Good value for money”

We chose this hotel as it seemed to offer modern, clean accommodation at a very reasonable rate and was an easy drive from Bangkok for a long weekend. It proved to be exactly this. The rooms are set out in 2 blocks, which although close together as is often the case in Cha am or Hua Hin, were screened from each other with lots of greenery. Our room had a seated balcony which felt as if it was in the treetops! The breakfast was ok, and staff were very helpful. The hotel is directly opposite the beach, which in August is not particularly busy but must be packed at certain times of the year, if you take into account the number of umbrellas along the beachfront. The beach itself is not very wide or as clean as many of the other beaches we have been to in Thailand, but satisfactory for a short stay. Cha am is nowhere near as large or busy as Hua Hin but preferable to us, so we will definitely be taking more short breaks here and would stay at this hotel again.

after reading the reviews on agoda we made the booking for this hotel. we were not disappointed. the location of this hotel is excellent, on a busy street that runs along the waterfront but the rooms are not noisy. the rooms are spacious, clean and even have a small veranda. we could talk about details such as finishings, but this is a common theme across asia and considering the price you are getting a great deal. having checked out the properties along the waterfront, i think banlansuan probably offers the best package. there is no pool, but the ocean is a stone's throw away. there is no gym either, but a jog in the neighbourhood (interesting!) fixed that. in-room food is well-priced, though we did not try as there were so many restaurants right on the doorstep. breakfast is very good, but as some others commented, if you are staying longer than a few days you will be inclined to check out the local restaurants for diversity. having checked out hua hin as well, we are pleased we opted for cha-am which is smaller and more laid back.

Best place in Cha am”

Love it!. Even though the location is 20 minutes drive away from hua hin. The location is strategic as its near the cha am beach, where u can have street food during the night. Hotel is clean and the design is new. Its totally underrated and deserve more. Breakfast is awesome. Served american breakfast with buffet. enjoy the stay. glad that i chose this resort. lastly, hotel staff was kind enough to fetch me to the minivan to get back to bangkok. rated it 9/10. recommend to pick the upper floor as there is a lovely balcony

Great hotel, Great Location, Great Staff”

wife and i and son and his wife stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights. wonderful clean spacious rooms with free wifi. great atmosphere in the hotel complex and it is right across from a wonderful clean beach. restaurants and food stores nearby a walking friendly area. cha-am is a lot quieter than hua hin so if you want a clean reasonably priced beach respite this is the place to stay. staff were very friendly and helpful. parking within hotel is limited but lots of parking across the street on the beach.

Relaxing beach stay”

Would not call Banlansuan a Resort, as no facilities like swimming pool, gym. Nice accommodation, but noisy sitting on balcony with building happening on-site all around us...but quick progress, so imagine will soon be finished. Staff (English language barrier) and not as friendly to start, but after a few days much better. Breakfast basic compared to Bangkok hotels, but adequate (order bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, coffee, juice from menu). Bicycle hire from next door cheap & fun...rode to draw-bridge, & where fishing trawlers set off early morning...very interesting. Cha-Am beachfront very flat & great for cycling. Many many stalls, cafes, restaurants closeby...make sure go left when exiting Banlansuan as much better eating choices.

Fantastic Hotel Next to the Beach”

Beautiful design with lots of plants, voz y and modern at the same time. Many locals from Bangkok staying here, nice Thai atmosphere. Deluxe room spacious and comfy. Breakfast more than sufficient. Staff is very friendly and try their best to keep you happy. Lack of communication skills but we are not in Hua Hin, so what:) Reservation was not 100% like I asked for and no reply on emails but the staff tried hard to solve it and that matters. Will come back definitely Best Hotel so far in Cha am

Great location by the beach ”

This is small hotel in Cha am right by the Cha am beach. The room is clean with all facilities you need in the reasonable price. There are 2 buildings facing each other with small walking way in the middle. Many trees around the hotel. Breakfast is good, not much as this is small accommodation but it's enough for all guests. Near 7-111, close to cha am intersection however parking is limited. you can park at the beach side they have security and CCTV to look after. I would recommend for short stay and if you look for convenient location.

Exceptional”

Its located in Cha-Am. right infront of the beach. Easy to get here if you got own transportation. Be mind that this is about 50mins drive from the airport the cab fare to get here is not cheap but if you plan to spend a day in Cha-Am this is a perfect choice. Near to Santorini Park (10mins drive). But about the hotel? Everything was perfect from A-Y Downside : No iron provided. I wanted to iron my clothes but they said no iron provided if want then they will send to laundry with additional charges. Breakfast spread is limited. Very very limited. Thats all but we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Would come back if we got the chance.

Beach front hotel”

easy to find as it is just next to the central cha am road. small cosy hotel ,newly built and comfortable. not flash but has the basics. nice rain shower is the highlight of the room. did nt see a pool but the beach is directly opposite the hotel no more than 25 metres away. breakfast is basic but quite ok. not a luxury hotel by any means but clean,well priced and well located if you want or need to stay in cha am. a much cheaper option than hua hin and less foreigners and more thai people in this resort town.

A great escape”

Small hotel conveniently located just across the beach. Easy access to South Cha Am area which I believe is the main attraction area. Lots of small eateries and convenience stores, souvenir shopping, massage spas within walking distance. Has little patios/blaconies outside the rooms to have your after dinner drinks. The only downside is the poor shower pressure which takes some time to get your hot water. Overall a pleasant experience in this quaint little beach resort.

A quick get away”

We went to Banlansuan as a few days break from Bangkok and for this purpose it was perfect, it was a couple of hours from Bangkok, by the sea and a very relaxing stay. The hotel is small but the service could not be faulted and at all times the hotel was clean. The food, especially breakfast wasn't that great, nothing bad just wasn't that much choice. However, with in a few hundred meters there were plenty of places to buy a delicious breakfast, so don't let this tiny problem prevent you staying. On the subject of food, like most hotels in Thailand it is better to try the many great restaurants nearby and certain in Cha Am the fish restaurants. Overall this was perfect for a few days get away, if there more than a few days then it is advisable to have means of transport as there isn't much to do marby.

who like to visit santroini park and Swiss sheep farm can stay this hotel, near there but if u like night market maybe need stay at Hua Hin there side, Cus this hotel location is cha am

Tropical setting near beach”

Big room, very nice setting. Clean and friendly staff. Many eat places and 7-11's nearby. The price is higher than the similar ones in the area. I moved to a five star resort 6 minutes away at similar cost. Breakfast had limited choices but OK. Beach is not really for swimming as most part in Cha Am.

i think it is really nice resort to stay. they are located right infront of beach and pretty much centre of cha am. rooms clean and queit big size too. very nice smile and cheap laundry. if i ever go back to cha am i will stay in this resort again.

Great location and friendly staff”

This was second time I have stayed at this hotel - last time was July of 2011. Very friendly staff and large comfortable rooms. I was put on 3rd floor this time which is not as convenient as ground floor I had last time but still nice even without elevator. Typical less than great free farang breakfast and seemed to be smaller than last year. Good location and great free wifi. Cha am is for those looking for a restful quiet time not a big party place.

i stayed in this hotel almost everytime i am in Cha-am. Great location .. in walking distance to everything ... restaurants and the bars on Bus Station Soi....food on the hotel menu extremely cheap ... good service always with a smile ... to walk on the beach ... just cross the street ... Rooms are nice and clean ...

My favorite of Cha-am overall ”

Pro: Affordability. This is our third time staying here as a family. My fifth time at this hotel. I like the location, the cleanliness, style and the great staff. Calm relaxing area. the beach is right across the street. The con is the breakfast: if you are staying here more than a week the breakfast option will get boring. Two options: An American like breakfast; eggs, ham , bacon, toast or Khao Tom (Thai Rice Soup) As long as I come to Cha-am I will always come to Baan lan Suan.

Beautiful small resort”

I and my husband totally loved this place! Located right at peaceful Cha Am beach, nicely designed resort. You can rent a scooter next door, have excellent massage in local spas and enjoy amazing seafood at night markets. We just wanted to stay there forever! The resort doesn't have its own pool though.

Excellent”

This hotel is very well located in the heart of small Cha-am. Rooms are very nice, the design is very tasteful. Breakfast perfect. I would only recommend this hotel to do something about very annoying and aggressive mosquitos in the rooms and outside as well. The hotel has a free parking in the front for the guests. The rest was just perfect.

One of the Best at Cha Am Beach”

We stayed already in other Hotels in Cha Am. But this Resort with the Bungalow Structure really great. Rooms are very modern an big. The staff is so helpful and warmly. Will definitely come back again (5 person group from Germany).
