Genting Highlands hotels & places to stay

In overall our stay is excellent. We booked the deluxe room so we don't need to experience long queue like people who book the standard room. We had our breakfast on the top floor of tower 1 and the food is good. Some local delicacies are excellent, but too spicy to digest in the morning. Need to improve on the variety of the food. Compared to the other hotels in Genting Highland, I think the First world hotel is the best.

Definitely one of the better hotels in Genting Highlands. Staff were friendly, facilities were good, good breakfast served. On-going construction for more hotel blocks on-going, reckon the place will get congested when the hotel goes into ‘full-swing’ with all rooms opened. The road leading to the hotel is only one lane (2 ways), reckon it will get congested too in near future. Nevertheless, our experience with this hotel was really good, recommended.

The location is ideal as it is near to most attractions in Genting Highlands. The breakfast package was very worthy, I would recommend alone to go for it. The staff were really friendly too, making us felt welcomed. However, the only con is its distance to the parking lot and you'll need to go a whole big round after leaving the carpark to pick up family members back at the hotel.

this hotel stay has been a total surprise for us. it all started out with my silly mistake assuming that awana genting highlands golf and country resort is one of the hotels on the summit of the genting highlands. when we arrived at the the summit, we searched around for a hotel by this name, and finally we gave up and approached one of the hotel receptionist in the area. she told us that we have made a mistake in our hotel bookings and the one that we have actually reserved is another hotel elsewhere. we were quite shocked by this blunder, we even contemplated giving up our original bookings in the awana genting highlands golf and country resort and just settled for any available rooms that we can find at the summit. however after a quick discussion, we decided against this rash idea as we are quite attracted by the room photos that we saw during our hotel booking on agoda. grudgingly, we made our way to the golf and country resort. when we arrived at this correct hotel and we stepped into the room, we are very impressed with what we got!!! the room is huge; the balcony that overlooks the golf greens was wonderful; the resort restaurant that we settled for our dinner had a very picturesque overview of the landscape. all these aside, there was a shutter service that runs from this resort to the genting summit at a 30 min frequency (day time) to 1 hr frequency (wee hours in the night). this makes traveling to the genting summit a non-issue for us and in the end we get to enjoy both a wonderful stay in this resort and a fun-time at the genting summit.

the hotel is near from first world hotel or resort hotel. Its easy to find if U finally know where. but no signboard from genting highland. U must ask any people around the mall to find that. 1st time I came here finally with taxi bcause I dont know where the hotel is. Taxi is hard to find to come your hotel but U must find harder. The good point of this hotel is only cheap and maybe cleanlines and near from first world. the minus is no facility, 1st time must find it, no breakfast and hard to find taxi if U want to go back genting with skyway.

The Check-In was smooth (Thanks to Patrick from frontdesk, who was patient enough to give all information). The Room was Clean and Spacious, and ofcourse had an Amazing view. Lots of restaurants (Chinese, Japanese, Indian/Arabic, and others) were just one floor above the Main lobby of the Hotel. Casino can also be accessed directly from the Hotel Lobby. In my opinion, of all the Hotels at the Highland, the Maxims was best placed (in terms of location) and also value for money. Would only stay at this property whenever I go to Genting. P:S The Hotel was Kind enough to arrange a floral decoration in the room for my wife’s Birthday. Special Thanks to the Team for their amazing gesture.

the standard family room have no fridge. Only the restroom is upgraded and the room condition is a bit old. We got the room with front view of hotel. it is quite nice. The hotel is located within the Gotong Jaya, a lot of non-hala food around the hotel and we love the korean food nearby the hotel. Strawberry farm is just walking distance from hotel. Need to take taxi to cable car station (RM15) and take about 10-15mins. i suggested to take the cable car and go up to genting mounting and then take free shuttle bus to Chin Swe temple. If you want to go up by taxi to genting highland, the fare is about RM70. drop by chin swee temple for 1 hour and go up to genting highland. unfortunately, the resort world playground is closed for renovation and said open by next year January 2017. Overall, the hotel place is located at good place if you dont like to stay up genting highland mountain.

Resort Hotel is a mid-tier hotel in Genting Highlands. Clean, adequate. Two single beds are super singles. Bathroom has rain shower as well as hand-shower, no bathtub. 2 bottles complimentary water. No free wifi in rooms; only free wifi (good signal) in lobby area. Buy mobile data from digi (in genting sky avenue mall). I used data pack from maxis bought in KL (very good signal - cheap about S$7 for almost 1 gb + RM5 voice calls for 10 days period). Rooms facing cable-car and greenery have good view but a bit noisy from the mosque calls. Transtar coaches are taken from B5 basement with direct lifts from Resort Hotel, so very convenient. Food - Food court and cafe in B5 using lifts. Use escalators to Marry Brown fast food and other cafes, or another set of escalators then walk abt 5-10mins to Malaysian Street Food Court, or walk a bit further 10-15 mins to First World food areas.

We had a very excellent experience in Genting Grand Hotel, this is the most expensive and most luxury in Genting Highlands, the hotel itself don't have much shopping or dining options, but don't worry, you can reach First World Plaza in 5 minutes by walk, and walk inside the building (connected building). The room is fully equipped, the amazing thing is the hotel provides you a Nespresso machine with 3 capsules every day. The breakfast is awesome with many choices. We will choose Genting Grand Hotel again in the next visit to Genting Highlands.

Had a good stay at this place, first of all it is in a quiet location and the apartment is very well maintained and clean. Host was also very nice and helpful. It is located about 5 minutes away from the Skyway cable car to Genting Highlands, or you can drive up there yourself. The Skyway is also where the Outlet Mall is, so you can spend half a day shopping there too, with lots of restaurants. Just down the road are a Starbucks, a Nanyang coffeehouse and a few seafood restaurants. I prefer to eat here as the prices are reasonable and it tastes better than the food in Genting Highlands. Good choice!

It was a great stay! Prior to my trip, the fun manager send me all sorts of information I would need via WhatsApp. He/she also check in with us if all was good when we managed to check-in. There's no check-in counter but it wasn't that difficult to find the keys, just follow the instructions will do. My bf and I had quite a bit of fun trying to figure out where the keys were at. Everything was great except I would have wished that the pillows weren't that soft and if there's a smart TV. There were quite alot of channels to watch but we only ended up alternating between two channels. Would be great if there's a smart TV which we can use to watch movies online. I love that the WiFi speed is super fast, hence with the smart TV, it would definitely add to the whole experience. Thumbs up for sky d mont! Slightly pricier than other hotels, but I will definitely consider going back for my next genting trip!

Pro -Checking in was easy. - owner gave good instructions to access to this apartment -Owner are contactable thru whatapp. -The apartment was spacious & clean -Instant coffee provided - towel provided ( but we dun use them ) - security guard checked - Enough carpark space for visitor - water heater hot enough Cons - realized the main door was actually spoil. If u push hard a little, it will just open even if u lock it. So we lock the gate as well. This we felt a bit unsafe. - both bathrooms cannot be use for shower at the same time. The common toilet water pressure really low. - only one small stand fan is provided in master, not enough as it’s not Cold. - if u open the Window to get some cold air outside it’s will too noisy, and when close the window u feel stuffy.

The apartment is clean as well as the bed. But the location abit far to Genting Highland about 20minute drive. Driving around 5minute u may see there is some Restaurant nearby and the food price is cheapest than Genting Highland for example 1plate of fried rice cost RM12 and u can't get it at Genting Highland (cost RM20). Parking is free, no WiFi and Air-con (only provide fan). Apartment price is abit expensive if stay for 2adult and 2Children but if stay with 6adult and 2Children is Cheap. The apartment I stay have 2room. 1room with 2super Single Beded with toilet and another room is 2queen beded with toilet. Overall is up to u, either ur main choose is clean then u choose this apartment and if ur main choose is location then u should go to First World or Theme Park. As I choose clean due to my children skin allergy.

The hotel outlook is dirty and old. Through the hotel manager, they claimed that the hotel has been rent for foreigner workers as a hostel. We're not to be racist but the criminal record the they did is hardly to persuade us to stay along with them plus there is no safety guards on call and do the round. Please understand if a family stayed there with two small kids and two young lady , we're strongly feels uncomfortable and unsafe to stay. The actual distance from hotel to genting that shows in agoda booking details is more further. Walking distance takes 1hours, by car needs 15-20minutes.

The home is located halfway up Genting Highlands, less than 15 mins drive to GPO. It is quite deep in from the exit (about 5 mins drive), but it's good as it makes the place quiet. The unit is very clean and well decorated. Everything placed within the unit is well thought and amenities provided by the host is very thorough. Initially I was sceptical that the unit could host up to 10 pax, but it truly was able to cater for us all. I have to commend the host as well. Kenny is super prompt and was more than happy to cater for my requests. In fact, he was willing to go the distance to ensure the requests are fulfilled. Would highly recommend the host.
