"We opted for Klapa resort for the last 2 nights of our stay in Bali. We were impressed from the get-go. Very courteous and organised staff at the reception had everything ready for us and had a smooth check in. They explained all the facilities at the resort. The room was the most spacious I have seen in any hotel and the golf view was very nice. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large bath tub and an additional shower cubicle. Room had ample storage cabinets. Bed was also comfy. Waking up to the rising sun was our best moment in the room after a sound sleep. Breakfast spread and the quality of food was just ok. This could use a bit more attention from the management. Probably the best part of our stay at the resort was the free access to adjoining Klapa beach restaurant and Dreamland beach, especially in this part of Bali very transportation options are limited, this saves you a lot of time and money. We spent a whole evening at the infinity pool overlooking the sea and sunset served by the most attentive staff which was the high point of our stay. The staff at the resort also arranged scooter on rent and meter taxi on time as requested. Overall we had a great couple of nights at Klapa resort and we were extremely happy with our choice. I would highly recommend Klapa resort to any travellers looking for a good accomodation at reasonable prices."

"Read some pretty negative feedbacks here on TripAdvisor on FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach. And to be honest, I was a tad hesitant at first to finalise my booking for my accommodation as I was travelling alone, but I booked furamaxclusive anyways.. and let me tell you, I have zero regrets doing so. I booked the one bedroom suite with furama in Bali and I had an excellent stay! Yes, there were some issues with the air conditioning towards the end of my stay, but the hotel bunked me up to a two bedroom suite so I won’t get stuffed up inside a warm room without any AC. The hotel tried to rectify the issue however due to rainy season and it was pouring outside, engineering couldn’t fix the AC in my room. Thank you front office manager Sumitra for assisting on this and ensuring I had a good sleep. Thank you engineering as well for your effort! On my last day in Bali, unfortunately I fell really sick and I had to make a call to front office in hopes to extend my check out time. Dayu a front office manager assisted so very kindly and extending my check out timing. I was literally throwing up all morning. Dayu didn’t just extend my check out time, she was so sweet to ensure that I reach the airport on time to catch my time, knowing that I was running late. She also helped to assist with my luggage and also checked on me to make sure I wasn’t stuck in the airport alone and that I managed to catch the plane and landed safely in Singapore. Thank you so much Dayu, I truly appreciate your assistance and concern. Do keep in. Touch as I will be back to Bali! Overall, some may say that furama may seem a bit dated with regards to exterior/interior of the hotel. But furama is situated right in front of the beach, stretch of bars/restaurants just minutes walk you will be spoilt by choice, mini marts is only one minute walk away, and best of all, the hotel staffs are the most genuine people there! Great service and great hospitality! Even the restaurant staffs are awesome folks! I "

"Best hotel in Bali. I felt really special and welcomed by staff. Staff welcomed us with flower garland while entering the hotel. Staff were really friendly, helpful and always smiling. I booked this hotel because both rimba and ayana have beautiful pools , restaurants and priority access to rock bar. Being the guest of Rimba we were given the best seat at rock bar. I would highly recommend this hotel. I cannot thank enough to the hotel and staff. We checked out at 12:00 but we had flight at 20:00. Staff allowed us to stay at the hotel and use all the facilities. This really made our day. "

"My family with two young children stayed at the Prama Sabur Beach Bali Hotel in April 2017, for 6 nights. The location was fantastic, being right on the beach which has a gentle gradient. The resort is nestled among other resorts and a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars and spas. We love Sanur for it's old world, laid back feel, quite different from the frenetic sophistication of Seminyak or Canggu. The traffic here is also really light most of the time and we never had any of the dreadful traffic jams we have experienced elsewhere. We had a fourth floor room with direct views of the pool and the beach. It was lovely waking up early to experience the sunrise in the cool of the morning. The two pools were of very good size, with one of them designed for children and featuring an artificial beach and a set of straight and helical slides that the children loved. The staff were more than friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing. If there is any negative point about the Prama, it is their food. We ate breakfast there only once and never again. We found it expensive for what was offered at the buffet . It was clearly mass catering with featureless cooked food, limp waffles, dry pancakes and the lowest grade of jams possible (the type that looks like coloured gel with absolutely no fruit inside of it). There were endless options for breakfast along the beach or on the main street outside so we weren't stuck for choice. There was an Easter Sunday buffet lunch at the Italian restaurant. The food was reasonably good, but very expensive for Bali. The saving grace was that kids under 12 ate for free and there was an Easter party for kids, with egg painting, treasure hunt, bashing a pinata, gift bags and refreshments, all very well organised for the kids. We would come back to the Prama Sanur if we wanted another beach holiday in Bali."

"After 35 visits to Bali and having run Hotels and restaurants for over 15 years I feel I am well able to give a proper review of facilites and what you get for your money in Bali. The Suka Beach Bungalows on Lembongan Island are new Lembongan Hut-style accomodation, angled and facing towards the beach. We booked the A/C suite but didn't turn it on once as the breezes and airflow was fine anyway, but as this is the closest one to the water didn't mind the extra cost to have totally uninterrupted views across to Sanur and Benoa Harbour at night time. There are currently 4 raised Huts with a downstairs outdoor bathroom setup (No Hot water but really it isn't needed) which is fine and the balcony and fixtures are great. Nice big comfy bed as well. Downstairs having your own daybed is a nice touch. Ketut and his lovely family are really good value. The brother apparently does massages but I never saw him do anything while I was there so can't comment on how good or otherwise they are. Ask Ketut if he can get any fish in (which he will if he doesn't already) for some of the best Bonito Tuna you'll ever eat. The rooms aren't serviced daily as these are low dollar accomodation but really a wonderful little find. There is a bit cheaper around but overall you won't regret paying and staying with Ketut and his family. TIPS: believe it or not but there is a Michelin 3 Hat Chef (the Highest rating you can get) on the Island (ask where is Indiana Restaurant)for one of the most memorable meals of your life: You do get what you pay for absolutely in life and this is a must do if you are into fine dining and a sunset to die for. Make sure you book or you will have to settle for a table further back (which is still lovely) but you'd regret it later if you didn't have the "Whole" experience. Five Star all the way.....amazing. "We stayed in Bali for 10 days, and stayed in three different areas and hotels. Ayana is the best one. The price more expensive than others, but we thinking it's value for money. We do enjoy the time we spend in Ayana. Nice resturANT, Good breakfast, a lot of choices. THe rock bar just located in Ayana, so you don't have to wait. The staff in Ayana very nice, friendly, and professinal. The room is nice and clean. Beatiful view from our room, even in raining day. The spa was good, very relex. We think Ayana will be the only hotel we will stay when we come to Bali again. After Ayana, we have changed to another 5 star hotel in Ubud, the hotel in ubud is also good, but compare to Ayana, Ayana liked a 6 star hotel in Bali."

"This was my third trip to Bali since first visiting in 1977.I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Bali and would recommend this establishment very highly.Certainly it is a quieter and nicer venue than most (in this price range)in the Kuta area.We preferred to stay a little further out from the bustle and noise of Kuta.It has great grounds and a good quality/size pool. The hotel's shuttle will take you to Kuta but you must make your own way back.A metered taxi costs an average of 50,000 rupiah, (and about US$5 doesn't break the bank). I would recommend it and stay there again.Great shopping can be had between Kuta and the hotel. Nearby resturants are cheap an well worthy of a visit."

It's a very personal place with exquisite quality all around. You have to drive to ger around but the view is amazing. Definitely try it if you are in the market for excellence when coming to Bali. "

"Ulun Ubud is a very stylish & well designed + decorated hotel. The view is breathtaking and helps to calm down from busy Ubud life. The sights are just a 5-15 min drive away.Food (breakfast & lunch) was very delicious & well prepared. 3 drawbacks: The staff is very well trained, although I have to say,as in all other Bali hotels so far, their English needs to improve. Questions & longer sentences were often only understood when I repeated them slowly. Also, they are overservicing a bit - it becomes annoying. Schedules for cleaning & their free shuttle are inflexible. So,staff knocks on your door (no door sign) 2-3x/day to clean your room - not great for relaxation. Shuttle did only run from 9am-5pm every hour.No chance to go out for dinner to Ubud for free. It's a bit noisy,as loggias have open wooden carvings & no doors. One tip:Ulun Ubud has many stairs down to the rooms & up to front desk & restaurant. So you need to be in a good physical condition to be able to cope with them."

"location is great. Not to far from the nightlife and beach. I liked the idea of the 2 pools. A quiet one where I can relax. The other was more of a party area which suited my younger friends. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable. The only fault I could pick with this hotel was that the Internet in the room was not good. I need to work online now and again which I could not do in the comfort of my room. I had to sit in the restaurant for a good signal when I needed to do work. I found this problem in most of the 4 star hotels in Bali. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay"

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
