A rare find near Khaosan”

If you've ever been to Bangkok, particuarly near Khaosan Road - you'll know it's predominantly geared towards backpackers and hostels with vacancies on almost every street corner. If you can afford to dig a little deeper in your pockets, treat yourself to some time at CASA Vimaya Riverside. A newly established hotel in the heart of Khaosan - it's a great position and within very easy walking distance to Khaosan road, food, Chao Praya River and pretty much anything else you'd want to do in this area. The facilities are what you would expect from your typical city-based hotel. Clean, reasonable sized rooms with a rooftop pool, somewhat different from your typical beach-resorts you'd find in Thailand but still very comfortable. I only have 2 negative comments regarding my stay, one of which would be the drunken foreigners coming down the hallways in the early hours of the morning, and the second would be that the room I received was not as pictured when making the booking.

The Casa Vimaya was a great hotel for my wife and me. The hotel itself is quiet, but walking distance to many of the sights of Bangkok. It is also walking distance to the commuter boats which was a fun way to get around. We stayed for 3 nights and spent most of our time exploring the city. We used the rooftop bar/pool one afternoon and loved the view. We also had breakfast at the restaurant one morning - the buffet was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall a great stay.

Beautiful new accommodation ”

We loved our stay with Casa Vimaya Bangkok. The staff where friendly and attended to our needs. If you prefer a quiet room resquest a side room as it can be noisy in the morning. Situated close to Khao San rd. We could not have asked for a better location.

Wonderful place, great for cooling off after a walk around the city. Staff is very polite and gave us a great first impression of Thailand! Did not use the pool or eat breakfast here, but the room itself was exactly what we wanted. Thank you to the staff at Casa Vimaya!

Great location, good hotel”

We stayed at the Casa Vimaya for four nights. We enjoyed it. Very comfortable room; great bed, great bathroom, great air conditioning, and great wifi. Small but pleasant balcony with nice view. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Good location. Great pool. No complaints at all.

Exceptional”

Thought Casa Vimaya was lovely. We enjoyed the pool, breakfast by the canal, and were able to walk to several interesting places. Our window looked directly into a restaurant and some people eating may have seen me get out of the shower before we realized this, but we just thought it was funny. Would highly recommend overall.

Fabulous boutique hotel”

Casa Vimaya is superb. Excellent location for visiting old town. Great rooms and fabulous breakfast buffet. Beautiful and large pool with gym. Notwithstanding the fantastic staff. I will highly recommend this hotel in Hoi An

Riverside realness ”

Nestled between small shops and jewelry stores is the postcard perfect Casa Vayama. Entering the lobby I was immediately impressed that the actual hotel surpassed the images on the website. Pay for the upper floor rooms with a rivier view and you might just want to stay in your room the entire stay. The room is elegant in every way the the bathroom is a marble masterpiece. The king sized bed and linens and pillows were a real treat. Best air con I. Bangkok, and everyone knows what an advantage that is, Breakfast was scrumptious and the Thai food, especially the green curry, was as fine as any resterraunt could offer. Great food all around and some of the coolest food/bar venues I’ve ever seen. Missing my Casa Vayama and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel in great location”

Although the river view is not what I expected, the hotel is very nice. Breakfast was wonderful! Lots to do within walking distance. There is a street that is filled with restaurants and shops that is lit up at night with lanterns and Asian flair. We had an amazing time at the Casa Vimaya.

Great Hotel, Location, etc”

From the time you enter the side entrance into an ice cold reprieve from the and humid Bangkok you feel welcome. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy (even the fire escape stairwell is bright and beautiful) as are the rooms. AC is quiet and wonderful as are the beds, bedding, furniture and lighting. I recommend a top (5th floor) room at the rear for a view over the canal and peacefulness. We woke to birds chirping. Above that is a great clean pool and deck bar affording interesting views of the surroundings. The buffet breakfast served in a colonial style bright and airy restaurant at the rear of the main floor was the best we had in Asia with local and international dishes including bacon, fried tomatoes, toast, fruit, etc and really good coffee. All the while watching the fish feeding in the canal from either the AC room or the open dining area. The Palace and many temples are close by as is Khaosan Road is two blocks away with dozens of restaurants. All in all Wonderful.

Lovely ”

This hotel is perfect if you're looking for a classy place to stay while being in the heart of Bangkok. This is not directly on Koh Sak Road but a few minutes walk away if the nightlife is something you're looking to do. We didn't quite understand this before coming to Bangkok and are so glad we didn't stay on the road. It's also a good location if you're looking to do a variety of things, you will see the real Bangkok from this hotel. We were stuck between this and a hotel towards the East in the area is skybars, we are so glad we didn't stay there as it was a totally different world to the true Bangkok. (However we did visit there for one night to go to sky bar which we recommend doing). The staff are friendly and helpful, the room spacious and clean. We were impressed we found this hotel in such location. The pool is also a great perk as well as the buffet breakfast, people who say the breakfast is poor must want something to moan about, there was so much variety and daily some things differed to mix it up. If we go to Bangkok again I won't hesitate and will book here.

Very nice place”

The hotel is a nice small boutique hotel whose dining area overlooks a canal. The room was well decorated and had enough space for me to walk around. While they did not have a queen size bed as I had booked the room late, the twin room was spacious enough. The area to place the suitcase was also quite small especially since my own luggage was a little oversized. The breakfast was so so. But what made a difference was that the staff were attentive and knowing that I was vegetarian, they prepared a vegetarian noodle dish for me. Also in the morning after choosing a table in the breakfast area, the wait staff were quick to bring me some tea rather than my having to ask for it. However in terms of range of foods, I thought it could be improved. Moreover, I found that the breakfast foods were cold by the time I arrived at 7:45 am to have breakfast. Having said that if one wants to stay in the Khaosan area, this is a very nice place to stay and I highly recommend it.

great hotel in a great location. 5 mins walk to khaosan road. 20 mins walk to the grand palace and wat pho. add another 5 mins boat ride (cost 4 baht) will take you to wat arun. and plenty other destinations near the hotel. we didn't try the breakfast, so we can't comment on that. the room that we had, which was deluxe river view was great. facing the canal behind the hotel with a balcony that allows you to smoke. the room was more than great, after all it was a 1 month old hotel, so everything is still perfect. the only downside is they don't have any car park. which was ok for us. since we love to walk anywhere. it's easy to find taxi and food stalls in front of the hotel. to management: keep up the good work👍

Awesome place”

The rooms are nice, the hotel is nice! The view is one side canal and the other side is the street. Each side has pros and cons. Canal side smells, and street side is not beautiful to look at- all of Bangkok has an odor- it’s not in tolerable and don’t let that deter you. It’s a waft every so often. I’m not sure that any part of Bangkok you would get a “romantic or beautiful view.” It’s Bangkok- street vendors, old apartments. And it’s wonderful here. The location is mellow here, haven’t seen a lot of parties or anything. This seems to be the more calmer area- as far as drunken parties. But there is still a lot happening. Finally, I didn’t know this- but you can’t flush TP down the toilet here! It has to go in the trash, (all of BK). The hotel will clean and take out the trash daily if you want. We did! But overall I’m glad I booked here. It’s very nice and clean, ac is great and food is good too. Breakfast is good, in house restaurant is good too!

Beautiful boutique hotel”

This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. Away from all the craziness of Khaosan, so it was quiet at night, but within a 5 min walk to Khaosan road for a night of debauchery if wanted. We didn’t opt for breakfast, but glanced at it & it looked disappointing. Staff was friendly and helpful, pool was nice and the bathrooms and bedrooms were very roomy and clean.

Great location”

Really pleasant hotel in a great location. Close to tourist sites. River nearby for ferry service. Lovely clean hotel, fantastic polite staff. Breakfast was good. Enough choice for all tastes. Stayed in riverside view room. Not sure about the derelict looking building across the river but nice to watch the world go by.
