, and when it was time to leave one of the staffers drove us to the airport his pick up truck as taxi's were not operating. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
