It seems to be a place that hasn't been around for long, so the facilities are clean and the location seems okay. However, I was pleased to think I booked cheap through Agoda, but I felt it was a waste that I had to pay separately for the pool usage fee. In Korea, it seems inconvenient to pay separately for pool usage. The breakfast was also not great for the price. The indoor and outdoor pools were good for playing, and while many people were gathered outside, the indoor pool was also nice and pretty.

Advantages: The view from the room is naturally great. The breakfast restaurant also had a good view, with the ocean visible at a glance. The staff's service during check-in was excellent. The soundproofing is really good. The sound of the waves was quite loud, but it was really quiet when the door was closed. The building is in a V shape, so you won't hear the elevator noises, which should satisfy those sensitive to soundproofing. As it's a new building, it's generally still quite clean. Disadvantages: However, the materials used are a bit lacking... The tile finishes and other construction materials and facilities don't feel high-end. The bathtub's surface is quite slippery, so be cautious. Speaking of the bathtub, the water doesn't drain well. It's uncertain whether it's unavoidable or due to inadequate cleaning, but hair from others keeps appearing (this is a common opinion among visitors). It seems to be due to the bathtub, but the heating in the room keeps running, making it a bit warm at night. Also, the breakfast had an inconvenient layout and there wasn't anything particularly tasty, so you probably don't need to eat there. When booking through external sites like Agoda, you won't earn Accor points. And this is a personal opinion, but... when encountering customers inside the hotel, don't hotel staff usually greet them, even just a light hello? The staff member was in their 20s and just stared blankly... I don't expect formal greetings, but usually, when you make eye contact while passing by, they would at least acknowledge you. I found the attitude towards customer service in this regard disappointing.

Everything was great, the location is right in front of a lot of places to eat, and the beach is close by. I was able to relax and eat well. However, in the morning, while I was sleeping, there was a knock on the door and I heard "housekeeping?" Since I wasn't even wearing a top, I felt hesitant to go out, but thought it was fine to just go back to sleep. Then suddenly, a man without knocking opened the door with a master key. When I asked him why he kept coming in, he just apologized and left. The day before, I had eaten a lot and passed the time happily, but it was really disappointing that the staff came to apologize and I couldn’t go out because I was busy preparing. In the morning, I really couldn’t sleep well and felt uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was good.

You don't have to doubt the kindness of the staff. However, the shortcomings of the facilities are a bit disappointing. The area waiting for the elevator is too hot and stuffy, and the pool is quite small compared to the size of the rooms... Overall, I feel that the auxiliary facilities are inadequately insufficient compared to the number of rooms.

“Sokcho for the summer ”
Hotel Review: Sokcho Stay We recently stayed at a hotel in Sokcho and had a pretty mixed experience — definitely some highs and lows. What we liked: • Buffet Dining: The food was honestly really good. The meat selection in the dinner buffet was flavorful, and breakfast had a great variety. However, both meals were overpriced for what you get — especially dinner. • Bar Area: The rooftop bar was stylish and clean. The staff was hospitable and the vibe was trendy. But the view wasn’t very visible at night due to glare from the glass, and the bar’s location (right next to a guest room) felt a little odd. • Staff: Most of the staff were very nice and tried their best to be accommodating — even offering us complimentary wine during a delay in check-in. That said, it often felt like they were compensating for mismanagement. What we didn’t like: • Check-in Process: This was one of the worst parts. Our check-in time was 3 p.m., but we didn’t get our room until 8:30 p.m. Staff encouraged us to dine at the buffet while we waited, which felt like we were doing them a favor more than anything. It really delayed the start of our trip. • Swimming Pool: Big letdown. It was overpriced and underwhelming — just a basic infinity pool with slightly warm water and nothing else. Definitely not worth the extra cost. • Structure/Layout: The layout of the hotel felt poorly designed. For example, it was hard to find the bar, and signage wasn’t very helpful. • Unexpected Incident: One evening, a guest came down screaming through the restaurant lobby for nearly 30–45 minutes. It startled us and was never really addressed by the staff in a way that made guests feel secure. Overall: The experience wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t live up to expectations, especially for the price. If the hotel streamlined its check-in process, made the pool experience actually worth the cost, and improved the overall structure and layout, it would be a much better stay. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5)
