Where to stay in Bintan Island
Bintan Island hotels & accommodations

Browsing through Agoda for a unique and quiet location to celebrate my wife's birthday celebration. Thankfully I chanced upon Holiday Villa Pantai Indah Bintan Island. The staffs were very responsive over my queries via email. Upon arrival, my wife and I were overwhelmed by the unit, it was so spacious and definitely a great place to chill and relax. The staff for hou...

Upon arrival Bintan island, there is a Banyan Tree service centre at the immigration hall. There is no free shuttle bus to the resort provided. The staff at the service centre would arrange you a taxi to the resort for US$25 for a return ride. I reckon it's a reasonable price as the ride takes about 15 minutes one way. There is no difference if you ask the taxi drivers...

We spent 3 days in Canopi in bintan Island. Main attraction of this site is the lagoon. Which is 1km long. Nice and clean sea water lagoon. Beautiful atmosphere in the morning and evening. The tent was cool but not 100% clean. Buffet breakfast was good. Activities are very expensive. Food is very expensive in Canopi. No Uber. Taxi service is bit expensive. Major attra...

Better service than we received at the Banyan Tree during the same stay on Bintan Island. The Residence Bintan is a great place for a quiet beach holiday with family, both young and old. The service was without fault during our entire 9 night stay, friendly, thoughtful and highly professional. The day spa is a must with lovely treatment rooms. Lots of chances to recon...

We were very happy with our stay in Cassia, after reading quite negative reviews from other guests who had reviewed the place. Cassia is a light-hearted and relaxing resort, which allowed you to be spontaneous and relaxed for a beach holiday. The staff were all very hospitable and friendly, even bringing us to special spots near the resort like the One Tree Hill and th...

This hotel is very comfortable for our family, and I recommend you to stay if you come to Bintan island. All the staffs are always smiling, and it makes us happy when we stay at this hotel. Especially we stayed at the family room, which had good scenery through the room garden. Spa was also good for my wife, swimming pool has good atmosphere, and the beach and sea is c...

I was having a 2d1n short getaway with my gf in this resort. When I was Google-ing for an accommodation on Bintan Island, I was so attracted by their villa on the sea with balcony of sunrise view. I would like to give my gf a birthday surprise trip and I thought she would be so happy to stay in this kampung-style resort. The transportation from ferry terminal to the re...

My bf and I had our first short trip and decided to go to this hotel in Bintan. Indeed we made a very good choice. The hotel is beautiful, the room is spacious and the amenities are new. We are on the highest floor and the view from our room is awesome. The lake view on the left side and Plaza Lagoi and the sea view on the right. There is also an entertainment room whe...

We visited with three little toddlers age - 6, 4 & 3. It was good value for money, the boat ride was directly to the hotel with the immigration within the hotel grounds. Food is a little expensive and its only available in the hotel. Overall, it was a good trip and this would be my top choice for a hotel in Bintan.

We instantly fell in love with this place among all resorts in Bintan. Gorgeous infinity pool, clean and well furnished rooms, best beach area in Bintan, nice massage place, staff are welcoming and very approachable. Peaceful and relaxing the whole time we were here. Breakfast is simple but we love the nasi lemak! Only minimal issue is that the bees love to hang where...

Nestled among the lush greenery and woods, De Bintan Villa has lived up to our expectations with wonderful service provided by sincere staff and a peaceful ambience. Food at the in-house restaurant was really delicious. They serve traditional nasi goreng, mee goreng and the likes in addition to wok-fried food, soupy dishes and freshwater fish. It was surprising that th...

If you want to have a relaxing journey at Bintan with the following conditions, Mutiara Beach Resort must be the Top priority choice for you. 1. Private Beach: Unlike other beach at the northern resorts of Bintan, the beach at Mutiara is like a private beach for us with a few of tourists nearby. It is definitely good for couple and family to stay. You can enjoy your a...

It was our first time visiting Bintan Island and we never regret choosing Lagoi Bay Villa for our stay. We celebrated our anniversary and the staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped me out on the decoration to be done at odd hour and helped me to buy a bouquet of roses as well, which I am very thankful for. I would say the room layout is very nice...

I hate the big cheesy resorts on Bintan Island, but this was so good. Close to the beach in lovely bungalows. Extremely high value for money for being on Bintan Island. Very close to an exellent local fish and shellfood restaurant. Very polite staff. Recommended for everyone going to Bintan and dosen't want to be on one of the huge (and terrible) resorts. LOVE Marjoly!...

I was on a 3D2N snorkelling and shore-fishing trip. We had a spacious cabin to lay out the fishing gear. Since we have food allergies, we had to cook our own food over a hiking stove. The staff allowed us to store our perishables in their refrigerator without any questions (and even our beer). They do have a bar and at least two varieties of beer on the beach itself. I...

If you'd like to experience the beauty of Bintan without spending too much, consider staying in this lovely apartment very near to hawker station, ferry terminal and treasure bay island. Room is clean. Big space for a family/group at a cheap price. Got mine for $36 USD from Agoda. 2 bedroom good for 4 people.

We were a group of 5 French girls working in Singapore and wanting a low cost trip for Good Friday. We had a wonderful stay at Bintan Hotel Nirwana ! Firstly, the hotel will arrange free transportation for you when arriving at Tanjung Pinang harbour (and yes they will wait for you if the ferry is late). Then, the location of the hotel is good if like us you want to hav...

1hour drive from Ferry station, in the quiet area of Bintan island, east side so water is cleaner (i assume than the side across Singapore). The resort location is great overlooking directly the beach, has 2 swimming pools (1 under renovation when i was there). The lowtide gets too far off the shore for about the entire afternoon. Sunmoon island restaurant has a lot of...

I had a pleasant 2-nights stay in Aston Tanjung Pinang Hotel. The large room size and good facilities assure the comfort. The location is very close to the airport but far to Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal and the resorts at the North of the Bintan Island. It may cost over SGD50 for the return journey. You should therefore get the ferry ticket to Tanjung Pinang Fe...

I wanted to go bintan with friends on 1st day of chinese new year however due to ill planning we missed the ferry. We took ferry to batam instead and decide to go to bintan from there. We called halim hotel but due to communication barrier we could not get a conclusion from halim hotel. We called a last time to halim hotel after 2 failed calls to gather information and...

We travel to Bintan as a couple. This is actually our second trip. On our first trip we came through BBT, which is the port at the resort and it is pretty much the secluded part of the island. For this time, we want to see the people and the city. And we are so lucky to find Panorama, it is quite close to the port & the city. Even if it is close, the hotel also gives c...

Paradise Hotel is a wonderful hotel located at Tanjung Pinang, Bintan. Most tourists to the island prefer to stay in the resort area. This place has very few hotels that offer a comfortable stay. Paradise is one of them. The staff was generous enough to upgrade my standard room to a suite because a standard room was not available. Then when my group decided to extend o...

Place was nice and a bit far from city. Beach not so good and full jelly fishes. The sand was full of sand flies and no body from hotel informed us except jelly fish. We all family affected badly and still my Herath HMPK continuing medical treatments. The bite was so bad and I rushed to emergency care of NUH Singapore early morning 0430 hrs. I was unable to breath. Lu...

This is not an international hotel. But given its price, I consider this "good value for money". If your destination is the city of Tanjung Pinang, not the resort in the north of Bintan Island, this hotel is a good option. It is only 10-15 minutes walk to the ferry port that goes to Batam island and Penyengat island. Very easy to catch the minibus that travels surround...

Thank you so much to Pak Alam and driver Yogi who are pleasant and very accomodating. Hotel is extending and hope the hotel will have lift or ground floor rooms for easy accesiblity for couples like us. Kindly provide free shuttle to the shopping mall nearby. Keep up the good job done.

I booked at Bintan Beach Resort when I was doing a city tour for Tanjung Pinang. Although it's away from the Bintan Resorts, it's a good place if you are planning to tour Tanjung Pinang. I booked the room for a night at a cheap price. The room was clean, the toiletry kits were complete. I just saw one small cockroach near the door, but I wasn't a sensitive person so i...

Service was extremely good with the staffs being there for you when you need something. However, if you're up or traveling and sight seeing around bintan, charter your own transport as the resort's shuttle service only brings you to their sister resort. One of the cons is that as this resort is new, the menu option wise is always the same, would suggest them to have ...
Cheap places to stay in Bintan Island

Good location around 6 mins walk from Ferry terminal, room facing the sea, below of hotel, you can find a coffee shop that are selling drink and finger foods, staff are polite and nice, room are spacious, but facility are bit old, the first night, the broadsheet is not clean, obviously let me check in to unclean room, but i'm tired so i just ignore, the second time i ...

We booked this resort on Wednesday and came to Bintan Island on Friday afternoon, so we missed the time to book some resort in the northern area for that weekend, but thanks to Laguna Restaurant and Resort, we really enjoyed our weekend on Bintan Island. We booked this hotel since it offers inexpensive price and possesses the beautiful view along the Tikorah Beach. We ...

That hotel is affordable and is good enough for short stay. There got a supermarket and some restaurant within some walking distance. Cleanliness of the wash room need to improve. Breakfast provided does not have much option. However, their television have many channels for you to watch.

It was a value for money deal only for stay if you want to stay for cheap. Friendly staff, they made calls on my behalf to ferry terminal, did not even charge money. Food is not so good. There was a miss comunication between the management so there is no more air conditioning deluxe room. but they quickly settle the problem by giving me a family room with air conditioning which is bigger than deluxe room. well, i stayed 2 nights at nirwana beach club and i enjoyed it a lot. my family and i love the beach and food the most. but, rooms a bit far from the main road or restaurants. it is like isolated. free buggy rides for guests will tally with the excellent service :) in addition, the nirwana garden resorts is green and we like the nirwana mini-zoo. perhaps it's the best ...

this is one of those hotel groups i would bring my family/friends to over and over again. i've stayed in different room types and all is just unique and equally good. there are many activities to do, my favorite is riding on electric bike or driving buggy in the compound, it's really fun (& safe) too. downside: all fun comes with sgd$$$$$(xn), very often we leave by sa...

The pleasentness of the staff, be it at the reception or restaurent, presented a friendly and warm heart felt experience. Even though at times language was a barrier it did not matter as they try their best to find fellow colleagues around them to arrest any problems or queries that might arise. Having such presence and caliber of individuals allowed various tourists o...

Booked the seaview chalets right at the beach; open, wide beach which we basically had for ourselves as there were only few other hotel guests. Restaurant at the Mayan Sari (called "Spice") had delicious local Indonesian as well as India food. Beach club is walking distance and offers various water sports and activities. Resort center is a little further away, 15min wa...

I have spent a few weekends and short holidays in Bintan in the past few years while I was leaving in Singapore. Real reviews for hotels
Bintan Island is good for golf and high end resort. But Tanjung Pinag city is boring, not much thing to do.
2nd time to Bintan. Realize that things is getting quite expensive. Something that I do not like is that whenever you try to purchase food or even phone card and they know you are tourist, they will mark up the price which i find it quite disgusting even though some local in front of me bought the same thing as me.
If you are going to be staying at the Bintan Resort area, be prepared to spend a lot of money. I didn't.
Tanjung Pinang and Bintan attractions (like Nirwana, Trikora etc) is 1 hour apart. So don't get confused coz Tanjung Pinang is basically for mature adults who prefers spas and shop wheres Bintan are where 5 star hotels and blue beaches with attractions for children are.
clean beaches, good weather. various resorts and spots to enjoy yourself. about an hour's ferry ride away from Singapore.
Bintan is something new to me, simple in everything. I appreciate its being unique among other places.
The disadvantage of this Island is, all of the places required minimum 45 mins - 1 hours driving duration.
nothing much to see or do. if you just wanna a place to hang around and do nothing by the beach then ok.
It recommeded to book your day tour there for a day and so that they can recommend you the attraction and bring you to their attractions with any hassel.
Clean beaches, lots of nice resorts, good services. Everything that Bali can offer but less crowded and commercialized.
Beautiful and peaceful island. Nice beaches around. Nature. Everything there are quite pricey especially around resort area.
A very good place for relaxation, solitude and gatherings for family and friends. The beach is rather clean and nice.
acceassiblity wise they are working on it and they constructed roads for easy access:)and it takes shorter time to trave;l both ends
Not much to really venture in Bintan, BAsically its a place for R&R... so beach, sand, and relaxation.
good for golfers since there are 4 golf course within 30 mins drive. other than that it might be a little boring with nothing to do than just chill on the balcony or pool.
One night is more than enough, nothing much you can do here, only go to beach and enjoy seafood and local food.
Much of the activities available in Bintan is resort dependent. The city barely has proper shopping malls.
nice place to stay. lucky to have upgrade rooms. food is great. want to come over again. i love the place.
As this is my first trip to Bintan Island and to Lagoi area I will want to travel to other parts of Bintan to see the whole of Bintan Island in the near future.
have no enough time to go diving and fishing, besides, it is a pity that I do not find the Batam Dolphin Lodge Tour.
rich in culture. delicious and cheap local food. cheapest household products. lots of cheap imitation goods
In Bintan, the primary forest cover was in a limited area on the hills. There was extensive deforestation done mostly for the cultivation of gambier (Uncaria gembieri).
Bintan Island is really an awesome place which close to Singapore and easy to access. People are nice and lots of outdoor activities and sightseeing spots.
It is a good place for volation and relaxation but not a good place for shopping and dinning. The food is quite expensive at the resort area.
Mangrove is highly recommended! also you may spend some time on the north or east coast beach and play some sea sports
I have only visited Bintan twice. The resorts are definitely luxurious and it's a rewarding experience stay there for a few days.
ok, beach quite good. activity wise ok-got beach activities. All beaches not very clean though. Bit touristy.
Very quiet and an appropriate place to just relax and enjoy the morning walk by the beach and dinner at seafood kelong.
Bintan Resort centre contain some shops, bowling alley, food court and massage place. Short walk from Nirwana Gardens Hotel (5 mins).
It was my first time when I went over to Bintan. It is slightly still underdeveloped as compared to Batam which is great.
