Where to stay in Charoenmueng
Charoenmueng hotels & accommodations
I totally love this hotel. It's away from the busy city (which is mostly filled with tourists and not much local things to experience anyway) but yet it's just about 5mins ride away. The interior is excellent. From the lobby, to the huge surroundings with very naturally done landscaping which makes you feel like you're living in the olden day Thai lord's house, beautif...
I've been travelling in chiangmai for many times. Gategaa village gives one of the best experience for me and my family. With this affordable price, the hotel is much more than a value-for-money. Nice decoration all around, clean and comfy bed, plus small little things showing the well-thought design every here and there.. swimming pool with extra towel, gym room, pa...
simply the right choice to be based and explore chiang mai, or to relax at the gym and swimming pool / sun roof. wonderfully attentive staff. the concierge was so friendly and caring. he suggested what activities we could do and asked us what we preferred. when i told him that hiring a scooter would be our first choice he called the motor rent. within 15 minutes 3 scoo...
i accidentally booked this hotel. however, i do believe that was my great luck. i and my girlfriend went to chiangmai for a short trip. we expect to stay in a boutique hotel. amazingly, the rainforest boutique hotel is not only a nice boutique hotel which enable to amaze my overseas girlfriend but its room fee is also outstandingly cheap. the staffs are helpful. they a...
Living up to all the best reviews! Quiet and very cosy room and large bathroom. Lots of greens and lots of sofa to read a book or for conversation. Swimming pool is not big but good for a dip and relaxing. Good breakfast spread. 100m to Ping River and 15mins walk to nearby Night Bazaar or restaurant. Tucked in around local houses and small lanes leading to the property...
This hotel is located outside the city in a quiet, jungle-like setting with lovely air-conditioned, clean bungalows. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the breakfast buffet had a veriety of food to choose from. For the price, this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and would certainly stay here again. A free shut...
good an clean. no need to hire expensive. use clean and good enugh for travelling an enjoying outside much better. so u only sleep in good price and clean hotel is the best choice of us.
Rimping Village was by far the best hotel we found in Thailand. I have waited to the end of our honeymoon to write this review because this is our first time in Thailand and I thought that maybe all hotels in this wonderful country are like that, but no, this one is a real gem and you won't regret staying there. We have stayed at pricier 5 stars hotels and didn't get ...
We had a room next to the pool restaurant. It was perfect for sunny chill out. Also very easy to get a cheap cab to nearby malls and attractions. What a great hot vegi ckn asian and continental breakfast. Super kindly staff who will help you 24/7. We felt home with them.
My friend and I were satisfied with our stay. The only downfall was booking a double bed room and getting an one bed room upon arrival. This seemed to be a trend as this was the second hotel during our Thailand trip that switched us without notice. In both instances, they had the same excuse when the could tell we were irritated... "the ac is broken in the double bed r...
We loved this hotel! Check in was very easy and the modern accommodations were wonderful. We particularly loved the bathroom with walk-in cement shower. They provided daily bottled water and kept everything nice and neat. The room cooled down quickly and was quite comfortable. We appreciated the quiet location. It was an easy walk to a main street were you could flag d...
The staff was amazing! I’ve booked a Family suite and they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite for free. It was great, the room is beautiful, the little pond in front of the room and all the gardens made us feel like we weren’t in the city, it was so nice! The hotel is not far from the old city and they provide transportation to the night bazar. For us the location was g...
I loved this new clean comfortable quiet hotel in Changmai. If i could give more stars i would. Nicest hotel i stayed in while visiting Khon Kaen and Changmai.
we were so surprised when we arrived at this hotel. when you show up, the area of town is not all that great. you're away from the main attractions, in a fairly run-down area, and not immediately next to any restaurants or night-life options. but when you entered, it was as if you stepped into a different world. there are plants everywhere and it's so green you for...
We choose Swiss Lanna because of the authentic Thai feel of the house. We were not disappointed. The whole house is in original Thai style and very elegantly decorated. The best part of the house for me was the huge balcony were I spent hours to watch both sunrise and sunsets. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable With air con and fan. We wanted to stay on the o...
Fabulous place, warm greeting, best taking care of guests....nothing to say but highly recommended.
Super helpful staff, went out of their way to help even when they didn't need to. They recommended good and cheap things to do as well. Blue daily elephant tour was the best! The breakfast was basic but good enough. The rooms were good. A bit far from town but quiet area and an uber or grab is very cheap to get, and there are some nice street food options around. ...
Good location, nice rooms, we had a connected room which was excellent. The only negative about this hotel is the restaurant it is not great for evening meals. Not a great choice, service could be better. A real chef with new ideas would vastly improve the restaurant. Not many eat in the evening. Breakfast time is busy as it is included in the rates!
nice staff; nice environment; nice everything. 4 nights in chiangmai here. especially the staff; not like other hotel staff who just know selling out something to you; in villa sanpakoi; all staff will treat you like their real family to think about for you; offer the best service for you. drive the free bike to ancient city, very close. Thank you, Villa ...
This was the nicest room for the price that I've ever had. It's all brand new, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us, but we weren't there as tourists. For a tourist it might be a little too far away from the action, but you can always rent a motorcycle. ;)
The room is very clean and big. With breakfast included make it so cheap. However you still need to have a car.
I loved staying at De Wiang Kum Kam. While it was a little out of Chiang Mai center, I felt like I was getting an authentically Thai experience, and genuinely felt like I was a part of the owner's family. Nothing was too much trouble for him! I rented a scooter to get around, and the owner called the rental company and arranged for them to deliver a scooter to the hote...
For this price, I have found this hotel is beyond my expectation. They have key card at the front gate, TV, WiFi, A/C, water heater. The rooms for daily guest are on the ground floor, the upper floor I assume that it's for monthly tenant. For the bed, as we have booked 2 rooms, the bed in one room is nice but the bed in the other room is too soft which made us not so ...
both my parents just love the house. the concept of the house is so trendy. very clean and the wifi is superb! we will come again and stay at your house. !!
I stay in Room 3 which is next to the poor. The room is nice and clean with enough space for additional bed. The bathroom is nice and well equipped. The owners and their staffs are very helpful and supportive. They are taking a very good care of us. If we plan to be back to Chiangmai, we will definitely stay in this hotel again! Highly recommended.
Pros: The building was attractive, especially the internal courtyard area. The family room that we stayed in was very large. It had a double and 2 single beds (not the bunk beds shown on the photo - that room was being refurbished). The pool was pleasant. Cons: The beds were very hard, the bath looked amazing but it would have taken too much water and time to fill so w...
Hotel is great high speed internet, swimming pool "salt water" fitness breakfast had a good assortment at the Buffett but you should get their early before 9 am the food might not be as hot, orange juice is pretty decent toast with the jam and butter is pretty nice also try the thai food and fresh eggs, many ppl say its far away from the main city, i can walk home...
Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic stay in this cute hotel. Every room is special, it is decorated and furnished in Burmese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese or Swiss style. We had the burmese room for a week, an the japanese room for 2 nights. The area is very quiet, so it's good for relaxing as there is no noise. We also got the breakfast twice, once thai and once french br...
This was a great budget Hostel. I stayed in one of the bungalows which was fun to switch it up. Mosquito net was provided, so bugs weren’t bad while sleeping even though it was buggy near the river. The hostel itself was pretty basic with coffee/tea and kitchen available all for a fee. They were helpful to book transportation/tours and also allowed an early check in an...

After staying at We Briza Hotel for a week we decided to book a night at Zz Hostel. The Checkin went smoothly and the staff is very friendly, we got a private room which was cleaned spotless, the aircon is serviced properly, they provide free tea and coffee at all times and free water in the fridge. The Wifi is from AIS (Fibre) with 50Mbit Bandwidth (1mbit at we briz...
Had to extend my stay because there was a lot to do and see in Chiang Mai, so I booked a second night here and as mentioned in previous review the pros were that they had no curfew and the people were friendly. The cons were that the walls were thin.
Needed a night stay to catch a bus early the next morning and was able to walk to the hostel. The host was so nice and accommodating. He guided me where to eat and places to go in walking distance. Although the bed was hard, I slept well. The bathrooms were clean and there was free coffee too. Thanks tonaor hostel for making my short layover comfortable.
I had the best time at Railway Park Hostel. I was greeted as if I was already part of the family. The hostel is very clean, comfortable, and the price was very affordable. I ended up extending my stay for two whole weeks. Pom and her family were very helpful in helping book day trips, inviting me in their own celebrations, and making my time in Chiang Mai most memorabl...
Boyd is the absolute best host I've seen. From planning out every detail of our trip to having drinks and laughing with us he was always available and always willing to help. His recommendations for tours were nothing but the best. The beds were incredibly comfortable with lights and plug ins as well as dark curtains on each bed to keep it private and dark. Good shower...
When the place I booked first did not like that my bike gear had bit of dirt on it these guys said stay with us, clean nice hostel bike friendly dorms with privacy curtains bathroom hot water staff OK English location good not in the center , local food on the streets real prices 😂 great stay thanks
This is no hostel, it is a HOME. Sadly, I only spent one day here but I wish I could have spent more time at the Viva Shack. The owners, Yingie and Tbone are great, Yingie is fluent and Tbone can speek good english, both can help you plan your stay at Chiang Mai including attractions and transportation. The hostel itself is very different than all the other hostels I'v...
my friends and I stayed in the hostel for 2 nights and we were very satisfied with our stay. The staffs were really friendly and provided us useful tourist information as well. The shower was great, it was very clean.( I especially loved that there was a mirror in each shower room) Though it is a bit far from the main attraction but you can always take songthaew or...
Goodwill Guesthouse is nicely hidden from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai surrounded by a cluster of buildings. Despite being secluded from the busy roads, it is near to the Nawarat and Iron bridges. Anusarn Night Market and Warorot are just across the river albeit via the 2 different bridges. The old lady owner, although spoke little English, is very friendly and...
Such a great place to stay in Chiang Mai! Nice and quiet but right by the main road that takes you to the city. The staff was friendly and very responsive to our requests even after we arrived quite late at night. Very Modern yet cozy feel. Very clean. :)

This hotel is pretty good. But there is one big problem. Wrong location. This hotel isn't located in front of the Riverside cafe, about 2km far from there. You have to check it before book here. There is only tesco express around the hotel. After sundown you have to buy foods from there becauae other restaurants all closed.
* Not a hotel is like an apartment. The environment, according to some photos, is not in place. I went to the booking room 2 rooms to check in. I just had a room to talk to talk about. Very quiet atmosphere. No other guests upstairs. 3-4 off dark lights. Open air with water heater. Cut off 3-4 times. Must walk to open yourself. The journey is fairly deep. Out to the ba...

We received a free upgraded room and early check in its an older style hotel ....room was nice with balcony primarily its a railway hotel and has a few local restaurants and 7/11 just meters from the entrance ....our stay there served its purpose comfortably

Great location where it's quite at night but sound barrier between rooms is poor. Cleanliness of room can be improved. Great hotel with nice basic facilities.

I loved this new clean comfortable quiet hotel in Changmai. If i could give more stars i would. Nicest hotel i stayed in while visiting Khon Kaen and Changmai.
It is a tourist hotel. 06:00 to 09:00 Guests up and about, plenty of slamming doors and loud hallway discussion. Can't really sleep. 09:00 Impact drill and chipping at the outside walls (tile removal?) begins. 12:00 Construction noise stops. 13:00 Construction noise resumes. 17:00 Construction noise stops for the day. 19:00 Live music from nearby restaurant begin...

I absolutely loved the room. It was super clean and smelled like perfume. It got the room with 3 single beds to share with friends. The bath was deep and so relaxing. The room was so comfortable and nice. I just wanted to rest and chill with my girlfriends and that’s what I got. The hotel is going through renovations ( they are building a pool that should be ready for...
Pros: - New building with basic but modern rooms. The paint had just tried and didn't smell anymore. - Lots of television channels (182). - Coin-operated laundry machines. - You get 2 bottles of Tesco drinking water everyday. Cons: - No 24 hour reception. No daily house keeping service. No elevator. - Energy saver keycard switches do not work properly. Haven't...
Amazing stay, could not fault anything at this hotel, absolutely the best stay I had in Chiang Mai. Everything is perfect, price very affordable, customer service is amazing, food is great, room is like 4 stars hotel. Next time I am in Chiang Mai , I will stay in this hotel.

New Resort. Beautiful pool and water slide. Nice rooms. Clean. Good beds. Nice spa and work-out room. Good restaurant and meal specials. Decent breakfast buffet. A bit hard to find off the main road, but an oasis in the city. Car Park.
This hotel was our absolute favorite during our 2-week trip in Thailand. The Thai/Asia architecture and decor was gorgeous. The staff was incredibly friendly. Overall, it was really great for the price point. Only downside is it is about 15 min in a taxi to the Old City. Pro is the hotel will order an Uber for you at a significantly discounted rate.
