Darwin hotels & accommodations
Very spacious and very stylish... value for money, a 3 bedroom unit on special was $120.. we stayed they're every chance we could. I have stayed at many expensive hotels in Darwin and by far this is my favourite. Staff a super friendly and we'll go out of their way to help you.. I have heard some people complain because the office is not open on the weekend but thei...
I stay here at least twice a year and its usually pretty good with the noise, this time though we had some noisy folk outside their room after 11pm. I know... its not that late but when you have to get up at 6am, it is... and of course I dont want them to stop having a good time, but perhaps they could do that back at the pub or inside their room instead of bringin it ...
Due to my work situation I have stayed in many hotels in Darwin. As far as value for money taking into account the position, facilities & quality of the hotel in general, there is none better in Darwin.
The leoom was modern ran with an excellent bathroom with large shower. The double bed was firm and great for sinking into slumberland. The smorgasbord has a great range of tasty seafoods, pasta, meats and desserts ... The staff were courteous and helpful from the reception, to the restaurant staff and to the housekeeping personnel. It's a Hotel that we would definitely...
First time with Mercure, , had no idea when we booked what it would be like, was pleasantly surprised of the lovely first impression when pulling up to book in ... We felt we were in Bali... loved it. Fantastic! I've lived in most hotels in Darwin. Stayed here 1 night. Brilliant!
after reading so may unfavourable reviews of hotels in darwin, i was not sure what to expect with my stay at the mantra given it seemed to be the best of a bad bunch but this place was modern, spacious and really exceeded my expectations. i stayed in a harbour view room and it was definitely worth paying extra for the upgrade. i had a balcony overlooking the beach and ...
Club Tropical is a lovely resort hidden in the suburbs of Darwin. It probably doesn’t get the recognition it deserves because it’s location isn’t in the city and therefore, people are missing out on its peacefulness. It is modern, has a great big pool that the kids loved, and has a restaurant on the site. I’ll be coming back here and will probably make it our go to hot...
We really enjoyed our stay at Ramada Zen in Darwin. Room was a good size, bed comfortable, close to the city, wonderful pool and the staff were excellent. Add a great breakfast to that and it was almost perfect! We unfortunately were there over the Darwin Cup weekend which put the room rates through the roof, but that was our fault. Don't think we could find fault anyw...
This was our first stop in Darwin after travelling there on The Ghan from Adelaide. After a short hiccup of trying to find our booking; we found the staff to be most helpful going the extra mile of upgrading us into a better accommodation than we had booked. The staff on duty also helped us with our "pick up" for the next morning from Viator tours as we were cut off on...
After a very disappointing stay at the Darwin Waterfront we cancelled a booking there and instead booked into Rydges at Palmerston. Initially we had a normal room but later moved into one of their apartments, which provided all the facilities of a home. The staff were very accommodating, efficient and professional with nothing appearing to be too daunting. Housekeepin...
As anyone to travels to Darwin knows, planes get into Darwin at terrible times! We live a 12 hour drive from Darwin, so we need a hotel to rest up as every flight travels overnight and arrives at 4-6am. Hotels will not let you check in at 5am, not unless you pay for two nights. We went on a whim to the travelodge and we got a room at 5am for under $100, and only had ...
Amazing and comfortable stay in Coconut Grove Holiday Apartments. Its better apart hotel In Darwin. very comfortable rooms, some have kitchenette. With good internet, all kitchen stuff, parking place with option - free car wash, laundry and dry room. Close to airport, 10 minutes by car. Coles an Woolforth is 10 minutes drive. We stay here 3 nights, two times and will ...
3 bedroom Appt Seaview PROS: Excellent Views Spacious Easy to clean Great place to stay, plenty of room to have your own space when in a group of people. Convenient location Safe & Secure Great park across the road with huge adventure play ground for kids and lots of walking tracks bedsides the sea/ harbor. CONS: 4x4 (2.5inch lifted) wouldnt fit in carpark, was off...
We stay here a few times a year. It's our preferred hotel in Darwin, with the location on the waterfront right by the swimming lagoon and plenty of restaurants nearby. It's only a short walk (with a lift to take you up the hill) into town, with public transport nearby as well. Whilst small, the pool and spa area is nice, with a window for orders at the adjacent bar and...
We stayed here due to needing to spend one night in Darwin at the end of our holiday. We knew that we were within the airport grounds and were expecting to hear planes coming and going all night, however we didn't hear a single plane from the room! The staff were attentive and friendly and we enjoyed dinner in the chinese restaurant on site. Would definitely stay here ...
Comfy beds and big lockers in room, but showers need a proper clean and staff was very brief and not very friendly. Cheapest hostel in Darwin and the pther hostels ain’t any cleaner. Wifi isn’t really working.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Western Darwin Airport Gateway Motel, the hotel is situated close to airport. The motel was quiet and the staff are attentive. The room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend friends and Business travelers to stay here as it is close to airport, shops and minutes from the city center by car or public transport. I ...
We had stayed at Luma Luma previously, so when we decided to spend five days in Darwin we wanted a place that offered facilities for some self-catering. We stayed in one of the studio apartments with a decently equipped kitchenette which was perfect for us. The place is perfect for sightseeing as it is easy walking distance to all attractions, restaurants, shops, cafes...
We walked into the Pandanas after a three day basic 4 wheel drive camping trip with high expectations and were not disappointed. Although we had booked a city view room we were pleased to see a panoramic view of Darwin Harbour from our 14th floor balcony. The hotel is easy walking distance to local attractions and restaurants. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorat...
We were supposed to stay with Darwin friends upon arrival on a red eye from Bali and 20 hours of travel...but they had to go to Perth! I booked through Agoda and rang the hotel to ask for an early check-in, explaining our desire to put head to pillow well before 2pm. No problem they said, and organised housekeeping to clean our room first...ready at 10am. Once we arriv...
we enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is well located and the rate included breakfast. we have stayed in others hotels in darwin but would choose to stay here again. the disappointment we had was with the lunch in the restaurant, poor service and even worse food but there are plenty of other options around and next time we will go out. the check in was fantastic and the ...
Our stay at Sky City Darwin Hotel was very relaxing and enjoyable. The service of all the staff were excellent, specially the reception, room service, concierge, very helpful, polite and friendly. The Casino, the restaurants/bars, infinity pool and spa were good places for entertainment. The ocean and garden view from our room balcony was outstanding. Also the vicinity ...
PROS: Large beds with excellent bedding. Decent bathrooms. Rooms had washing machines / dryers attached. Good, working air conditioners and excellent saltwater pool, which are a must in Darwin. Pleasant staff. CONS: Very basic breakfast (cereal, juice and toast) incurred an $8 charge, which was a little miserly. Room had constant smell of damp - some mould growing o...
Adina apartments is located in the best part of Darwin. All rooms are well appointed and the staff are all friendly and professional. Breakfast and room service food was delicious. Improvements could be made to the pool area and to wifi speed and access.
This hotel was a not a fancy hotel and the decor is a bit out dated however it was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable, the water in the shower was hot and they provided plenty of tea and coffee. It is within walking distance of restaurants the heart of Darwin itself. The staff were wonderful and extremely friendly.
we arrived and were upgraded to a spacious suite! the hotel was in very good condition, clean and everything worked well. the breakfast was very tasty, huge range and quite substantial. we walked to the botanical gardens and gallery and really enjoyed the realxed feel of darwin. the hotel was close to restaurants and supermarket for the things we'd left at home!
Located in a great location in Darwin , just 400 metres from Woolworths and a short walk to smith street mall , Mitchell street and the water front . Staff were very helpful with the baby cot for us . Great view from our apartment on the 9th floor .
I live in Darwin, but after a few stressful weeks at work I thought I'd shout myself some time in the city for a change. Signature on Woods was a fantastic choice - well located to walk to restaurants, but quiet at night. Spotlessly clean. Balcony was great to take in the views. I absolutely couldn't fault it.
Cheap places to stay in Darwin
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time spent living here (waaay longer than anticipated), and have since made heaps of good memories + countless friends. The place has this sort of communal, anarcho-squathouse type vibe to it, which I enjoy. Biggest complaint is the abject lack of ventilation in (some of) the bathrooms/showers (total sweat-fest)... There also seems to be no ...
Definitely recommend staying here, the hostel is very clean and the beds are comfy and AC works well. The best part about the hostel is the staff and friendly atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly and sometimes all make dinner together and have drinks outside. No bar in the place which means you can save money buying drinks at the supermarket. Also lots of fridges for...
Unfortunately didnt get to stay here as it was temporary closed for renovation. Was surprised and puzzled for a while upon arriivinh at the hostel. However, was diverted to Youth Shack down the road. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Check in was at ease. I rented a bath towel and it was worthy as clean and comfy. Crowd was cool. Impressed with the room...
Being very disappointed in another Darwin hostel before, I decided to give the (slightly more expensive) YHA a shot. I am very happy I did so, as it was definitely worth the extra money. Staff is super nice - I unfortunately didn't ask her name, but the lady with the black hair with a short fringe who checked me in on the 29th, you are so sweet and helpful!! Luggage ro...

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Darwin. There are many restaurants, bars around the hotel as well as shopping center, coles. You can also find many tourist agencies. It's easy to check in and check out. A tall guy at the reception is friendly&helpful. When I forgot a keygard and ask him for help, he didn't hesitate to unlock a room for me. My room is qui...
I didn't expect anything but everything is clean and good. Especially closed to city and mindil beach
Clean, quiet in the dorms and friendly staff.
Everything was good about this Hotel, amenities, staff, restaurant and price. As with many other reviews for this hotel you do need to allow for the fact that it is a popular hotel in Darwin and as is not uncommon in Darwin, it has open air drinking/eating facilities with music. When crowded the chatter and laughter gets louder, all usual stuff. Just be warned and do ...
We stayed with older child. Two double beds in huge room with modern quiet aircon and digital TV with foxtel. Fridge and kettle and clean hot shower. Free wifi was good but occasionally drop out depending on which room you in. The downstairs restaurant has excellent meals and great prices. The bar has also some bbq on Thursday/Friday/Saturday afternoon when exotic fe...

Well equipped caravan, good kitchen , onsite, reasonable price, nice staff 30 min from Darwin. The wasn't hot water in caravan, fire alarm worked without any reason few times after 23:00.
Really enjoyed my 7 night stay at H on Mitchell! It’s a 10 min walk to the city centre. Lovely location opposite the Darwin waterfront (The Esplanade) where you can see the mangroves and blue water. I stayed 6 nights in a one bedroom apartment and one night in a studio room. I wasn’t happy when I checked in as the phone wasn’t working, the balcony door wouldn’t loc...
After arriving at Darwin Airport this was the perfect place for the first night, before picking up the campervan. Great location, great pub and market next door and very helpful staff. Would choose this motel again!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Barramundi lodge and I would definitely stay again. The location was great, quiet and only a 5 minute walk to mindil beach and the sunset markets and a 15 minute walk into the city centre. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The swimming pool area was great for relaxing

I've stayed twice at this hotel. The first was in a 'city view' room on level 3. All good. Spacious, clean and quiet. I think I got it a bit cheaper than normal so it was good value for money. The second time was a few days later in a 'çabana' room next to the pool. This room was in need of a bit of a update with everything appearing to be a bit tired. The bathroom was...
We had a difficult time finding a hotel in Darwin that fit our family for that night. Stayed here a couple of times for connecting flights to Indonesia. Cheap for Darwin. Older style building, but well kept. Close to airport, markets and restaurants. Darwin accommodation is generally quite overpriced - Paravista is the best value hotel here by far.
Honestly I have stayed in most of the hotels in Darwin for work and I must say I wish I had of found this place earlier, great two bed room apartment

Fortunately the cabin was far superior to the staff. Why a company would put so much expenditure into a venture like this and no effort into staff is beyond my comprehension. I've stayed in almost every hotel in Darwin, many are unremarkable, some just terrible, however this hotel has really made an impression. Howard Spring Holiday Park's self-contained cabin is a unique experience for us coming from Singapore. Although it's small but it has everything we need. It is the perfect place for a holiday. We didn't want to do any sightseeing this time and just wanted to chill out and relax.
Darwin is a wonderfully laid back city. People are friendly and there is plenty to see in Darwin and masses of opportunities for activities and sightseeing out of the city and surrounding countryside.
Holiday atmosphere. High quality F&B. Airport Shuttle service to the city from the airport requires improvement as you will never be able to catch it if you are on an international flight.
Do visit the Museum if you have time. It is a short bus ride out of the main city and admission is free.
A very laid back city with good shopping centres, great entertainment precinct & a good variety of restaurants to choose from.
A great city with a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of adventures to take as day trips to wonderful locations and then spend some time wandering and relaxing at the Waterfront Precinct.
Thouroughly enjoyed the two days in Darwin, WWII experinece, Mindil Beach Markets, Museum of arts & Culture, Botanic Gardens, The wharf Fish & Chips plus the Seafood & Steak bistro (on left at start of same), and the croc building in centre of town were all execellent.
Fabulous climate in dry season- tropical growth and beautiful streets along the bay and elsewhere- many green spaces- many highrise apartments- harbor precinct a winner- free access to so much of interest- disabled access not v.
Couldn't beleve how quiet the city centr was, coming from a busy city like sydney we found it quite amazing how it was so quiet with plenty of Main Street parking still available around 10 am.
The most amazing place to visit is the wildlife park at berry springs. All ages would have a most enjoyable time.
Quiet city and laid back. Humid and sunny. It is a city for you to be yourself in your shorts and thongs.
Darwin was a pleasant surprise. I used Darwin as a launching pad to Asia using Malaysian Airlines (stayed 2 days).
Darwin has a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We found people very helpful and considerate. Thoroughly enjoyed dining in various locations in and around Darwin.
Bus so easy to get around on. Great value with return ticket within 3 hours and excellent cost for seniors.
Not a destination in itself. Fine as a stopover to explore the top end but I wouldn't stay more than a night or two at the most in the city itself.
military museum, city mall, harbour, wave pool, croc jumbing, crocodillis, parks and art museum Fanny Bay, mindi markets, day and 2 day tours, hire car
Really enjoyed the city, the festival, the wonderful sea, and all the trips we did from here to the nature parks
Darwin in the dry season is a very relaxed warm regional city that is currently experience significant growth - it is central to visiting significant natural and cultural centres - ranging from Kakadu, Katherine Gorge and Leitchfield - each of these locations providing varied experiences, enjoyment and sights
Visited Darwin many times and love the place, however the domestic airport departure terminal is a disgrace.
if you are going for Jumping Crocs you can skip Crocsaurus Cove. For a nice relaxing afternoon under the sun, visit the Darwin waterfront.
Darwin is not very big city.just small town.tidy nice and clean.no far away from the beach and shopping centre.
Darwin is a very different city as the season changes from wet to dry; the whole town changes once the dry arrives in May.
One of the attractions around Darwin (but not an available selection in the Agoda dropdown menu here) is the Aviation Heritage Centre.
Darwin is a town inhabited by rude arrogant locals (of course with some exceptions),service being notoriously bad.
Visiting Darwin will not be complete without paying a visit to the national parks like Litchfield, Kakadu and Katherine Gorge.
Darwin is a fantastic destination to start to explore the Northern Territory. A relaxed atmosphere and great warm nights allows for a brief sense of luxuary to travel into the harsh tropics of the region.
Just nice to visit darwin. not many traffic like any other town i used to visit. people are friendly and helpful.
Darwin is lovely but the airport is no good. At the domestic terminal there is inadequate seating and no showers.
Darwin is more expensive than any other cities in Australia, but he has alot potential to offer for sight seeing and also Adventure Holiday, unfortunately it is not competitive compared to other places.
Darwin is much more expensive than any other cities in Australia. Though it is rich with its historical and cultural background, it has nothing much to offer for shopping/sightseing.
