"This was the best place we stayed at in Iceland! It was a stopover during our self-drive in the south. It was only the two of us but we were given a HOUSE with two double rooms, large bathroom, large lounge/kitchen area, and an outside hidden jacuzzi that unfortunately we didn't use. Everything was IKEA though, IKEA beds, furniture, cupboards - they look good but will they last? Breakfast buffet was amazing, they even served champagne! We didn't have dinner here but heard the live singer who sounded like Elvis. The whole complex consists of houses built on a circular road, so it was quite a walk back to the office, especially in the snow. The only thing I can fault is they need to have a phone in the houses to actually call the office if anything bad happens."

"Located in a very isolated place, but still easy to reach, this hotel is perfect if you are on the adventure side to explore the innerlands of Iceland. A tad overpriced for the value offered for available facilities, here's my experience: PROs: - Location is stunning if you are after disconnecting with the world and experience the wilderness of the country side. Self drive there for a full experience - Food and wine served at the restaurant at top notch quality. Breakfast lacks variety, but it's good quality. Can improve: - The spa area is poorly placed, under the concrete pillars, in a very windy setting, with no open view on the sky above. I'd have preferred to see this in an open space, properly fenced with high glass screens to protect from heavy wind and still enjoy being in warm water under a starry sky. - We traveled in winter time, and yes, it snows. Please provide covered parking for cars. In the morning, we have to remove the snow and ice from the car."
