Kanskarinn is a charming little mom and pop place. The restaurant is busy with locals for obvious reasons; the food is good and the owners are hands on and friendly. From the outside, the Hotel looks a little tired, but the inside is clean and the recently added rooms are modern and comfortable.

I really like the wake up call service for the Northern light. And the location for the light is perfect, away from town, and city lights. Highly recommended place to stay. A good view of the sunrise with a nice mountain facing. Very cosy and clean. Everything you need to cook is available in the kitchen. And there’s even baking equipment! Would stay here again if we’re in the area. We will probably stay more than 1 night the next round and just chill around :)
