This is our 4 to 5 times at Champion hotel joo chiat Geylang, at the Champion hotel and it staff impress us every time, when we visit there to stay at the hotel, if you are not fussy and not picky the Champion hotel is one of the best, it is clean, nice atmosphere, it has a laundry mat for washing your clothes, which is very important to us, as we need to change our clothe twice a day in a very humid climate such as Singapore all fully air condition rooms too.. so no complains, but stay away from rooms that are near the lifts it can be noisy, apart from that all good, we would definitely stay there again if we are visiting SG, as everything from food galore and transport, are almost at your door step..

We enjoyed our stay at Champion Hotel. We stayed in a Premier Room for a family of 3 and the room was huge. There are countless number of eateries around the hotel and a supermarket, as well, and they are all very reasonably priced. There is even a laundromat nearby, about 10 minutes walking distance. And the public buses will get you to all the well-known tourist spots and shopping disticts like Orchard Road, Chinatown and Little India (Mustafa), despite the hotel's location in the eastern side of Singapore. You will love the old world charm of Joo Chiat and Geylang Serai, where this hotel is located. I would definitely come back to stay here.

Anyone travelling Singapore, this is the best choice with less dollers you spent and more you get. Stayed in various hotel but this one is the best, specially receptionist from Myanmar was the most helpful, sorry mate i forget your name. Local foods available within walking distance. Paya lebar Mrt is close by. Housekeeping guy was very nice. Cons.. do i have to write??? So far nothing i found, Champion Hotel we will visit again and again. $45 doller from airport on taxi, otherwise mrt is available. I was with 2 kids ( 4years and 6 months ) no hassle at all. No bellboy carry your luggage or leave in store room very secured . Thank you From Sydney Nepali family

Clean and spacious hotel, recommended for Singaporeans looking for a staycation place. Pros - relatively large room, lots of eateries within the area, quite convenient to travel by bus, provided complimentary mineral water (2 bottles a day), instant coffee & tea and toiletries (e.g. dental kits, shower caps, cotton buds, hotel slippers), cost effective, if you bring your own laptop & HDMI cable can connect to TV Cons - nearest MRT station (Paya Lebar) is quite far by foot thus may not be as convenient for tourists unfamiliar with SG buses, walls are quite thin (can hear every single noise from the corridor), complimentary shampoo & body soap were not refilled (wasn't an issue for us as we bought our own supply), kettle had a very weird smell Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying here again due to price, location and size of the room!

good value for money as i didnt expect the cuteness of the place plus the room its so spacious for us for all the luggages and stuff that we had. I'll surely come back and check in with champion hotel and recommend it with my friends. The location is nice with lots of food around the area. You can take an uber or cab going to paya lebar station (nearest mrt station) overall it was good. The staff were nice and they give bottled water everyday. There's a grocery (fair price) across the hotel. Thank you champion hotel

Value for money”

Champion hotel is a value for money. Its a hotel perfect for budget traveller with kids. At first, it was kind of hard to see because we just travelled by bus and train and there's a lot of walking going on. But if u be ome familiar with the type of bus and train to ride, this hotel is just a few blocks away from the highway with a lot of stores around. With a very decent bathroom and size of the room, I would recommend this place for a family. Also, we were able to leave our baggage here when we checked out and rome singapore without additional payment.

Pleasant stay in nice area”

Champion Hotel is newly renovated, clean and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. For Singapore standards, the price/quality ratio is good. Down Joo Chiat street is a very nice area in Katong with beautifully renovated shophouses and lots of restaurants and KTV. After some 20 minutes, you will end up in Katong 112 shopping mall with free shuttle service to MRT Paya Lebar. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included and available in the hotel. The nicer eating places in the street tend to open late by 11 AM.

Lovely single room in trendy hotel”

I stayed two nights in a Superior Single room at Champion Hotel. It was quite large, very well designed with lots of bench space, coffee and tea making facilities, mini fridge, a safe to store valuables, a hairdryer and free bottled water. The bathroom with large shower area was modern and very nice. My room was extremely clean, and staff made it up/tidied up by 1pm. My bed was very comfortable and I slept well. No noise from neighbouring rooms. The lobby area was stylish and the location is excellent. Plenty of food options nearby. I will stay again as I was very impressed by this hotel.

That Good to choose this hotel ”

We went to Singapor and rest 2 hotels that champion hotel is the first one we decided! We walk around 10 mins from MRT to there that beside road have the traditional foods and local drink we be interesting! When we saw the kitty room that we choose from agoda. My wife is feeling wonderful and love it so much. All of them are Hello kitty! If we will go to Singapor again we will stay here all trips! (Another days we stay in 5 star Hotel at sentosa that very bad service and bad attitude. So choose expensive it doesn't mean you can get best quality)

I highly recommend Champion Hotel for those looking for an affordable but comfortable stay in Singapore. It's a bit far from the train station but will only take 10-15 mins of walk. Also, the room is not really as small as i thought it to be. it exceeded my expectations! plus, the service is good and they let me check-in an hour earlier! Thank you! Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Singapore

Champion for champions”

The place is absolutely a nice surprise. For a price that we paid, we couldn't ask for more! The staff are polite, and courteous. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily, even when we forgot to press the "clean our room" button. When you go out, there's Killeney Champions, which has been in Singapore since 1919!!! This historical eatery is to die for! :) There's a convenience store nearby, some fruit stands, and more food shops everywhere! And yes, we will come back there again.

Perfect for our needs”

We had a short stay in Singapore arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning. We therefore needed a hotel close to the airport but also the city. Champion Hotel is located just right for that. We didn't spend much time in the room, but everything was clean and the staff was courteous. Good value for money.

Unbeaten in value for money”

I have visited Singapore few times, tried staying in hostels and budget hotels. And I would say Champion Hotel is the best accommodation I've ever been staying in. It's a modern budget hotel with chic interior, even the main lobby and public lounge are "instagrammable" spots. Cushions, linens, and glasses are IKEA-branded. The rooms size are larger than usual budget hotels' rooms in Singapore. Facilities inside the room are complete: a pair of slippers, fridge, treasury box, free mineral waters, coffee/tea, and free WiFi. The hotel even provides ice cubes machine on every floor. The location (Joo Chiat) might be a little bit far from city area. But you can walk 5 mins to nearest bus stop and take no. 2 and 7 bus to Orchard/Bugis/Clarke Quay/Chinatown. Taking bus are better option than MRT because the nearest MRT station (Paya Lebar) is 10 mins away by walk. Though the hotel doesn't provide meals, but you can easily find food around this area. There's a Killiney kopitiam beside the hotel and small minimart just in the corner of the road. Eating houses are 5-10 mins away by walking, most recommended at Pasar Geylang Serai (24 hrs) and Haig Road Food Market. For more fancy options, there is OneKM shopping mall two blocks away. For moslem travellers, there are plenty halal options because this area is well-known as Malay and moslem residence. Nasi lemak, ayam penyet, nasi padang, mee rebus, laksa, satay, roti prata.. you name it.

Better Than I Expected”

I arrived the hotel at 115pm, and I got a room at that instant when check in is actually at 2pm. The staffs were really nice about it. My partner and I are very particular about the cleanliness of toilets and the comfort of the beds. Champion Hotel was not a disappointment at all. The toilet was fully equipped and very clean, and the bed was very comfortable and very clean as well. It was a very good stay and I would really recommend Champion Hotel to my friends who wants to go for a short stay in Singapore, but has a budget on the accommodation.

Value for money”

We have stayed at The Champion Hotel a number of times over the years, would be 4 or 5 we have known it as The Gateway and The New Gateway, it suits us because of the convenience to the Hawker food courts and the accessibility to the MRT...which we find the best way to explore Singapore....you can travel anywhere via train or bus....the staff are always friendly and available, we recognized a few familiar faces from our previous visits....I particularly love the convenience of a laundry in the hotel....We generally stay 2-3 weeks.....the room is basic but is serviced to a very high standard...we have stayed in other hotels in Singapore and now would not hesitate to return to The Champion..

Great value hotel”

Champion hotel is a great value hotel. Rooms are spacious and nice and breakfast is included with your stay. It's a reasonable distance from all the attractions (10-15 mins away) and there is a nearby train station. The staff are all very accommodating and very honest as well. My wife left her phone in the hotel (twice!) and it was never taken. All in all, I do recommend Champion Hotel and we'd most likely stay there again.

I think I had a good time in Champion Hotel .I enjoyed a very nice breakfast each morning. Champion Hotel would be considered a budget hotel. The hotel itself and the suite were of the finest standard but it was the service that step above all other luxury hotels at which I’ve been privileged to stay. I would not hesitate to return to the Champion Hotel really fabulous in every way. Highly recommended.

Chuffed to Bits”

It was much better than I expected. Usually for this kind of price I only get a tiny private room in a Backpackers hostel. Until I discovered this place, I've stayed in quite a few upscale backpackers hostels and although they have interesting decor and are more strategically located, they pale in comparison to the safety, comfort, and cleanliness that Champion Hotel offers at a similar price.
