A stunning hotel to arrive to in India. The lobby entrance is so grand and gives an amazing vibe for your stay in Agra. We arrived at 4am in the morning. It’s such a shame that staff were incredible and painfully slow to check in, get our luggage to our room and an extra bed. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in India. Umar was so attentive to checking on u...

This is a reasonable quality hotel in a great location 10mins walk from the Taj east gate so ideal if, like us you plan to visit early. We were upgraded to 'super delux' on arrival which was a basement room - large and adequately if basically furnished, fine for 1 night but wouldn't fancy it for longer. Breakfast fairly typical for this grade of hotel, reasonable choic...

unlike other hotels in agra which are very noisy and dirty, this place is really clean and calm and 10 mins walk from taj. they arrange for taj tickets at the reception. i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent accomodation in agra.

The hotel very comfortable and modern, very clean and the staff very friendly and cheerful. The location of this hotel very good, can walk for shopping because of many shop around. And very close from the attraction place. Breakfast here very good, many of food provide and delicious. I like to stay here, and I thought this hotel is the best hotel in Agra.

Wyndham Grand Agra exceeded my expectations. It is in fact one of the really beautiful hotels in Agra. If you have enough money to splurge, then by all means do so in this fabulous place. The lobby is very nice. Breakfast was good, and the rooms were exquisite. I wouldn't have second thoughts to book a room here should I ever return to agra.

Nice and comfortable room. We did pay extra fee for early check-in. I like welcome cookies. Tasty and lovely. Breakfast is good. overall recommend for good hotel in Agra. However, I booked via Agoda.com and pay at hotel but I got flake charge from this hotel and need to reject payment and cancel my credit before checking in date. Need to improve on credit card security...

This hotel under the leadership of Mr Lokesh Kumar Upadhya provided my wife and me with every imaginable comfort and courtesy during our 3 day stay there while visiting the TAJ Mahal .. A very clean hotel with quality food and attentive staff who goes the extra mile for you . We would like to thank Rahul amongst the restaurant staff and Prithi , of the guest services ...

This hotel chain is really good. I stayed in their Firozabad property too and there the facilities were almost comparable to any 4 start hotel in India. Based on that experience I booked this hotel in Agra. There was little disappointment since Agra Hotel is not comparable with Firozabad one but overall it was a good choice. Location is amazing. Food is awesome. Only r...

Was pleasantly surprised on reaching the hotel in Agra, being a frequent international traveler have stayed in all kinds of accommodation across the globe, and would say this comes very close to my experience abroad. beautiful hotel in agra and realistic price. was upgraded to a larger room, without asking. the staff was attentive to my needs and the restaurant was quite heritage style, and the food was traditional indian fare. nice sitar and tabla at dinner, overall i would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Though this hotel is old in town, yet it has maintained customers expectations. Perfect stay for couples, excellent food quality, prompt service and good facility. It has maintained all its name in this industry. Just go for it, you will have pleasant stay in Agra

Courtyard by Marriott Agra is a great place to stay for your adventure into the historical past of Kings and Mughals in Agra. The hotel's staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was so close to the Taj. Taxi and guide were easily arranged by staff. Only complaint I have was that there was no guide included in the price for the Agra Fort. I would not have minded b...

Located on the hotel street of Agra. My room was on 5th floor which is can see Taj Mahal in a distanCe away. The breakfast buffet was so delicious with a lot of choice. Rooftop restaurant ‘s food is not one of the best but it is surely a place to hang out after dark here in Agra. Staff were nice and the room are always clean with amenities.

Great place in Agra to stay. Rooms are extremely clean and wonderfully decorated. Dinner was outstanding some of the best food we had in north india. Wonderful rooftop view over Agra. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Close to the Taj Mahal east gate.

Good option for a nice hotel at a reasonable rate in Agra. The rooms was great -- super comfy bed, best water pressure shower I've had in India, and most excellent staff. I booked the package with the breakfast included which was worth it. The gem is there's a tiny swimming pool on the roof deck which is great respite from the Agra heat. It's not far from the Taj b...

My husband and I arrived in Agra after a very delayed train trip. We had booked another train out the following morning and were sure we were going to miss seeing the Taj Mahal. The owner at this hotel was so lovely. He made sure to help us change our trip around and hire a car so that we wouldn’t miss seeing some amazing sites. We cannot thank him enough for saving th...

By far the best hotel we have stayed in on our trip! The hotel were really helpful they let us check in 5 hours early after arriving on the train and gave us their best room with a view of the Taj Mahal. We will defiantly stay here again if we return to Agra. A tip if you do stay here ask for tuk tuk driver RJay he lives across the road, great value for money and teach...

We chose hotel based on its location and reviews by other travellers. We were positively suprised by service and cleanliness in this basic hotel. Location was just few hundred meters (walking distance) from Taj Mahal. Do not regret our choice any second as we initially planned to stay in one of the expensive hotels in Agra. The hotel due to its location made the stay v...

Over my two month Agra trip, I have found GoStops to be the best hotel in town. All the rooms are unique with a story to tell. The staff is just hands-down some of the best people I've ever met: humble, honest, and empathetic. All the rooms and especially the common area are picturesque. They have amazing books, board games, etc. All of this for just a few hundred buck...

The two taxis we took there didn't know how to find the place, but once there it was great. A short walk to the Taj Mahal. A restaurant with a very attentive fellow serving breakfast. Clean room, hot water, pleasant stay. They booked us a taxi back to Delhi, and we paid through the hotel, which cost a bit more than it would have through Ola, and then the taxi d...

Wonderful place. Beautiful, mysterious garden and tastefully decorated rooms. Delicious breakfasts and dinners. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. only 400 meters walk to Taj Mahal. The owner will be happy to help you organize trips, eg one day trip in Agra. Really cheap.

Location was the best, a stone throw from the Taj Mahal. The grounds are beautiful and the place has a restaurant where you can eat outside or inside. The food is good. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom looked a bit tired but you can't expect much more to be honest. The staff are super friendly and will accomodate you whenever they can. Overall, this hotel i...

We never normally leave reviews but we felt compelled to leave one for Bansi as our stay was so fantastic! Ultimately the hospitality is what makes this place so special - we were made to feel extremely welcome at all times and Mr Burman and his team went above and beyond in their hospitality. Cheap places to stay in Agra

This was easily the best hostel we stayed in out of our whole month in India. We had a private room which was very comfortable and clean with our own bathroom and aircon. The location could not be better for the Taj Mahal with the entrance being just a two minute walk away. This is great if you want to get there early for opening. The guys that work at this hostel were...

This is the best place to stay in agra near Taj Mahal, just 1 KM form eastern gate. Clean, humble staff and the food is totally delicious. You guys have to try the fry chicken. That’s the best in town. Lucky, one of the staff help me to find transportion when i was there an when i needed to go to delhi. All is good

We are two students, first time visitors to India. Picked up at the airport at 4 am in the morning. The owner Raj is extremely nice and helpful. Arranged private car so we could design our own tour day. Recommend you bring a guidebook with pictures so you can show and tell where you want to go. Our driver Gautama (?) was a very positive young fellow, speaks enough engl...

I stayed here for one night and my stay here turned out to be absolutely amazing. The managers were so helpful; he booked a cab for me and suggested me some offbeat places to visit in Agra, even helped me book a train ticket besides this the free breakfast is really scrumptious! And I loved the art work and the common area. I would definitely recommend this place for an...

The hotel was in renovation process and facility was limited but food is available at near by restos. Only 5 mins walk from Taj Mahal which was viewed from the roof top. The staff was helpful when directing the palce of interest and gave warm welcome. A travel bureau was in the hotel and good in arrange car rental.

The Taj Plaza is perfectly located near the Taj Mahal, only a few hundred meters south of the Eastern gate. The hotel’s biggest asset is its spectacular views of Agra’s most famous site from both the rooftop restaurant and some of the rooms. We initially booked the standard room which was not up to scratch, but we were really impressed by the upgraded luxury room we g...

WOW this place was lovely. Amazing location (5 min walk to Taj Mahal!) Rooftop cafe is awesome, good prices, and best view of Taj in Agra. Room was clean, simple and good size. Staff was so friendly. Cannot say enough nice things, do stay if you're in Agra.

Checked in for one night. After experiencing 3 nights stay at budget 3 star hotel in New Delhi this hotel appears to be a 4 star hotel for the price of a 3 star. Its cleaniness and housekeeping is immaculate. Rooms are quite large and clean. Located in a quiet area a good night's sleep is most welcome. We had our meals at the hotel and believe me the food is superb tog...

We stayed at Hotel Rashmi for 5 nights in Room 102. Adjust your expectations. This is India and for the price that Hotel Rashmi charges, it is a bargain. The bathroom isn’t up to European standard but adequate for a few days. The staff are very obliging, especially with my mother having arthritis and having difficulty with the stairs, they quickly changed us to a g...

More modern clean hotel in Agra. It is a little off the beaten path (on a small road off of the main hotel road) so some drivers had a hard time finding it so make sure to look for the signs. It is very close to a less crowded gate of the Taj Mahal however and you can even walk on a wider path to the Taj within a half hour to forty minutes. Staff was extremely nice and...

Traveled in Kolkata, Bodhgaya, and Varanasi, and this was the best place we stayed at (backpacker budget) and the best value. The wifi worked great, but it was turned off after 10pm. The room was clean. Mosquitoes in the non-ac room was an issue, but the second night the hotel boss gave us a plug in repellent that worked wonders (ask for it when you check in). The hote...

It's a clean & quite place with friendly staff. Over all a good place to stay. Nothing much about the location as the hotel located in the Agra city. But the rest is OK. If you are only looking to spend the night safely & visit the country for day time this is one of the best place & I would recommend this place more as it's very close to Taj mahal & Agra Fort.

We stayed one night and it was a very good hotel. The staff is very helpful and is located in a perfect location near the eastern gate of Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, etc. Actually, we did not eat food at the hotel restaurant so we would not be able to comment on that, but the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable for a good night's sleep.

Location was the best, a stone throw from the Taj Mahal. The grounds are beautiful and the place has a restaurant where you can eat outside or inside. The food is good. Nice staff and good facility of in room dining. Although it's quite far from Agra cantt railway station but it is worth staying here. One can use ola/Uber for commuting as it is easily available here. We are three friends, traveled around India, stayed in many hotel in the country. Yamuna is a nice and clean hotel, compare to other ones in India. I like the concept of the bathroom connected to bedroom. And it's also very clean. The staffs are helpful. Locations is convenience, not far from Red Fort and Taj Mahal. Double tree has its high standard. We really enjoy the room, restaurants and also the proximity to Taj Mahal. It was awesome stay at Radisson Agra. Hotel has taken all safety precautions to ensure the guest feel safe during stay. Front desk team is really very helpful , as they always try to accommodate and fulfill the preference. It was wonderful stay at radisson agra , thank you all.

when it comes to booking a hotel in agra, there are several options available with a diverse range of prices and offerings. we chose trident agra, mainly based on the brand name, since this is my second visit to a trident. trident agra lives up to the brand image, and score good on comfort and service. the staff is very courteous and helpful. the rooms were also quite ...

a) (Plus) Coffee shop staff are trained the old school way (which is great !) and genuinely friendly ! b) The hotel is simple but very nice and comfortable. c) (Minus) I requested a 430am morning call as I planned to leave for the Taj Mahal at 530am. Real reviews for hotels
We would have liked to see more of Agra, to give it a better review but the monuments alone, make this city a 'must' to visit
Guidebooks didn't recommend staying any longer than necessary in Agra so I only stayed 2 nights.I found it to be a very vibrant and pleasant city and would have enjoyed more time there.
Agra is a very harsh city to try and spend time in, the main attractions like the Taj Mahal are truly stunning and well worth a visit but getting around you see there is a lot of poverty and the city is very very dirty.
Visit to the Taj Mahal and fort Agra, really worth doing. Wasn't expecting it to be in such a dirty, poverty area.
apart from the Taj and agra fort premises rest of the place is very dirty(I still laugh of myself whenever i see a board "welcome to clean agra", If that's what cleanliness is, i wonder what was it before).
This city of Agra will simply make you say “Wah Taj!” (Wow Taj!) even if you do not know the meaning of it.
These really nothing much but monuments, you will enjoy it if you know the history of the monuments or else you wont really appreciate it
Well Agra is mainly the Taj Mahal Monument next the Red fort nothing else although access by roads have improved considerabley from Delhi by newly built Highways but getting in to Agra and out is a nightmare by car as lack of proper signposts lead us to unimaginable rough roads until we finally caught up with the highways miles out
Obviously everyone comes here to see the Taj Mahal, and it really did take my breath away. I would recommend getting there at 5.
Very nice place to visit. All the monuments are very impressive. Fatehpur Sikri,Sikandra,Baby Taj,Metab Bagh,Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are where you should not miss.
nothing much tor see except for the forts n Taj Mahal, dont have to spend much time here, especially if you dun like the environment
City is used to having tourists...so be wary of over pricing. Good to have someone who lives their help you or an India friend.
Good city of ancient culture,Taj mahal is the highlight, good transport facilities, nearer to Newdelhi(200km).
Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are the only attractions worth visiting the rest is just noise and pollution.
Agra is an interesting city and a good base from which to visit both the wonderful monuments in the city such as the Taj, Red Fort and riverside gardens and the slightly more remote sites such as Akbar's tomb and beyond.
Its all about TAJ,a marval a must see in a life time, but badly maintained city, unorganised systems in taj interms of Que system, very rude police men,who puts our system in shame.
Agra has very little to show for, except the Taj Mahal. It is dirty and run down, even for India. It's a shame that the Government doesn't do some Urban renewal, get rid of the open sewers and do some general cleanning.
Agra is a city which has history peeping out from every nook and corner. The monuments and buildings take you back in time and you begin to think about how those times would have been.
Its a nice city, bit crowded but have a historical background and many monuments to see however Taj Mahel is a must watch.
Apart from the Taj Mahal and perhaps the Agra Fort, there is nothing else to see or do! We were there during a Hindu festival (13 Oct) and had coloured powder thrown all over us.
Beside Taj Mahal, Itimad-Ud Daulah, Agra Fort, we can take a tour to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. It took only 1,5 hrs by car.
Every human being has to see the TAJ. Just to realize how far a man can go to show his love for his wife ( third wife infact) and how great an expression of love can be.
Like most people, we went to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, which was everything we expected and hoped it to be -- stunning, awe-inspiring and an incredible icon of all it stands for.
Recreating the legends in our mind is one great thing that can be done. The entire history of the Taj and the Agra Fort recreates the time woven legends and if told by a competent guide, the tale becomes a fairy story but true.
Dirty, bad roads, good hotels are only near Agra Cannt,Sadar Bazzar is a nice place to hang out in the evening.
There are 5 must see places which are Taj, baby Taj, Agra Fort, Sikandra, tomb of Akab (not sure about the spelling.
To visit Agra was the highlight of our trip into Northern India, we had booked and travelled on the trains on a 21 day Indy Rail pass, that allowed as many train journeys as we wished over this period, we had 11 trains in total, including 8 over night trains.
Agra is a great city but do plan more than a day to explore it's true treasures. Yes, the Taj Mahal is fantastic but the Agra Fort is one of the greatest ones in India and for true superb pietra dura (Stone inlays) do go to the Baby Taj.
a good city to visit.in every aspects.shopping, enjoyment, relaxation, historical monuments, but to be careful with auto and taxi drivers.
Agra is the city of Taj Mahal. The place is well connected to Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow. The city is somewhat on the dirtier side.
