So fun and strange! ”

I stayed at the Chateau de Khaoyai with two friends hoping for some weird Thai kitsch and man, did we get it here! We were the only two farangs staying here - this hotel and many of the other odd themed hotels in Khaoyai are clearly catering to Thai and other Asian tourists. The grounds were beautiful but the buildings felt dated. The pool was lovely and we had it all to ourselves during peak sun tanning hours. Breakfast was so-so. Nearby to the park and other odd attractions in the area, but you definitely need a car.

Very nice location but need more choice for food”

We enjoyed our stay at chateau de khaoyai. The staffs were friendly and the location is also excellent. There were also many facilities. Only the food need to have more choice. It was a unique hotel. The view of our room was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel.

Castel life”

The Chateau is a nice romantic get away near Bangkok! Right in the Khao Yai valley with 3 nice vineyard in the surronding... The Chateau is nice with a big land with remote building to life your private retreat at the Chateau! Or like us in the Chateau it self. They are even building some more house on the land.

Great atmosphere, Large gardens, Mountain view”

The hotel has a great location near Khaoyai National Park. I love biking in the gardens between the chateaux. It is a good place to retreat with the nature.

Quite an experience”

This hotel is pretty incredible. The location is spectacular, the grounds lovely and the imitation 18th century French chateau styling quite amazing. The room was very well appointed, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. However this would be a novelty for a resident of Thailand seeking a French flavour, and not the European traveller seeking a bit of Thailand. If I wanted to stay in a chateau, I would go to France :-) The restaurant, which is done up in medieval style and located on a man made lake, would be lovely if the food were better.

Great location with good facility”

if you are looking for a best hotel with great service and location, this is a best one in your choice. With the location beside by Kao Yai mountain, you can surely that this is one of the best place with great view(like you are in The Great Gasby movie) good air for your lung and cool climate even in the summer!!(15 degree on the morning) I really love it!!

Disappointing stay”

Impressed as we drove in. Seemed like a majestic place, only to be led to our room which was a tiny tiny thing on an ugly building but facing the chateau and the beautiful gardens. Spent most time outdoors, feeding the fish in the lake or seeing attractions in the area. Its about 10km from the Khao Yai park entrance and perhaps 20Km to the floating market. Be warned, staff do not speak English. They have no idea what you are saying and will grin at you then disappear. Limited food options. Breakfast was a sad array of bad food. Oversweetened tea, rice porridge, fried rice, pork soup and some oxidated fruits. Needless to say dinner menu was not any different. No western food served. Do yourself a favor and drive outside and find an alternative for food. They also charge children for breakfast, which would be o if the food was worth eating. Overall, bad hotel, run down. Would not return.

Location is nice ”

Stayed there for one night after searching for new place in Khao Yai. Location is good. You can see a nice lake with chateau refrecting in the water. My room was normal room. My room condition was clean and tidy.

Nice and peaceful but room needs renovation”

Nice property but I feel that the room was overpriced and in serious need of renovation. Lots of cracks in the wall, bathroom looking dated and dirty. Not worth the price at all. Perhaps the other rooms of the hotel are better though. Think I would rather stay at U Khao Yai next time...

Chateu vibe at a reasonable price”

Great service starting from the front desk staff to the bell boys. The room is standard yet very clean. Plenty of photogenic sceneries due to the resort chateu character and buildings. Nothing much to complain at this price.

Perfect Relacing Get away from a Busy Life”

The place was perfect for my family. The French theme was really well done. The room was very comfortable, staff was always on stand by for anything you need. There were two swimming pools, tennis courts, children play ground. We went around since the place was vast and we did take lots and lots of photos. So many picturesque spots. We love it!

A classic large chateaux hotel, set in beautiful grounds”

The standard rooms in the chateau are okay, but the more expensive rooms are pretty awesome. With sauna, jacuzzi and steam room included in your actual room. The tv station selection was poor. There is no elevator and you cant wear your shoes upstairs. The staff are excellent, very helpful. It's a pity they dont allow room service and the dining area is a separate building, which you can walk to or get a ride on a hotel buggy. The pool is very small and they dont provide any seats or umbrellas, which is a pity as this small improvement would really make a difference.

not friendly”

hotel is beautiful copy of european chateau, nice surrounding, but staff was unfriendly at reception, maid and also at house maria (breakfast). did not feel welcome and so did my group of friends, we stayed two nights in 3 rooms. no english channels just thai and chinese. no warm water every morning it was only warm in the evening. bed sheet not really clean and was not changed for the second night.

the hotel is located in a excellent location and good view for the lover to honeymoon and it has a small pool for kids. however the hotel which booking from agoda is fixed and limited, which i has been told from the reception that the hotel an not offer or change the room when booking through agoda since the hotel has contract with agoda and fixed the rooms. therefore if something wrong with room, the guest can not change the room. the hotel has excellent restaurant and good service. the room is large and antique with pretty decoration. they have variety food in the restaurant.

Friendly staff. Big room at Lakeside Villa. Beautiful hotel with impressive entrance and lobby. Not much choice for breakfast but ok.

Don't be fooled”

We dreamt of staying at a nice Chateau, but it was like staying at maids' shelters. It is a big scam. They pull people to site by showing such nice pictures, you can only see from far. Not even through the window of your room.

We really enjoyed our stay here, so many picturesque spots, we enjoyed taking photos. Two swimming pools! Just awesome!
