beautiful hotel, lovely decor”

Akyra Chura is a great new resort - good position in chaweng far enough from all the noise but a quick tuk tuk ride to all the action however the price of these short rides seems to have increased over the years some now charge baht to drive 1km whilst you get another charging 50 baht. The decor is new and rooms nice, simple and fresh- no outdated thai influences. There are lots of stairs leading into the resort so not suitible for people with mobility issues. The breakfast is good and staff lovely. Good value for money and the best resort we have stayed in whilst in Chaweng (have also stayed at Dara Samui and Baan Samui). 7/11, laundry, pharmacy and scooter hire are all just across the road which is handy. I would definently stay at Akyra again. Really enjoyed

Nice hotel with great staff”

Stayed at this hotel as I wanted to be in Chaweng beach before leaving Ko Samui. I did not want the hotel to be right in the middle of Chaweng as the place is very noisy. Akyra Samui fitted the bill like a "T" It is just a kilometer from Chaweng but had access to the beach, and beach side bar, restaurant. The checkin took longer than expected but the staff attended me with attention and gave me room closer to the beach. The beach is @100 meters from the room but that is ok. The room was spacious, and bathroom even more spacious. Loved the bathroom with such a spaciousness. The breakfast spread was also quiet good, except the fact that for vegetarians it is not much of a choice other than bread toast and coffee. Had a massage at their spa and it was awesome. Overall I would rate the hotel a good place to stay. A little expensive compared to other Samui hotels but it is ok.

Beautiful resort!”

Chura Samui is a beautiful resort! Quiet side of Chaweng, but not too far from the walking street. We had a room with the Seaview. Plenty of room with separate living and bathroom. Very spacious. Our room was a few steps away from the swimming pool and the beach which was very nice to wake up to every morning. All staff were friendly and made our stay a very comfortable one. And breakfast was just right! With hot and cold options, sweet and savoury and the coffee was not bad either! Definitely recommend and will be returning!

Chura Samui review ”

We just had a lovely 5 night stay at Chura Samui. The hotel and rooms were absolutely great, excellent breakfast (great coffee), very clean rooms, beautiful and large bathroom and beautiful well maintained gardens. The beach is narrow perhaps due to monsoon season but they make up for it with a great pool area. All staff is very kind and helpfull. The bar prices are relatively high compared to surrounding establishments. The plus side is that they don't mind if you drink or eat from elsewhere (anywhere in or near the resort). All and all great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Hotel”

the akyra chura samui is located on chaweng beach road but away from the main hustle and bustle of the main chaweng beach road area. though located slightly away, it is still walking distance (10 minutes) to the main area. ideally located (we dont get the crowd and noise) from night activities and yet its close enough. the pool and beach would be the best feature for us, the staff are always smilling and on call at any time of the day. reception staff also recommended good restaurants. one was spirit hosue serving authentic thai cuisine and the other being prego (italian). spirit house has a courtesy pick up and its only a 10 minute drive away. prego is 5 moinutes walk away from the hotel. all in all, we had a good relaxing trip. will definitely go back, this time we may opt for a bigger room.

Chura Samui is Awesome!”

My brother and I spent 4 nights at Chura Samui and had a fantastic time. The staff is very freindly and fun to be around. We like having a cold room and the AC worked excellent. Huge plus for us! The breakfast was good and offered a large variety to chose from. The hotel is right on the beach and it is very easy to walk to many types of stores. Seph, the manger of the hotel was very hospitlable and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and have fun! Make sure you get a massage from Pink and Thong on the beach!

I love everything about Chura Samui. The stuff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast are wide selection. The beautiful beach. The room is super clean and have unique interior design. This place is beautiful. Location is good. Highly recommend if you planning to stay in Chaweng area.

wonderful relaxing hotel ”

checked out of another hotel and booked one night here to get a good sleep and rest before heading off koh samui. after spending the night at akyra i will now stay here when ever i am on smaui. hotel was clean modern big rooms great facilities and so quiet and relaxing. all within walking distance of chaweng beach road and the heart of town. plenty of resteraunt surrounding. staff went out of there way to be friendly and helpful overall a great hotel

Fantastic resort to stay!!”

The Chura samui was great in all aspects. Fantastic sea facing pool. The rooms were great and the bed very comfortable. The hotel staff were amazing as well. Very easy to get to bars and restaurants by taxi or 10min walk. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Amazing staff and facilities”

I have stayed at the Chura Samui (formerly the Akyra) many times over the last 10 years and have always been super impressed by the service and the staff in particular. Great spot on Samui, close to the airport and the nightlife. 10/10! See you again soon.

Great hotel, great value”

Only have good things to say about the Chura. I stayed both up here at the north end of Chaweng and in the centre; even as a solo traveler, I much preferred here - calmer, prettier beach, great pool, modern rooms, friendly staff and less overall commotion than staying further south - while not being too far away from the centre. Only a couple of complaints - the beachside bar/restaurant is overpriced - you're much better off walking down the beach 2 minutes to the Your Place beach bar/restaurant or 10 minutes to OP Bungalow. Also, I had a problem with the air conditioning in the room that the hotel seemed to think was not a problem, despite twice raising it. No offer to change rooms. I just dealt with it but was the only blemish on a nice stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helped me arrange a transfer to the pier at a reasonable rate. Would gladly stay here again.

New designer hotel at a reasonable price”

The Akyra is a quite stylish, well-managed hotel on the Northern end of Chaweng beach. Rooms are not very big - the term 'Suite' is a bit deceiving here as it is nothing more than a normal room. But again: The architecture and furniture are nice, and the bathroom at least is quite spacious. The pool area and bar are nice places to lounge for a sundowner. The pricing is very reasonable for Koh Samui standards. On the downside this is not the nicest part of Chaweng beach - if you are looking for really clean, white sand you better venture more to the middle of the beach (around the Central Samui Resort).

Beautiful hotel - wonderful rooms, great property”

I had a fantastic time at the Akyra. Wonderful location on Chaweng Beach - close to all the action, but removed just enough from the craziness of Samui nightlife that it remains peaceful and quiet throughout the night. Beautiful pool, right on the beach. Room was very large, and very nice. Restocking the room's refrigerator with complimentary beers and beverages each morning was a wonderful touch. The hotel restaurant was very good - I enjoyed having breakfast there each morning. Would absolutely recommend the Akyra to anyone.

Chura is a solid 4 star”

Chura Samui is a solid 4 star property,breakfast is ala cart with cold buffet,15-20 min walk to the islander bar which is the best sports bar,otherwise 100 baht in a tuk. Pool area is small but service by the staff is great

Modern and new resort”

we booked 2 connecting rooms, 1 for ourselves and the other for our young children aged 5 & 7. i supposed for 2 rooms, it seems spacious enough because we wouldn't want to be confined in 1 room which seems small. i got what the others meant by no privacy in some rooms as our main room is very open, where people can see you clearly just by walking pass your room. so, we had to draw the curtains the whole time, luckily for us, the other connected room door is tucked away and very private. so we only had this door and curtains opened. we love the bathrooms the best. its very rustic and modern. its a new hotel and everything in it is refreshing. the staff are like all thais, very warm and helpful. we could just stayed in the room the whole time cos koh samui itself is terrible, dirty and pricey.

If you're looking for private romanctic beachfront”

Our stay at Akyra was perfect. Even though we've faced some transportation problem but the Hotel Manager handle it pretty well and who will believe that 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng we'll find a peaceful private hotel, some of my friends who saw the picture of Akyra didn't believe that we took the trip in high-season as we actually did. It was a great experience for our 2nd anniversary and we'll surely stay in Akyra if we go back to Samui again!!!

Beautiful hotel, Fab service, friendly staff”

we travelled thailand for a month and this was by far thee best place we stayed. the room is very clean, modern and spacious as is the rest of the hotel. the staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main part of chaweng so perfectly located. in general just a lovely hotel with great staff. we'll definitely be returning to samui and the akyra.

Stylish & quiet bungalows on great beach”

We really enjoyed our stay at Akyra Samui. The grand deluxe room we were in was smaller than most rooms in Thailand but so stylish & had a wonderfully soft bed (a rarity in Thailand). Our room had a great bathroom. The resort pool is an infinity pool overlooking Chaweng beach. Breakfast was good. The resort is smaller than most so feels a lot more intimate, perfect for couples. There were no large groups staying at the resort.

Stunning Japanese-style hotel”

Highly recommended stay for Koh Samui. Excellent Japanese themed hotel, with excellent food, facilities, rooms and service. It is also located right on the beach, with a pool + bar-service. A short trip from the center of town, hire a motorbike - no problem. If you can afford it, stay here.

Good value for money...”

Location is good,away from loud center. Room are spacious and clean. Bathroom is very big and comfortable. Only one thing that ruined the perfection is moisture in the room,i understand that this is because of the climate in Koh Samui,but it can be problem for someone... Taking all in concern i would recommend this place with no doubts.
