    “great location but too noisy at night”

    cheap room rate, great location, near I-site, near lake Taupo but too noisy at night as there is a bar with loud music until 3 a.m. I couldn't sleep at all during my 2 nights stay. There are 3 bathrooms on my floor but 2 couldn't be used due to broken locks.

    “Excellent location, very uncomfortable bed”

    We were very happy with the location, right in the centre of town, excellent for our weekend away. Unfortunately the bed was terrible, very hard and old, so that you could feel the wire. We were pleased to have a shower in our room as we thought there was only a toilet. Unfortunately our shower was not cleaned very well as there was a lot of hair sitting in the drain hole. We brought ourselves a cheap fan as it was very hot. I would look elsewhere next time!

    “Mouldy ceilings, noisy nights ”

    Maybe the worst hostel I've stayed in. The ceiling in the bathroom was caked in mould. It was so noisy with trucks and partying that I barely slept. The whole place is quite unclean, old and run down.
