Where to stay in Bacolod (Negros Occidental)
Bacolod (Negros Occidental) hotels & accommodations

Stylish and vibrant, modern and hip..certainly, it's the Avenue Suites! The newest addition in Bacolod's downtown. Its location is perfect for sight-seeing, dining and night life. Famous nearby attractions are the Negros Museum, the Negros Showroom, the old Negros Provincial Capitol, the Negros Occidental Capitol Park and Lagoon and the Negros Forest and Ecological Fou...

I booked a super deluxe room so we could have somewhere to stay after a friend's wedding. The hotel was a little underwhelming considering that it is considered the best in Bacolod. It's better than other good hotels though. It wasn't a quick check in. Although the receptionists were nice, there was no sense of urgency in them. If there was, then I did not sense it. B...

I like this hotel. The sheets and towels were clean and I think this is because the hotel is new. I hope they can maintain this so they'd be better than the other 3-star or even 4-star hotels in Bacolod. I always check the towels! I'm generally impressed. They have a bidet, which is not common in the Philippines. I'm always happily surprised when I see one. The maxim...

Staff was fantastic. Thank you. Stayed 2 nights at a famous hotel in Bacolod and the Seda was far superior. This will be my choice for all future trips. Super comfy bed. Great bar on top floor (even had Don Papa rum (at a stupid high price)). Great service, good food. Really enjoyed this hotel. Thanks.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Bacolod in this price range, always looking for the fastest internet and a clean room. The Inns has very fast pretty solid internet, 8-12 Mbps as I measured. Most other hotels (and homes) provide 1 Mbps only. The rooms are very nice, big, complete and clean. Big closets, large and small desk, big bath with a very hot shower (wait a...

I booked a deluxe room online. They offer a special rate when you book online. I think the room rates are reasonable especially for a solo traveler like me. My overall experience with this hotel, from the way they handle my reservation and requests up to checking-out, is very satisfactory. The hotel staff are courteous. I am delighted that they accommodated my reques...

Nature's Village Resort is owned by the Governor's (Negros Occidental) sister so you can imagine you get some of the best amenities. The Superior room in which we stayed was over-sized, quiet and very comfortable. The entire resort is well designed with a charming modern rustic feel incorporated with an abundance of local and international art to please your senses. Th...

It is an old hotel along Lacson St., so I don't have to walk far to get a ride. It is within walking distance to SM malls. If you travel for business it is a convenient location to go. Though the room lights are not meant for working. Internet connection is ok. If you travel with a senior citizen it may not be so convenient without an elevator. For comfort, the bed wit...

East View Hotel is by far the best value for money hotel in Bacolod in terms of the size of the room for the amount of money you pay. This hotel is a bit more expensive than the budget hotels but the size of the room is much larger, there's a fridge in the room, and the internet actually works. It's worth paying the extra cash for what you get in return. The only do...

First, location is great! Pasalubong stores, coffee shops as well as the Provincial Capitol are just a few walks away. Very accessible also to PUVs. I've recently been to Masskara festival, and i felt like a local because of its easy to access to everything. :) Second, our room is clean. I love the fact that they changed bedsheets, blankets, pillow cases and towels d...

well, this is the best hotel in bacolod by far, so far!. the food alone would get it that qualification. the restaurant was great. we only had one meal including pizza, carbonara and pesto chicken but it was all great. . the pool is adequate and easy to get to without having to parade through public areas. the location of the hotel is perfect being an easy walk...

My room for 2 days, I really enjoyed my stay here in this hotel Its like your just staying in one of the bedroom in your home, because outside your room was a dining/living/kitchen room all in one that you can use, I'm talking about there 2nd Floor Area where my room is, also It is a one jeepney ride going to some bacolod landmarks like SM Bacolod, Bacolod Lagoon, Negr...

Never a dull moment when my family and I stayed at Sugarland Hotel for a week. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Its a dream come true after ten years that I haven't been to Bacolod City, I finally came to stay at my "dream hotel" in Negros Occidental, Philippines. My family and I had a great time and we cherished every moment of every day of our stay and ...

The house is a a bit old but stylish. Nagstay kami ng one night sa 1st Floor because of our 2 days trip in Bacolod. Nakakabitin ang stay namin dito. I forgot her name pero nagrant nya ung request kong lipat kami ng room so thank you . Spacious ang room at comfy ang bed. Sobrang bait ng staff, approachable at very accomodating. My husband and I stayed here while in town to experience the MassKara festival. Despite the influx of visitors to Bacolod, the Royal Am Rei Hotel was still very reasonably priced, especially given its excellent location: it is located directly off of Lacson St, which is one of the main arteries for the parades and celebrations. However, it is not situated on Lacson St ...

The best part about this place is it's location. All the important places in Bacolod are very accessible from here. The room is great, so much better that what I was expecting considering the price. And the staff was just very accomodating. This will definitely be my go-to hotel everytime i travel to Bacolod.

Excellent Service, sure to stay again when I revisit Bacolod, just a one ride of jeepney on the crossing near the hotel and It will get you to all the possible landmarks in Bacolod like SM Bacolod, Bacolod Plaza, the Famous Cakes and Pastries of Calea, Negros Museum, Bacolod Lagoon and More plus If your planning to go to south part of Negros, just a couple of minute of...

Kundutel is a premier hotel in Bacolod City located at Goldenfields Commercial Complex area in the City of Smiles. The hotel is also near the domestic airport. The hotel have cool establishments as neighbors. The hotel's vicinity is Carlo Ristorante Italiano, MO2 Bar, Pizza O, Chicken inasal Restaurants, grocery shops, Casino Filipino, and more. Definitely a five star...

Had a good stay but what stuck most is how one of the staff handled my request for an extended stay--booked it weeks before the trip and wasnt handled professionaly. Had to call in 2-3 times thereafter to ensure it has been settled. The place overall is neat--cozy, enough space to move and prop luggage and what not.. Hot shower available, cable channels plus generator ...

It's near the main street of Bacolod -- Lacson Ave -- where most of the happenings and good food places are. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Transportation is of no problem as trikes and taxis can be easily hailed by the concierge, even a shuttle going to the airport! My room was the non-airconditioned one. It's still good. Not hot inside as t...

We are seasoned travellers and my missus was born in Bacolod. The building has seen better days and lacks maintenance. Having said this, it is dirt cheap and suited us because it is bang in the middle of town, walking distance to the market and SM. Shower/toilet and power all worked. If you are used to the Hilton or Marriott this place is not for you but if a backpacke...

We arrived in Bacolod around 2AM . The place can easily be located , it’s just few minutes away from the port (we took Roro from iloilo) The lady who assisted us (forgot her name) did not hesitate when we ask l if we can leave our bags since we are going to Lakawon , super “early check in” . The room has two single beds , what we like about is the large restroom wit...
Cheap places to stay in Bacolod (Negros Occidental)

The nice thing about this hotel is its strategic location which is in downtown Bacolod and accessible anywhere. The other things is that the rate is not so expensive and very affordable. The staff performance is okay, they even assisted us on looking for our rented car. The rooms are decent and comfortable enough for the price. There are repairs though needed for their...

I was in Bacolod for a weekend to attend a friend's wedding. As my flight is early in the morning, I requested for early check in. I was advised that the earliest time they can accommodate is at 12nn. The hotel has clean rooms, good service and very accessible despite its low rate. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and I would recommend to my friends staying there when they are in Bacolod City. The hotel staff are very nice to me and to other guests per my personal observations.

Located at the center of Lopue's East Shopping Center and across from SM Save More Store. Numerous restaurant catering to locals are all over the place and some remain open 24 hours. Major road intersections offers transportation throughout Bacolod City.

BPP or commonly known as Bacolod Pension Plaza is a perfect home away from home. It's very near Bacolod Plaza and the San Sebastian Church along Cuadra street. I also like the room and the very accommodating staff. If there's something that I would suggest, it would be better to highlight that BPP is in Cuadra Street. Along Metrobank and behind Jollibbee as normally, i...

I like everything in it. the location is nice though a bit far from the town proper but since we were in a group of 4, GRAB service was practical. The house itself was very nice, in fact I really love it. 3 rooms (1 with AC) upstairs with bathroom (w/ H & C). Downstairs, a living room w. AC and Flat screen CATV with wifi, a dining area with cute chandelier, a ref, ov...

All the employees over there were very polite, respectful and accommodating. They provided us with a PWD room to accommodate a disabled person, a room big enough for a wheelchair to move around, especially the bathroom. They answered our queries and needs right when we need them. Very accessible to the grocery and mall. We were so comfortable staying at Go Hotels in Ba...

This a renovated hotel located at Bacolod's central business district. The facilities are old but ok and there is free wi-fi available in the room. It is accessible by transportation and near the old Gaisano Mall. It is also ten-minute ride to SM Bacolod. At night there are a lot of street vendors selling cheap roasted chicken, pork or fish (bangus or milkfish. But...

First, a note about the rating. When I booked the room the rating was 8.4, and, as I recall, this was the highest rating of hotels in Bacolod by reviewers. Now, I see the rating is much lower and this is due to a rating of 2 by a lady who gave a positive review. I think she mistakenly thought 2 was, "almost perfect" and not the penultimate worst case scenario. If we...

The location is excellent. The rooms are a bit small and look a bit cheap but the location more than compensates for it. This room type in particular is the best room type for me because it is right beside the pool and there is a bar, hang out area just beside the pool. If you're not too fussy about the rooms, go for it.

The owners and staff went so far out of their way to make my stay pleasant that I haven't adequate words of praise. They made sure I had the opportunity to taste many Philippine fruits and prepared foods for the first time. One male staff member took me on a day trip to the mountain park, Mambukal. When it was time to leave, one guy took me to the bus station and staye...

Luxury hotels in Bacolod (Negros Occidental)

It was a smart decision for me to choose an Airbnb instead of a hotel. The owners are very accommodating. We arrived earlier than supposed to be check-in time (around 10:45am) and they allowed us to check-in early. The unit is new and the furnishings are all high-class. They paid attention to every detail from the cooking needs, utensils, bathroom necessities, up to th...

Very friendly and safe feeling the entire time I was there. I have been many times and always enjoy my stay.
If one is a " budget traveller" - he must visit Bacolod City .This place is a mixture of culture and nature.
I love going back to Bacolod because of it's wide array of food! It truly is a food haven and with very affordable prices.
There is a not alot of things to do in Bacolod but I do find it relax and serene. The place is home to San Sebastian Church (The Cathedral) which been built during the Spanish period.
Bacolod City is a first-class metropolitan area. It is a very safe place for travelers. Just one thing that I suggest is that the government needs to focus on cleanliness on the streets and other public places.
Bacolod is like a mini Manila. My agenda there was not really as a tourist although essentially that was what I was.
Near the hotel, there is a good restaurant " Pepe's restaurant ". It takes one minute on foor to eat good chicken and beef dishes.
Bacolod is indeed the City of Smiles because every Bacolodnon bears a greetful smile on their faces when welcoming visiting guests, friends and family.
The heart of the sugar capital of the Philippines, Bacolod is filled with genuinely friendly people who will be more than happy to tour you around their wonderful city.
Ask the hotel staff about the tour in Bacolod they can assist you and they can refer you the cheapest car/ taxi for the tour.
I will be returning to Bacolod in the next few months. I enjoyed my time in the city and was made to feel very welcome by the local people.
Recommend to visit the place , its one city in the Phils which is really a nice place to stay, good food, nice people, rich culture, past and present.
The highlight of this trip to Bacolod would definitely be the smiles and hospitality of the natives. Land of Smiles ! :)
One of the most pleasant cities in the country. There is still chaos and filth but FAR LESS than in neighbouring cities such as Iloilo or Cebu.
I hated Bacolod at first because of the vehicle exhaust pollution, but once I learned how to avoid that, and found some of the treasures of Bacolod, I began to love the place.
nice place to experience though i only stayed for 2 nights and 1 day, people ar sweet, friendly and acomodating
Make sure you familiarize yourself with the routes of public transport so mapping your tour around the city and nearby towns will be easier and more cost-effective.
You'll need more than five days just so you can eat everything. Seriously, best food in the Philippines.
Bacolod is one of the more pleasant cities in the RP - less filth; fewer beggars and pavement vendors;greater sense of savoir faire; traffic lights!! It still suffers as they all do from urban dereliction and that ever-present stench of drains and ordure (Filipinos generally look surprised: they are so used to it, they don't notice)but it's not as rank as Iloilo or Cebu, for example.
its called the city off smiles I have to say the people in Bacolod are so much more happy then the other cities I seen in phil so many resorts to spend time at I would love to go there for the festable in octoter
After landing in the Bacolod-Silay airport, we had an interesting, bumpy ride aboard a small truck to a Cadiz City community on the foot of Kanlaon.
The city has grown more cosmopolite since the 80's. New network of roads for easy access & wonderful road side vistas.
The Bacolod City is the best place to travel. Very safe and relaxing city. The food and restaurant are very affordable.
Suffice to say there's lots to do in this city, voted number one place to live in the Philippines. Possibly one of the most structured and easy to get round cities I have yet visited in the Philippines.
I loved exploring this city, almost exclusively on foot. The people are so warm and inviting, it is so nice how they treat strangers
my first visit to Bacolod. my trip was to see the Masskara festival in 2013. if you enjoy photography then this festival on the two main days of dancing is an event not to be missed.
Bacolod is a busy city with many hotels, restaurants and places to visit. In October the Masskara Festival takes place for three weeks.
Dont miss to dine in Manukan Country for their authentic "inasal" grilled chicken and in the place called Pala-pala for seafood lovers.
We travel Bacolod with just a map to guide us around, but the people there are so helpful and it makes our travel easier and we were able to go to different places in Bacolod using public transportation.
A place of smiles, as they say about Bacolod and I totally agree. You meet the friendliest people and the great food any where will definitely make you smile.
