Our great experience in Chiangkhan”

We had a great time at Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort. We are family with young kid. Even though we stayed only one night at this hotel, everything was impressive. To start with, we got free upgraded to the bigger room with more beautiful view of the river. The hotel staff was very nice, helpful and polite. That was one of the best points of the hotel. The room itself was huge and comfortable. We stayed at the four-bed villa with the access to the river. Everybody in our group had a great time staying there. The breakfast was great too. The staff was so polite and eager to serve us. The dining place was huge and clean. The food was good. We love everything about this hotel. We highly recommend it.

Has a great stay at the Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort, the staff were absolutely amazing and went out of there way to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast on our deck was fantastic and great way to start the day. Would definitely suggest this place to anybody going to Chiangkhan.

Lovely Riverside Location”

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at the Chiangkhan Riverside. We didn’t want to be in the bustle of the town, preferring quiet and serenity while being just minutes away by car. We came at the right time in December as one morning we witnessed a dense cloud of mist slowly envelop the river and hotel. That was quite a sight indeed! The hotel is well maintained, and our room was spacious and clean. The WiFi was strong too. Breakfasts was reasonably good and I liked the local-style omelette . This would be my choice to stay if we return to Chiangkhan for another visit.

Excellent stay ”

Fantastic ! We paid for basically the cheapest room and because it was in the quiet period they automatically upgraded us to a superb bungalow room right beside the river . We have a pickup so we went into Chiangkhan for our evening meal , but we was served a delicious breakfast of congee with pork in the morning followed by whatever we wanted , so my wife being Thai had a Thai omelette and I had an English style omelette with some toast , nothing was too much trouble . My wife also noted all the polite Thai words they were using to her .

I recommend friends should travel to Chiangkhan and staying in this resort because of its service, facilities, location and very nice chief who prepare breakfast and the price is low if compare to service.

Great View and Friendly Staff”

We stayed there for two nights and both nights were great. The location is no far from walking street and we can easily get there in five minutes by car. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When they see us parked our car, they came to help with our bags and lead us to the room after the check-in. They upgraded us to the deluxe room which was fantastic. Had the option of having breakfast in our room so we decided to eat in for both days. The hotel is right beside the Makhong river so it's worth the price. Breakfast was great and the room was clean with nice and large bathroom. We would definitely go back there!

Great hotel”

My third time in Chiang Khan and this hotel is a modern clean spacious Hotel. It is 2 Kilometres out from the Town centre and walking street, but well worth it. My first two trips here, I paid a similar amount, 1480 Baht for much smaller rooms in hotels in the town centre, the extra room size was well worth the 2 minute drive to get to walking street night market. Staff were really friendly and the hotel is next to the Mekong with its own jetty access. Lovely well kept gardens and a cafe overlooking the river with both Thai and Western menus, a really nice relaxing place. Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of dishes and an egg station. All in all, a really good stay in a very comfortable Hotel. From now on, I will use this Hotel whenever I return to Chiang Khan.

Nice view and garden, quiet outside the weekend”

Around 2 kms west from city center. Bicycles are free of charge but not in the best condition. Cafe de River with view on the Mekong is opened until 6:00 pm with basic food. Need to take a tuktuk for diner in the evening time in the city, TBH 30 by person. Would have been perfect with a nice swimming pool. Staff is hardly speaking english but try their best.

very good stayed 3days all staff very friendly and helpful.The hotel is only 5 mins. from city and night time street market.Taxi only 50 baht from hotel to town. Breakfast was very good.Nice location by the river. Hotel very quiet and has nice gardens.

Excellent hotel.”

On the banks of the Mekong river, the hotel has a great location. The room was very well appointed with lovely teak furniture. Room was kept very clean. The staff were charming and very helpful. The hotel is situated about 1.3 kms from the town centre, but it is a quick cheap ride in a tuk tuk to get to the heart of the town. Highly recommended.

A very relaxing and close to the nature stay”

We stayed atChiengkhan River Mountain Resort with our big familes. We really like this resort. The location is very good with river front and monutain view. The resort is very peaceful and close to the nature. It is not far from the shopping areas and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The weather is very nice; we stay during Christmas time there. The breakfast is good with attentive staff to take care of us and our kids.

Superb”

The hotel is really good, offers excellent service, friendly and helpful staffs, beautiful flowers, romantic garden, nice view of Khong River, and close to Chiang Kan walking street. The sticky rice offering to monks in the morning on the Walking Street was so impressive. The traditional life of people, ancient buildings, smiles of local people, traditional food, live music, and everything out there were superb.

Staff was over the top welcoming and accommodating. They have bikes to loan and a beautifully landscaped property a short drive to the Saturday evening street market, which us why we went. We had planned to stay right on the street market road but it was pretty well booked and we noticed the reviews were not so great and parking would have been very challenging. We were a family of 4 plus grandparents and we loved this resort!

Good location ”

It is located along MaeKhong River, sufficient parking lot, green yard near River, and there is coffee shop. The room is good with traditional decoration, full facilities, clean room, comfortable bed, bathtub and shower. friendly staffs, they upgraded my room from deluxe twin bed to junior sweet that so great. Breakfast is tasty. There are some cons: no international channels on TV, the door without keycard system.

Will come back, a bit expensive, love the view, great breakfast, 4 bottles of water included snacks no extra charge, facility is well maintained lots of flowers, river view room is the best, other rooms are great too.

The good thing is about its service ”

We paid 5k+ for the room for 5 people. The room is small for 5-6 ppl. Great thing is there are 2 bathrooms. It's not that near to the market but not that far if you have a car (or you can borrow hotel's bicycles which are for free.) One more thing you should consider is that the location of your room, some is river view, some is not. Moreover, the air condition did not work well, we couldn't adjust the fan speed and the swing, and the air condition is old. So we are not happy with the small room, basic facilities with the high price. However, the service was good.

Okay but not good value for money”

For the price they’re charging, I’d expected the quality of the accommodation, the view, etc to be quite good. Turns out this is not the case. The venue is clean, to be sure, but not worth the price being paid. The view of Maekong River is also only accessible to a subset of the rooms.

Great place on the River Mekong.”

It’s a great Hotel on the banks of the Mekong overlooking Laos. 2 kilometres from the centre of Chiang Khan but well worth it with the space and and views from this Hotel. They have a Cafe right by the riverside and serve great food there, the menu is small but the food big and of great quality. My third time in Chiang Khan and first time in this Hotel, I will most likely use this hotel on my next visit as the room space and peaceful setting is far better than the town centre and the small room I have stayed in before. All in all, a great place to stay.
